Roamers Beach RV Resort Introduce
For our users in US who are actively searching the "camping near me" category for potential RV resorts and campgrounds, let us take a look at Roamers Beach RV Resort, located at 2021 Skip Morgan Dr, Hammonton, New Jersey, USA. It is crucial to approach the introduction of this campground with objectivity, based solely on the very limited recent customer feedback available online. The information suggests a period of significant transition and potential challenges at this location that prospective visitors should be aware of.
Based on the limited reviews, the recent history of Roamers Beach RV Resort appears to be concerning. One long-time observer noted that the campground had been closed for two consecutive years under new ownership, which is a significant issue for a business that relies on seasonal operation. This former patron reminisced about the resort being a "nice campground under the previous owners" and expressed disappointment and frustration over the apparent lack of operation by the new owners, especially in comparison to other campgrounds in the South Jersey area that remained open. This suggests a potential period of inactivity or significant disruption in the resort's operation.
The second review provides insight into a more recent experience, indicating that the resort might have reopened, at least partially. This customer had booked a site a month in advance, implying that reservations were being accepted. They highlighted a significant issue: the showers were not working due to ongoing renovations. What is particularly concerning is that this information was not communicated to the guest until after they had checked in, paid, and their children were already enjoying the lake. The reviewer was informed that the showers had been out of service for the entire season. This lack of proactive communication about a fundamental amenity is a serious drawback for any campground.
Despite the negative experience with the non-functional showers and the delayed communication, the reviewer did mention some positive aspects of the resort. They noted "nice sights" and a "great view," suggesting that the location itself has inherent appeal, possibly due to its proximity to a lake. However, they also echoed the sentiment that the resort is in need of updating "all around," implying that the facilities might be aging or not well-maintained.
The limited information available makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of the environment, services, and features of Roamers Beach RV Resort in its current state. However, we can infer some possibilities based on the name and the mention of a lake. An "RV Resort" typically suggests facilities catering to recreational vehicles, potentially including hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. The presence of a lake implies waterfront campsites and the possibility of water-based recreational activities such as swimming, fishing, or boating, although the reviews do not explicitly confirm these are currently operational or accessible.
Given the issues raised in the reviews, it is unclear what services are reliably available at this time. The lack of working showers is a major concern. The mention of "nice sights" suggests that the individual campsites might be appealing in terms of their layout or natural surroundings. However, the need for overall updating indicates potential shortcomings in other areas, which could include the condition of roads, communal facilities (if any are operational), or other amenities typically expected at an RV resort.
Features that might have been present under previous ownership, such as planned activities, a camp store, or other recreational facilities, are not mentioned in the recent negative reviews. The focus is solely on the closure, the lack of communication regarding broken amenities, and the general need for updates. This absence of positive mentions about features suggests that these might either be non-operational or not noteworthy in the context of the more pressing issues experienced by recent guests.
No promotional information is available in the provided text. Given the current state of apparent disrepair and operational challenges, it is unlikely that the resort is actively promoting its services. Any potential promotional material from the past might no longer be relevant under the new ownership and current conditions.
For our users in US exploring "camping near me" and considering Roamers Beach RV Resort based on its name and potential location near a lake in South Jersey, it is crucial to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough and up-to-date research before making any booking. The recent feedback raises significant red flags regarding the operational status, communication practices, and the condition of essential amenities like showers. The potential for closure for extended periods is also a serious concern.
If you are interested in lakefront RV camping in the Hammonton, NJ area, it would be prudent to look for alternative campgrounds or RV resorts that have more recent and positive reviews regarding their operation, amenities, and customer service. Checking online camping directories, review websites, and contacting the facilities directly for the most current information would be essential steps in planning a reliable and enjoyable camping trip.
In conclusion, based on the limited recent customer feedback, Roamers Beach RV Resort near Hammonton, NJ, appears to be facing significant challenges under new ownership. Reports of extended closures and a lack of communication regarding non-functional essential amenities like showers are serious concerns. While the location might offer nice views and lakefront sites, the need for overall updates suggests potential issues with the facilities. For our users in US seeking "camping near me" and considering this resort, we strongly advise seeking more current information from multiple sources and potentially looking at alternative campgrounds in the South Jersey area to ensure a positive and hassle-free camping experience. The limited information available does not paint a picture of a currently reliable or well-managed camping destination.

Roamers Beach RV Resort Reviews
A note to the new owners... What a shame, closed two years in a row. This used to be a nice campground under the previous owners. I don't know what the new owners are like but they seem to be scared of their own shadow. Afraid to open up unlike EVERY OTHER CAMPGROUND in South Jersey. We love the lake and those sites but they lost our business for good.
Apr 16, 2022 · ToddI booked the sight a month in advance and nobody mentions that the showers don’t work. I didn’t get a phone call until we had already checked in and paid and the kids were in the lake. This is when they decided to tell me the showers haven’t been working all season because they under renovations. Would have been good to know this prior to staying there. Other then that, nice sights, great view but definitely need updating all around.
Aug 23, 2019 · Daniel CicalaThe new owners have a lot of work ahead of them to bring this campground up to par, the couple working there do the best they can with what they have to work with, very helpful and friendly. This place has great potential, we would go back for a weekend but it doesn't have the resort feel or amenities one would expect for an extended stay.
Sep 12, 2019 · T DLet me start by saying this campground IS on the older side. It’s not going to give you all the amenities that some will offer, but we love the lake!! We have a site (there are many) that sit right on the beach and the kids can just play in the water all day. They even have Sunday church service if you’re interested. It’s pretty quiet and not crowded, so we will definitely be back. Also, WiFi at the campsite is a plus!!!
Jun 21, 2018 · William ShepherdI suggest you check this place out before you make reservations. I really wanted to like this place as it is close and a Christian business. I really appreciated seeing Bible verses around the campground. BUT this is super rustic. We basically dry camp with our RV at NJ state campgrounds. All I can say is that most of the state campgrounds are beautiful and half the price. Yes, no hookups but that is not a problem for us. Indian Branch does have WIFI and hook ups but it has no paved roads and it just looks not cared for. We drove around and checked it out - and left.
