The environment at Robins FamCamp is highly regarded for its natural beauty and tranquility. Situated amongst tall pine and oak trees, the campground offers a significant amount of shade throughout the day for every one of its 24 sites. This natural canopy provides a welcome coolness during the warmer Georgia months, enhancing the comfort and enjoyment of your stay. The mature trees contribute to a serene and picturesque setting, making it an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
One of the standout features of Robins FamCamp, as highlighted by a returning visitor, is the exceptional management, with the park manager, Jerry, being specifically praised as "the best." This suggests a well-organized and guest-focused operation, where campers can expect helpful and friendly service. Such positive management contributes significantly to the overall positive experience of staying at the campground.
The campground boasts abundant hiking trails that originate directly from the park. This is a significant advantage for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy exploring the natural surroundings on foot. These trails likely wind through the wooded areas, offering opportunities for exercise, wildlife viewing, and immersion in nature without having to drive to separate trailheads. The convenience of having these trails accessible directly from the campsites adds considerable value to the camping experience.
For families traveling with children, Robins FamCamp offers the added benefit of two playgrounds within the park. These dedicated play areas provide safe and fun spaces for kids to burn energy, socialize, and stay entertained during their stay. The presence of multiple playgrounds indicates a commitment to catering to families and ensuring that children have engaging activities available.
In terms of campsite infrastructure, Robins FamCamp provides nearly level concrete pads for parking RVs and other camping vehicles. This ensures a stable and even surface for setting up camp. Additionally, the sites feature asphalt paved approaches, making it easier and cleaner to maneuver vehicles in and out of the campsites. These well-maintained pads and approaches contribute to a more comfortable and hassle-free camping experience.
While one review mentions staying in the "overflow section," the details about this area are limited. However, the reviewer noted that arriving during daylight hours made it much easier to get settled in, suggesting that the overflow area might have less defined setups or could be more challenging to navigate in the dark. The primary 24 sites are clearly well-established with the described concrete pads and asphalt approaches.
Based on the information provided, it can be inferred that the 24 main sites at Robins FamCamp likely offer essential hookups for RVs, although the specific types (full hookup vs. partial) are not explicitly mentioned for all sites in the second review. However, given that it's described as an "RV park" and the presence of concrete pads suggests RV accommodation, it is probable that at least some, if not all, of the 24 sites offer water and electrical hookups. To get precise details on the hookup availability at each site type, direct inquiry with the campground is recommended.
While there is no specific mention of other amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi in the provided reviews, it is common for well-regarded RV parks and campgrounds, especially those within military installations, to offer these conveniences. Campers planning a stay might want to inquire about the availability of these facilities when making reservations.
Similarly, no specific promotional information is included in the reviews. Local users interested in staying at Robins FamCamp are advised to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, reservation procedures, eligibility requirements (given its location on a military base), and any special offers that might be available.

Robins FamCamp Reviews
Great location and experience when in the area. A little off the path if you are just travelling through, but a good value. We stayed in the overflow section. This time we arrived in daylight hours and it was much easier to get settled in.
Mar 12, 2025 · Bill BarleyThis is our favorite RV park. Park manager, Jerry is the best. 24 sites nestled in among tall pine and oak trees. Every site has shade sometime during the day. Abundant hiking trails from the park as well as two play grounds in the park. Sites have nearly level concrete pads and asphalt paved approaches.
Oct 15, 2021 · Lawrence BacaA real nice little RV Famcamp, restrooms/bathhouse/laundry room is outdated. It's relatively clean, but in need of updating. The sites are level concrete pads, some are close together, site #3 (which I had) was kinda by itself, not as close to the others, the RV park in "in the woods by the lake".Directions: I-75 exit 144 (Buc-ees), head east on Russell Pkwy, stay strait on Russell Pkwy all the way to the gate, through the gate, (Russell Pkwy turns into Robbins Pkwy) T/R first road, then immediate right turn again, follow this strait, kinda bear right in front of base housing, proceed strait, follow Famcamp signs.
Jan 09, 2025 · Roger JonesVery nice small campground by a lake. Very close to bx and commissary, has walking trails and a playground for kids. Full hookups available and for being on a base relatively quiet...has numerous walking trails and the campsite lake even has a 🐊. Was a great overnite stop to Tallulah gorge and Smoky Mountains. Will return in the fall.
