A Welcoming and Inclusive Community: Oz Campground is praised for its friendly and inclusive atmosphere. One reviewer noted that the "staff, residents, and fellow guests were all very friendly," contributing to a sense of community where everyone feels welcome. Another guest echoed this sentiment, stating they "absolutely loved this place" and found it to have a "great community" where they "felt included." This emphasis on a positive and accepting social environment is a key feature that sets Oz Campground apart, making it an attractive destination for those seeking a relaxed and non-judgmental camping experience.
Fantastic Amenities for a Comfortable Stay: Oz Campground offers a variety of amenities designed to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of its guests. A standout feature is the "heated pool," allowing for a refreshing swim regardless of the season. The presence of an on-site "Cafe" provides the convenience of enjoying excellent meals without having to leave the campground. Additionally, the availability of a bar where guests can have "a few well drinks" adds to the social and recreational options within the property. These amenities contribute to a resort-like feel within a campground setting.
Extensive Trails for Outdoor Activities: For those who enjoy staying active in nature, Oz Campground offers well-maintained trails suitable for various activities. One reviewer specifically mentioned riding their "mountain bike on several of the trails," indicating that the terrain is suitable for cycling. Another guest highlighted the "great trails for a morning run" and mentioned being able to easily get around 5-6 miles exploring them all. These trails provide opportunities for exercise, exploration, and immersion in the natural surroundings of the campground.
Clean and Convenient Facilities: Ensuring a comfortable and hygienic stay, Oz Campground provides well-maintained facilities for its guests. Tent sites are described as "maintained" and conveniently located near a restroom facility. Furthermore, the "wash house" is easily accessible by a short walk or bike ride and offers "nice showers," "temperature controlled restrooms," and a "laundry facility." The availability of laundry services is particularly beneficial for longer stays. While the bathrooms are also co-ed, one reviewer noted that "that's not a big deal," suggesting that this aligns with the open and accepting atmosphere of the campground.
Convenient Location with Access to External Resources: Oz Campground benefits from a convenient location near major transportation routes. It is easily accessible from both I-75 and I-16, making it a convenient stop for travelers and a readily reachable destination for local residents. Additionally, the campground is situated just about 15 minutes away from a city that offers more restaurant options and essential supplies at a Food Lion (for ice and firewood). This proximity to external resources ensures that guests have easy access to additional dining and shopping needs beyond what is available on-site.
Suggestions for Improvement: While the overall experience at Oz Campground is highly positive according to the reviews, one guest offered a constructive suggestion for improving the tent sites. The suggestion included the addition of "maybe a dedicated tent pad, pea gravel or sand maybe as a base and somewhat level." This feedback indicates that while the tent sites are currently maintained and convenient, there is potential for enhancement to further improve the comfort and setup for tent campers. The reviewer, however, noted that this was "not really a huge deal" and did not detract significantly from their otherwise fantastic experience, emphasizing their intention to return soon.

Oz Campground Reviews
Just completed a camping trip this weekend and it was fantastic. I rode my mountain bike on several of the trails, ate an excellent meal at the Cafe, had a few well drinks, and swam in the heated pool. Staff, residents, and fellow guests were all very friendly. This place is co-ed which makes it a good place for open minded couples to come and relax, no pressure as it's clothing optional. I stayed in a tent site and they were maintained and it was convenient to a restroom facility. It was also not a long walk or bike ride to the wash house which had nice showers, temperature controlled restrooms and a laundry facility. Bathrooms are also co-ed, but that's not a big deal. It's convenient to I-75 and I-16, and there is a city about 15 minutes away with more restaurant options and a food lion (Ice and firewood). I would like to see the tent sites improved with maybe a dedicated tent pad, pea gravel or sand maybe as a base and somewhat level, but thats nit really a huge deal. Definitely will be coming back again soon.
Mar 30, 2025 · Joseph JohnsonAbsolutely loved this place. Quiet, tons of space, great community. I felt included and just generally had a good time. Also great trails for a morning run and can easily get around 5-6 miles exploring them all.
May 20, 2024 · Justyn AcordIve been to a few other clothing-optional venues and this one is decent. I didn't have a bad time here but if you're not used to the ebb and flow or aren't staying for long, you might not get a very substantial experience.
