Sandager Park - Lisbon Park District Introduce
For local users in the 'camping near me' category seeking a truly exceptional park experience that includes camping facilities, Sandager Park - Lisbon Park District, located at 7 Parkway Dr, Lisbon, ND 58054, stands out as a highly recommended destination based on glowing customer reviews. This isn't just a campground; it's a beautifully maintained park offering a wide array of recreational opportunities alongside comfortable camping accommodations.
The environment of Sandager Park is consistently described as beautiful. One reviewer explicitly stated, "This is a beautiful park!" and another called it "one of the nicest parks I've ever explored. Beautiful!" The presence of "huge shade trees" suggests a mature and inviting landscape, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The park appears to be meticulously maintained, with reviewers noting that they saw people actively mowing lawns and cleaning the bathrooms during their stay. This attention to upkeep contributes significantly to the overall positive atmosphere of the park.
For those looking to camp, Sandager Park offers full hookup sites suitable for RVs. One reviewer stayed in a back-in site with their 27' travel trailer and noted that there were five other RVs present during their one-night stay, indicating that the park is equipped to accommodate multiple RV travelers. Booking was reported to be easy online, which adds to the convenience for local users planning a quick getaway.
The services and facilities at Sandager Park extend far beyond just camping. A short walk from the RV area leads to the main section of the park, which is exceptionally well-maintained. The bathrooms are highlighted as being very clean, and one reviewer's husband reported enjoying a great shower, which is always a welcome amenity for campers. This attention to cleanliness in essential facilities underscores the park's commitment to guest comfort.
The features of Sandager Park truly make it a standout destination for local recreation. A significant highlight is the presence of a "huge municipal pool with lifeguards," making it an ideal spot for families to cool off and enjoy some summer fun. In addition to the pool, the park boasts a baseball field, a playground for children, and even a mini-golf course, providing a diverse range of recreational activities for all ages. The abundance of pavilions and picnic tables scattered throughout the park suggests ample space for gatherings, picnics, and enjoying meals outdoors.
One of the most appealing aspects for budget-conscious local users is the fantastic value offered at Sandager Park. One reviewer mentioned that a night with full hookups cost only $34, which they deemed a "fantastic deal" considering the quality of the park and the range of amenities available. This affordability, combined with the excellent facilities and beautiful environment, makes Sandager Park an incredibly attractive option for 'camping near me'.
The only minor issue reported in the reviews concerned the Wi-Fi service. One reviewer noted that while there were apparently two Wi-Fi networks associated with the park, only one appeared as available on their device. When they contacted the office, the password provided was for the other network that wasn't showing up. While the staff member, Meredith, was reportedly working on confirming the correct passwords, the issue was not resolved during the reviewer's one-night stay. This seems to be an isolated incident and didn't significantly detract from the overall positive experience, but it's something to be aware of for those who rely heavily on Wi-Fi during their camping trips.
The overwhelming sentiment from the reviews is a strong recommendation for Sandager Park - Lisbon Park District. The combination of beautiful surroundings, well-maintained facilities, a wide array of recreational features, and affordable rates makes it an exceptional choice for local users seeking a camping and park experience. Whether you're looking for a short RV stay with full hookups or a day out enjoying the pool and mini-golf, Sandager Park appears to offer something for everyone.

When contacting the Lisbon Park District, local users should inquire about whether pets are allowed in the campground and park areas, if there are any specific rules or designated areas for pets, and what accessibility features are available for individuals with mobility challenges or other disabilities, including at campsites, restrooms, and recreational facilities like the pool and playground.

This is a beautiful park! We stayed one night in a full hookup site with our 27' travel trailer. It was a back-in site in a small gravel area, and the night we were there, there were five other RV's there as well. Booking was easy online.A short walk from the RV area is the most beautiful park. It is beautifully maintained with huge shade trees. While we were there, we saw people mowing the lawns and cleaning the bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean and my husband reported a great shower. There is a huge municipal pool with lifeguards, a baseball field, a playground, mini-golf and lots of pavilions and picnic tables. It was a fantastic deal for $34 a night! The only downside was that apparently there are two WIFI networks associated with the campground/park, but only one network showed up on my device as available. When I called Meredith at the office to inquire about the password, she gave me the password she had, but it was the password for the OTHER network which was not showing up on my device. I think she was working on confirming the correct password for both networks, but as I was only staying one night, it wasn't fixed while I was there. Not sure why this hadn't come up before - ?We highly recommend this campground!
Jul 26, 2024 · M VThis is one of the nicest parks I've ever explored. Beautiful!
May 20, 2024 · Don KostuckMini golf is nice and simple, though remember plenty of quarters to play. We did have an issue with the change machine not working this summer.Pool is great. Kids had lots of.
Aug 31, 2023 · David McCallumGreat campground and several great amenities. The Lisbon parks dept. needs to trim low hanging tree limbs. Not just a few, many. North, South, East and West; all 4 had tree limbs hanging at 13ft to15ft that scraped the roof of our RV pretty badly 3 weeks ago. Otherwise, a great campground!
Jul 23, 2023 · MJ SWe enjoy having a small picnic in this park. Many nice trees and green grass. It's usually not busy.
