One of Michigan's best campgrounds with easy access to hiking the Manistee River Trail (a trailhead is located within the campground). For non-hikers, there is ample access to the river and a consistently quiet campground to enjoy engaging in nature. Ammenities includeclean outhouse bathrooms, roomy sites, and a water pump.
Apr 06, 2023 · Brittany AndreadisEnsure you have cash or check! There is a fee box and the camp host has no digital pay options. Site 3 was bomb diggity! But, if a group campsite is occupied, it may get too loud due to them. Bathrooms were clean, like the cleanest vault toilets I've experienced.
Jun 07, 2024 · claire buchananLove to hike and camp here!! Absolutely amazing! Groundskeeper is incredibly kind and homely! Took my boys this time and still the amazing welcoming. Will always come here!
Jun 10, 2018 · SteveLoved this campground. Now you need to realize this is a rustic campground. Meaning, no showers or running water. There are vault toilets ( out houses ) and hand pump well water. Now if this is what your looking for, you found it. Awesome hiking trails, being part of the North country trail. Beautiful water for kayaking or fishing. Lots of wildlife to view. The campsites are kept clean and it is usually pretty quiet. There is a town where you can get groceries and supplies about a ten minute drive. Loved this place! Will be back many times!
Jun 23, 2017 · joel stoinOne of my new favorite escapes! So glad that we found this little gem. After a day of bad reservations, and non helpful park service rangers; this little spot gave me more than expected. We will return again many times in the future!
