Shady Firs RV & Campsite Introduce
For local residents and travelers seeking "camping near me" in the Randle, Washington area, Shady Firs RV & Campsite, located at 10205 US-12, Randle, WA 98377, USA, presents itself as an option catering to both short-term and potentially long-term stays. The available reviews offer contrasting perspectives, with one highlighting exceptional value for long-term residents, while the other recounts a negative experience as a prospective short-term visitor. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of what Shady Firs RV & Campsite might offer, based solely on the provided customer feedback.
The environment of Shady Firs RV & Campsite, based on the positive long-term resident review, appears to offer spacious lots, at least within the long-term section of the park. This particular resident describes a fenced-in lot that includes fruit trees and a storage shed, suggesting a more established and personalized living space than typical RV parks. The presence of a "beautiful lawn" further indicates a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment, at least in some areas of the park. The mention of included utilities – water, sewer, garbage, and electricity – as part of the monthly lot rental points to a convenient and potentially cost-effective living arrangement for long-term residents. The overall impression from this review is of a comfortable and well-serviced environment for those choosing to reside in the park long-term.
In terms of services, the long-term resident review explicitly mentions the inclusion of water, sewer, garbage, and electricity in the monthly lot rental. This suggests that these essential utilities are provided for long-term occupants. The presence of a fenced-in lot and a storage shed on at least one long-term site indicates that some level of infrastructure and amenities beyond basic hookups may be available for long-term residents. The negative review from a prospective short-term visitor does not provide details about the standard services offered to transient campers or RVers. Therefore, information regarding short-term amenities such as hookup types (e.g., 30/50 amp electric), water and sewer connections for short-term RV sites, restroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi availability is not present in the provided feedback. Potential short-term visitors would need to seek this information directly from Shady Firs RV & Campsite.
The features of Shady Firs RV & Campsite are highlighted differently by the two reviewers. The long-term resident emphasizes the spaciousness of the lots, the inclusion of fruit trees and a storage shed on their site, and the comprehensive utility package at a competitive price. They explicitly state that they have not found comparable value elsewhere in their cross-country travels, suggesting that the long-term living arrangement offers unique and attractive features. On the other hand, the prospective short-term visitor's experience focuses on negative interactions with staff and the perceived lack of clear procedures for visiting or booking a short-term stay. This review mentions being told to book in advance and then being asked to leave the property by someone on a golf cart, citing a need for an appointment. This paints a picture of potentially unclear or unwelcoming features for prospective short-term campers.
There is no explicit promotional information provided for Shady Firs RV & Campsite in the given reviews. The positive feedback from the long-term resident could be seen as an implicit endorsement for long-term living within the park, highlighting the value and amenities offered for monthly renters. However, the negative experience of the prospective short-term visitor serves as a cautionary note for those considering a short visit. This conflicting feedback underscores the importance of gathering more information and potentially contacting the park directly to understand their policies and offerings for different types of stays.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Shady Firs RV & Campsite presents a mixed picture based on the available reviews. For those considering long-term RV living in the Randle area, the positive review suggests a potentially excellent value proposition with spacious lots and included utilities. The mention of fruit trees and storage sheds on some long-term sites adds to the appeal. However, for those seeking short-term RV or campsite options, the negative review raises concerns about the booking process and interactions with staff. It is crucial for prospective short-term visitors to contact Shady Firs RV & Campsite directly to inquire about availability, booking procedures, site amenities, and to get a clear understanding of their policies for transient guests.
To obtain further information about Shady Firs RV & Campsite, including short-term rates, amenities, and booking procedures, local users should contact them directly at (360) 497-6108 or +1 360-497-6108. Speaking with the management will provide the most accurate and up-to-date details for those considering a stay, whether short-term or long-term. It would be wise to inquire specifically about the booking process for short-term stays and to understand the park's policies for visiting and securing a campsite or RV spot.
In conclusion, Shady Firs RV & Campsite near Randle, WA, appears to offer a potentially attractive long-term living option for RVers, characterized by spacious lots, included utilities, and a sense of value. However, the experience for short-term visitors, based on one negative review, may be less straightforward. Local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh these contrasting perspectives and are strongly advised to contact Shady Firs RV & Campsite directly to obtain comprehensive information relevant to their specific needs, whether for a short getaway or a longer-term residence.

Shady Firs RV & Campsite Reviews
We live here in the long term section of the park and have been here for over 6 years now and have no plans for leaving anytime soon. We have a fenced in lot with fruit trees, a storage shed and most parks would have put 2 or 3 trailers in the nice lot we have with a beautiful lawn and water, sewer, garbage and electricity are included in the monthly lot rental. We have traveled across the country and never found anything like this even for 2 or 3 times the price we pay here.
May 30, 2024 · Richard MollerWe're going to change locations thought Shady Spurs look like a nice place metal Old Gentleman told us go ahead and take a look at the place we have to book in advance. Not a problem then some crazy woman on a golf cart cutting through camps told us that we only had to be there by appointment we had to get off the property. Wouldn't go back to save my life. Hope this helps other people to find a better spot to camp.
Sep 02, 2024 · Scott CurtisShady Firs is a wonderful, quiet campground. $35 a night for full hook up, with a Passport America membership, otherwise, $60 a night. We have a 45' fifth wheel. This price includes trash.
Oct 01, 2024 · Jacintha Shop-WifeA old park off HWY 12. A nice owner. No mobile phone, no WIFI. Good for a one night stay.
Jul 18, 2023 · Elizabeth GiulianiBeautiful wooded RV park in the perfect location between Mt St Helens and Mt rainier. Quiet and private. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.
