Sparrow Rapids Campground Reviews
Great little campground! We stayed here for a week at the end of June. It has about 6 campsites that are decently spaced with tree blocks between each one, making them pretty private. There are vault toilets near the camp entrance. No water either so make sure you have your own. There is however pretty good cell coverage. We were able to get online no problem and check out local places and hiking.
Jul 15, 2022 · Johanna BoevreeGorgeous sites with a trout stream running nearby. A decent gravel road and close to the small town tavern. It didn't feel as secluded due to how easy it was to access but the sites were very large and decently spaced. The bathrooms were probably the creepiest ones yet with tons of spiderwebs and very small pit toilet but I'm thankful for them none the less. Fall colors were peaking and it was nice to have 5G service on T-Mobile to plan out the next day.
Oct 15, 2024 · SummerStumbled across this little gem.Quiet, near empty. No water unless from the river but, gorgeous.Highlight of our trip so far!Falling asleep with the sound of the Rapids flowing, Is a definate perk!Bugs not bad at all; another welcome surprise!
Jul 24, 2018 · Melissa RoweEasy drive in from the highway. Quiet spots with good space in between. River makes nice sounds in the first few sites but can’t hear so much on the other end of the loop. The outhouses should be avoided if at all possible. Two bars are only a few minutes drive so plan ahead. Watch for randy turtles in season. ;)
Jun 07, 2024 · Will HopwoodExcellent camping! Sound of rapids at site six, excellent Verizon coverage, no flies and clean pit toilets. Wonderful if you like to get away from it all.
