Springer Hollow Group Campsite Introduce
For local Utah residents seeking an excellent location for group camping, Springer Hollow Group Campsite near Midway presents a compelling option. Featured within the 'camping near me' category, this campsite offers a range of amenities and a spacious layout designed specifically to accommodate larger groups looking to enjoy the outdoors together.
The environment at Springer Hollow Group Campsite is described as appealing by visitors. While specific details about the natural landscape are somewhat limited in the provided reviews, the mention of a beautiful golf course being right next door suggests a pleasant and potentially scenic setting. The presence of a nearby Nature Trail also indicates opportunities for easy hikes and exploration of the local flora and fauna, adding to the overall outdoor experience.
One of the standout features of Springer Hollow Group Campsite is its impressive pavilion. According to a recent camper, the pavilion is notably large and equipped with practical amenities, including a sink and a counter. This provides a significant advantage for group camping, offering a dedicated space for prepping food and cleaning dishes, enhancing the convenience of outdoor cooking and meal times for larger numbers of people. The spaciousness of the pavilion also suggests it could serve as a central gathering area for various group activities, providing shelter from the elements if needed.
In terms of camping arrangements, Springer Hollow Group Campsite offers plenty of space for tents. The review mentions "plenty of places for tents," indicating that groups can comfortably set up multiple sleeping areas to accommodate all members. This is a crucial feature for a designated group campsite, ensuring that everyone has a suitable space to rest and sleep after a day of outdoor activities.
For recreational activities within the campsite itself, Springer Hollow offers a horseshoe pit. This classic outdoor game provides a fun and engaging way for group members to socialize and enjoy some friendly competition. The presence of this amenity adds to the appeal of the campsite as a destination that caters to group entertainment.
Convenience is further enhanced by the availability of flushing toilets nearby. This is a significant advantage over more primitive camping options and contributes to a more comfortable and hygienic experience for larger groups, particularly those that may include individuals less accustomed to rustic camping conditions.
Adding to the recreational opportunities in the vicinity, the campsite's proximity to a beautiful golf course offers an additional option for group members who enjoy golfing. While not directly part of the campsite, its close proximity provides a convenient activity for those interested.
However, it's important to consider some drawbacks mentioned in the reviews. One camper noted that during their visit, a significant number of the showers were out of order, with 3 out of 5 being unusable. This is a crucial piece of information for groups relying on these facilities and suggests that the availability of showers may be unreliable at times. It would be wise for potential visitors to inquire about the current status of the showers before their visit.
Another concern raised by a camper was the "excessive amount of wasps in the pavilion area." This could potentially impact the enjoyment and comfort of using the pavilion for food preparation and gathering. The reviewer's experience highlights the need for caution and proactive measures, such as bringing or purchasing wasp traps, to mitigate this issue.
In addition to the group camping aspects, the campsite also serves as the starting point for a Nature Trail. One visitor who did not camp at the site hiked a portion of the trail with young children and reported a positive experience. The trail begins at the campsite and extends 0.5 miles to the "trailhead" of a 1.3-mile Nature Trail Loop. Even a short walk to the trailhead and back was enjoyable for this family, suggesting that the campsite offers access to pleasant walking and light hiking opportunities suitable for various ages and abilities.
While specific promotional offers are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the inherent appeal of Springer Hollow Group Campsite lies in its suitability for group gatherings, its spacious pavilion with food preparation amenities, ample tent sites, recreational features like the horseshoe pit, and the convenience of flushing toilets. The access to a nearby golf course and a Nature Trail further enhances its attractiveness as a destination for groups with diverse interests.
For local users searching within the 'camping near me' category and specifically looking for a group camping facility near Midway, Utah, Springer Hollow Group Campsite offers a well-equipped option. Groups should, however, be aware of the potential issues with shower availability and the presence of wasps in the pavilion area and plan accordingly. Despite these drawbacks, the overall positive feedback regarding the pavilion, tent space, and recreational features suggests a generally enjoyable experience for group outings.

Springer Hollow Group Campsite Reviews
I loved the campground. The pavilion was really large and had a sink and counter for prepping food and cleaning dishes. There was plenty of places for tents. There was a horseshoe pit and flushing toilets nearby. Beautiful golf course right next door. I would have given this 5 stars, but 3 out of the 5 showers were out of order. There was an excessive amount of wasps in the pavilion area. We were grateful we brought some yellow jackets traps and bought more in town.
Aug 11, 2021 · Janelle DayI didn't camp here, but hiked the Nature Trail with my 3 young kids. Trail starts here and goes 0.5 miles to the "trailhead" where the 1.3 mile Nature Trail Loop starts. We just went to the trailhead and back, but really enjoyed it!
