Standingdeer Campground Reviews
If you're going to camp, this is the place to do it!Grassy camping spots, spots by the river, nice and clean, clean bathroom, a gate for security. Everyone is wonderfully nice, absolutely no riff raff here. Friendly, inviting atmosphere.Love how quiet it was at night, couldn't hear the people next to us because of the water.
Oct 20, 2024 · Toni DavisOnly been once but one of the most memorable experiences I ever had and perfect! It all I hoped for and expected with variety of beauty and nature, calming and peaceful, quiet and primitive, clean and lovely. It’s really whatever you make of it, be laid back and relax or jump in and hike, swim, picnic, hammock, fishing, day-nap, bbq. Catch fireflies, bring pets, etc etc.. It’s wondrous and the welcoming staff are very helpful, kind, informative and friendly. Prices are fair. Love it and hope to visit again soon!

Apr 28, 2025 · Tormenta ElnegroI've been going here for over ten years now, and it will forever have a place in my heart. The owner used to go around and tell stories around the campfires. The stars at night are beautiful. I will be back as long as they're open for business. Riverside camping at its finest! That being said, they do have RV hookups riverside. Bathrooms / water /electrical are available.I hope I can go back this year...
Jan 20, 2014 · J KWe arrived in the evening, and no one was there to tell us where to camp. We just picked out a site ourselves. When you reserve a space in advance, you aren't given a particular site; it's first come, first serve. We weren't impressed by the care taken of the campground. The trash in the bathroom was never emptied, the toilet paper and paper towels ran out, the grass wasn't mowed. The women's bathroom has a water leak that causes a constant musty smell. The picnic tables at the sites are old and uncared for. There was poison ivy all around our site. Despite all that, the natural beauty of the river and trees helped make up for the lack of human caretaking.
