Steamboat Junction Campground Reviews
Yes this place is very nice very clean he takes good care of the place and once everyone to enjoy themselves the cleanest Porta pot I've ever seen nice shower and you can't beat the price for 10 bucks for camping that's $20 for water and Electric I would recommend this to anyone like somebody commented in the same it's a Hidden Gem along the Katy Trail
Oct 05, 2022 · tony maxamI stayed at this camground this past weekend while doing an overnight Katy Trail hike. It was a great spot to rest! The self check in was simple, and the cold drinks were a great blessing. The campground was clean and comfortable. The only noise in the campground was highway noise (and not much of that) and you could hear the train periodically. Neither of these were much of a factor but thought I'd mention it anyway. I was the only camper until about nightfall when a second person arrived. My expectations were that it would be quite busy with summertime, but the solitude was just another plus. One other thing to note was that I had no cell service at my campsite. If you need a signal you can just make the short walk back down to the entrance and you're in business. Great experience and I look forward to stopping by again sometime!
Aug 20, 2018 · Matt Wright MusicThis place is great. Owner run. 4 pull through RV spots with 30amp and water. Level spots under a canopy of walnut trees.
Sep 24, 2023 · L C CThe owner wasn't here when we stopped by, and with no signs directing us to the campground we were a bit confused at first. Almost rode on but then I hiked up the hill and past the barns and found the beautiful little clearing in the woods. We had the whole place to ourselves. Spotless porta potty, super clean shower with tons of hot water, as quiet as it with just some owls and barking foxes. Would absolutely camp there again if we ride the Katy again. And only $10! About the only negative would be the lack of cell coverage there, but that's not always a bad thing!
Jun 27, 2023 · John McRavenI've been here twice. There are pros and cons to the place, but its overall pros. First off, this place is small, but still has a lot of capacity. It is well hidden if you don't know what to look for. You have to go over the trail, past the snack shed and stay left for a bit. My best guess is that there are about 10 camp sites with fire rings. There is fresh water, a shower, and the cleanest port-a-potty I've ever seen in my life. It's a fairly quiet place being as set back as it is. The negatives depend on the kind of person you are. The first time I was here, I probably pulled 10 ticks off of my family and dog. However, the second time I saw none. Both times we saw some mega sized spiders which I believe to be tarantulas. They weren't a problem, mostly surprising.
