You can reach them at (850) 905-3220 or +1 850-905-3220 to inquire about availability and make reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, this campground offers a unique and highly enjoyable camping experience characterized by its stunning location, welcoming atmosphere, and access to the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast.
The environment of Indian Pass Campground is frequently highlighted as a major asset. Situated at the very end of a peninsula, the campground boasts "many beautiful water views," providing campers with picturesque scenery and a sense of being surrounded by the coast. The unique location also contributes to a feeling of safety, with no through traffic, ensuring a more peaceful and secure environment for your stay. The presence of "plenty of shade" is another significant environmental benefit, making campsites more comfortable, especially during the warmer months. The proximity to the water's edge allows for observing local marine life, with reviewers mentioning "lots of fish and even some live hermit crabs." For nature lovers, this immediate access to the coastal ecosystem is a significant draw.
In terms of services, the reviews consistently praise the staff, particularly the manager, Connie. One reviewer described her as "amazing—so friendly and helpful, truly going above and beyond to make our stay special." This level of hospitality contributes significantly to the overall positive experience. The "warm and inviting atmosphere" created by the entire staff suggests that campers can expect a welcoming and supportive environment throughout their stay. While the reviews don't detail specific amenities like laundry facilities or a camp store, the focus on the exceptional service indicates that the staff prioritizes guest satisfaction.
The features of Indian Pass Campground extend beyond its beautiful setting and friendly service. Its location at the end of a peninsula offers a sense of seclusion and tranquility. For families, the campground is described as a place where "our kids loved playing on the beach and exploring the area," suggesting it's a family-friendly destination with opportunities for children to engage with the natural environment. Furthermore, its central location provides a perfect base for exploring the surrounding attractions, including Apalachicola, Port St. Joe, and Cape San Blas. Each of these nearby areas offers its own unique charm and beauty, expanding the recreational possibilities for campers staying at Indian Pass Campground.
The promotional aspects evident in the customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive. One reviewer stated that their stay in early February 2025 made Indian Pass Campground "hands-down our favorite campground during our month-long Florida trip!" Such a strong endorsement speaks volumes about the quality of the experience offered here. The recurring themes of a "perfect location," "very safe" environment, "beautiful water views," and the "peaceful, laid-back vibe" all serve as compelling reasons to choose Indian Pass Campground for your "camping near me" search. The personal touch from the manager and staff, as highlighted in the reviews, adds an extra layer of appeal, suggesting a more personalized and enjoyable camping experience compared to larger, more impersonal campgrounds.
The reviews emphasize the natural beauty of the area, describing it as a "hidden gem" in the Panhandle. This suggests that visitors can expect a less crowded and more authentic coastal experience. The opportunity to observe marine life right at the water's edge adds a unique feature that many nature enthusiasts would appreciate. The shade provided by the environment is also a practical benefit, enhancing the comfort of the campsites, especially during sunny Florida days.
While the reviews primarily focus on the location, staff, and overall atmosphere, it's reasonable to infer that the campground offers standard camping amenities such as individual campsites, water and possibly electric hookups (though not explicitly mentioned in these reviews), and potentially restroom facilities. To get a comprehensive list of services and amenities, contacting them directly at the provided phone numbers would be the best course of action. However, the strong emphasis on the quality of the location and the staff suggests that the fundamental aspects of a pleasant camping experience are well-covered.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Indian Pass Campground presents an opportunity to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Florida Gulf Coast, enjoy stunning waterfront views, and experience the hospitality of a highly-regarded campground. Its strategic location also allows for easy exploration of nearby towns and natural areas, making it an ideal base for a coastal vacation. In conclusion, Indian Pass Campground appears to be an exceptional choice for those looking for "camping near me" in the Port St Joe area. Its perfect coastal location, complete with beautiful water views and abundant shade, combined with the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, creates a welcoming and memorable camping experience. I gave several days notice, no refund- NO exceptions.WiFi- nope, not much of a cell signal, but a little.Sewer- none at sites. At exit is a station, block drive when stopped on hill there.Bathhouse- was a nice shower/ facilities. Watch broken. Rotten boards on porch. Not 1 I’ll be back to
Apr 30, 2025 · Gary WardenI love Indian Pass campground! It's Old Florida vibe. Don't expect a swimming pool, tennis court or club house. This is a campground with wonderful people and best location ever for fisherman and boaters. A bit rustic but does have bathrooms! I will be back until I can't. Don't change IP and the wonderful ladies that handle the office and check in!
Apr 16, 2025 · Terri JaelaFound this gem by talking with other campers at other parks. From check in with Ms. Audra and Ms. Connie to speaking with the maintenance man I believe his name is Andy, everyone was SO nice and helpful. The secluded nature of the park is a huge draw for us, and all the other campers were super cool and super friendly. Being that it's only a few hours from our home, we will definitely be returning.
