Based on available customer reviews, Strawberry Bay Campground appears to offer a blend of natural beauty and convenient amenities, making it an attractive choice for various types of campers. One reviewer specifically highlights loop A of the campground, noting the presence of “quite a few trees” that provide welcome shade and contribute to a tranquil atmosphere. This suggests that at least some sections of the campground are well-forested, offering a more immersive and comfortable camping environment, especially during warmer months. The same reviewer also emphasizes the campground's prime location right next to the lake, providing easy access for launching kayaks and paddleboards. This feature would be particularly appealing to water sports enthusiasts looking for a campground that facilitates these activities directly from their campsite.
The helpfulness of the camp host, Bee, is also mentioned positively, with the reviewer noting their accommodating nature in allowing for extra nights of stay. This suggests that the campground staff is friendly and willing to assist campers, which can significantly enhance the overall camping experience. The reviewer also notes the varying occupancy levels, with the campground being mostly empty during the weekday, offering a quieter experience, and completely full on the weekend, indicating its popularity. Despite being full on the weekend, the atmosphere reportedly remained “pretty quiet and peaceful,” suggesting good management and respectful campers.
Furthermore, this review praises the campground's bathroom facilities, describing them as “nice” for a campground. The specific amenities mentioned include electricity, an outlet, hand soap, a mirror, and flush toilets. These features go beyond the basic expectations for many campgrounds and can greatly improve the comfort and convenience of campers, especially those who appreciate having access to power and more refined restroom facilities.
Another reviewer describes Strawberry Bay Campground as “just fine for a stay,” indicating a generally satisfactory experience. They note its decent distance from stores, which might imply a more secluded and natural setting, although it requires campers to be well-prepared with their supplies. A significant advantage mentioned is the nearby water access to all the sites and the proximity of the bathrooms, echoing the convenience highlighted in the first review. The reservoir is described as “gorgeous,” underscoring the scenic beauty of the location and its potential for recreational activities, although this reviewer noted the lack of easily accessible and appealing beach areas for swimming, mentioning that the ones they found were “super murky and rocky.” Despite this, they still found the views to be “nice” and the campground a “good place to hangout,” suggesting that the overall ambiance and natural surroundings are enjoyable.
An interesting observation from the second review is the presence of “a lot of gophers,” which might be a point of interest for nature lovers but could also be a consideration for those concerned about wildlife interactions or potential damage to belongings. This detail adds to the picture of the campground's natural environment.

The management, as indicated by the camp host's helpfulness, seems to be accommodating.
While the reviews provide valuable insights into the environment and some of the services and features, specific details about the types of campsites available (e.g., tent-only, RV sites with hookups), the availability of other amenities (e.g., fire pits, picnic tables, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi), and any specific rules or regulations are not mentioned. Strawberry Bay Campground Reviews
This particular loop, A, has quite a few trees providing some shade and tranquility. It’s also right next to the lake so can launch kayaks and paddle boards easily. The camp host, Bee, was more than accommodating to help me stay extra nights. During weekday, the camp was mostly empty. On the weekend it was completely full, but still seemed pretty quiet and peaceful. For a campground, the bathrooms were nice too with electricity, an outlet, hand soap, mirror, and flush toilets.
Jul 15, 2024 · Heather BarkerThe campground was just fine for a stay. Decently far from any stores but there is water access nearby to all the sites and close by bathrooms. The reservoir was gorgeous but there aren’t really any beach areas (the ones we found were super murky and rocky) so we didn’t do any swimming. Nice views though and a good place to hangout. Even saw a lot of gophers!

Apr 29, 2024 · Emilia SuarezWe love this campground, beautiful views, we stayed in Loop C and E and both Terri and Sherri Lynn are the best campground hosts ever. Friendly, always checking in with you and they keep the bathrooms immaculate. Thinking about doing a seasonal for next year but seriously i would want to be in one of their loops! Fish station is always being cleaned and very quiet at night with lovely breezes and stargazing! Highly recommend!
