The reviews mention "shade trees" and a "peaceful ambience," suggesting a setting where campers can relax and enjoy a quiet environment. The description of the sites being "largely free of unsightly clutter" implies an organized and visually appealing space, contributing to the overall peaceful atmosphere.
The services at Thomassen Family Campground appear to be well-suited for RV travelers. A key feature highlighted in the reviews is the availability of "full hookup" sites. The reviews also note that the sites are "spacious," offering ample room for maneuvering and setting up camp without feeling cramped. The campground, despite being on a "small plot of land" with around eight sites in total, apparently offers "plenty of room to turn," which is crucial for larger RVs. The fact that the sites are "well kept" reinforces the impression of a meticulously maintained campground where attention is paid to detail.
The small size of Thomassen Family Campground could be considered a feature in itself for those seeking a quieter and more intimate camping experience compared to larger, more crowded campgrounds. Thomassen Family Campground Reviews
Stayed here for one night passing through. Great experience ! It was $50/nt for full hookup on a nice level gravel plot. Tammy owner was really friendly and accommodating when we booked last minute, came out to meet us and help us get settled when we got there. There are about 8 sites total, small plot of land but plenty of room to turn and spacious sites. Sites are well kept. Nice place to stay

Mar 31, 2024 · mark johnsonAwesome campground. Nothing fancy, close to town yet very quiet. Shady and easy to get into the campsites. Rates are more than reasonable. Owners areincredibly nice people who know the area well and are very willing to share the good local spots. Would certainly stay there again. Don't hesitate to give it a try.
Jul 27, 2021 · Woody WoodSmall, family-owned campground primarily for seasonal and/or long-term campers. We were fortunate to get a space overnight while visiting family in the area. Ms. Thomassen is very nice and the campground was very quiet, even on a Saturday.
Oct 04, 2021 · Linda WardThe best campground of the 12+ my family has stayed at in the past year! Bill and Tammy are involved owners/hosts and take pride in their campground. The setting is idyllic and the vibe is relaxed. Family friendly.
