Thousand Trails Paradise Introduce
For local users in the United States searching for 'camping near me' that caters to families and offers a range of activities, Thousand Trails Paradise, located at 173 Salem Plant Rd, Silver Creek, WA 98585, USA, presents itself as a potential option. You can reach them at (360) 985-2121 or +1 360-985-2121 for inquiries. This campground is situated in Silver Creek, Washington, and based on initial positive feedback, it seems to offer a variety of amenities and a beautiful natural setting, particularly appealing to families with children.
A Family-Friendly Environment with Recreational Activities
One positive review highlights Thousand Trails Paradise as a "great place for families to camp!" The reviewer specifically mentioned a positive experience with tent camping alongside friends and their children, emphasizing the availability of "a lot of things for kids to do." These activities include fishing, basketball courts, and a playground, suggesting that the campground is equipped to keep children entertained. Additionally, the presence of a pool (though noted as not open for the season at the time of the review) indicates a potential amenity for summer enjoyment. The campground also boasts a "great trail to walk" and a dog park, catering to both nature enthusiasts and pet owners. The presence of a "beautiful lake" further enhances the natural appeal of the location, likely offering opportunities for scenic views and possibly additional water-based activities.
Potential Concerns Regarding Maintenance and Atmosphere
In contrast to the positive feedback, another recent review paints a less favorable picture of Thousand Trails Paradise. This reviewer described their stay as "not a great stay," citing several issues related to the campground's condition and atmosphere. They mentioned a feeling of the place being "messy" and noted that the store had a very limited selection ("only a few items"). Furthermore, the hot tub was reported as closed, and the grass was described as "not maintained." This suggests potential issues with the upkeep and management of the campground's facilities and grounds.
The same negative review also raised concerns about the presence of "squatters," which significantly detracted from the reviewer's experience. They described the campground as having a number of long-term residents, one family in particular consisting of two adults and three children who were reportedly very disruptive, with the adults fighting constantly, even throughout the night and early morning, and yelling at their children non-stop. This behavior created a non-relaxing environment, leading the reviewer to leave early, as they were seeking a peaceful getaway.
The reviewer also expressed a sentiment that the campground "looks like it was probably a beautiful resort 20 years ago and someone just let it go," suggesting a potential decline in the quality and maintenance of the property over time. This perspective raises concerns about the current state of Thousand Trails Paradise and whether it lives up to its name.
Limited Information on Specific Services and Features
Beyond the amenities mentioned in the reviews (fishing, basketball courts, playground, pool, walking trail, dog park, lake, store, hot tub), specific details about other services and features at Thousand Trails Paradise are limited. Typical campgrounds often offer amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and potentially RV hookups (water, electricity, sewer). While the reviews mention a store (albeit with limited items) and a hot tub (closed), they do not provide information about the availability or condition of other standard campground services. Local users considering this location for 'camping near me' might need to inquire directly about the availability of these essential services based on their needs.
The discrepancy between the two reviews highlights the importance of considering both positive and negative feedback when evaluating a campground. While the family-friendly amenities mentioned in the first review could be a significant draw for some, the concerns raised in the second review about maintenance, store offerings, the closure of the hot tub, and the disruptive presence of some long-term residents are serious points of consideration.

Conclusion: A Campground with Potential but Mixed Reviews
Thousand Trails Paradise offers a location in Silver Creek, WA, that could be appealing for local users seeking a 'camping near me' destination with family-oriented amenities and access to a lake. The positive review highlights the activities available for children and the beauty of the lake and surrounding trails. However, the negative review raises significant concerns regarding the campground's maintenance, the limited offerings of the store, the closure of the hot tub, and the disruptive presence of some long-term residents, which detracted significantly from one visitor's experience. Potential guests should carefully consider these contrasting perspectives and are strongly encouraged to seek more current information from the campground directly or from recent online reviews to form a well-informed decision about whether Thousand Trails Paradise meets their expectations for a relaxing and enjoyable camping trip. The potential for a family-friendly experience exists, but awareness of the reported issues is crucial.

Thousand Trails Paradise Reviews
Great place for families to camp! We did tent camping with some friends and their children. A lot of things for kids to do. Fishing, basketball courts, playground. There is a pool but it was not open for the season yet. Great trail to walk and dog park. Beautiful lake! Would recommend and hope to go back!
Apr 29, 2025 · Candice GarmanNot a great stay. It would have been a comfortable stay except for all the squatters. The place was messy, the store had only a few items, the hot tub was closed, the grass was not maintained. It looks like it was probably a beautiful resort 20 years ago and someone just let it go. We ended up leaving early. The squatters next to us were a family… 2 adults, 3 children. The adults fought the entire time we were there, even through the night and early morning as well as yelling at their kids non stop. It was not relaxing. Relaxing is what we were looking for.
Aug 20, 2024 · Clinton GorbettThis place is isolated and quiet beautiful. I often see deer here. The staff are kind and helpful. The pools are well kept and so are the facilities. On a holiday weekend it will definitely be packed. My kids love this place.
Aug 04, 2024 · Miesha FierroThe Part of campground down steep hill from water tower.Spaces too small for today's size RV retailer leaving no place to park,Or walk out of RV without being on a slop (slippery when wet). It would be nice if they could combine spaces and level..... this side only at best a 4th full and the longest site a occurred be full time residents. The only bathroom on this side half closed
Aug 31, 2024 · debbie dewittBig RV park located about 1 hour away from the Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. Mostly pull through spots some with full hookups. Some shade some in the sun, you can really choose what you like here. Plenty of walking trails, pool, dog park, playground and many more activities available. The park is great for stargazing. Our spot was long , kind of leveled we had full hookups and good Verizon and T mobile services. Roads in the park are gravel or dirt, mostly leveled but narrow.
