We chose Toketee as our base camp while exploring the regions waterfalls and visiting Crater Lake. It was well worth it, and I hope to return again some day. Toketee is an expansive area - a perfect gateway/introduction to OR wilderness, a very well managed and kept campground with sites situated along an accessible creek, hiking trails through out were well established and maintained especially those to the magnificent falls. The only downside to the visit was probably seasonal travel related. We had planned to visit Umpqua hot springs, but each day there seemed to be a large group of people in all manner of RVs - makeshift caravans to massive mobile homes and (Might be more accessible during the off-season... we visited in August 2018). The parking lot at the trail head was a bit undersized for the number of vehicles trying to park, as well as to make their way in and out. Then again, it was probably more than adequate for the number of occupants that should be allowed up top at the hot springs. We took this as a sign of an over crowded anthill of sorts, and opted to take a pass. I hope that our next visit will allow for some relaxing time spent in the hot springs. The lake was easily accessible with an ADA dock. A well staffed Ranger Station and visitors center was also nearby and accessible. - Michael Rudis

The campground itself is "very well managed and kept," suggesting a clean and organized camping experience. A significant environmental feature is the accessible creek that runs alongside the campsites, providing a soothing natural ambiance and potentially opportunities for gentle exploration. While specific details about campsite amenities (such as fire rings, picnic tables, or hookups) are not explicitly mentioned in the reviews, the description of a "well managed and kept campground" implies that basic and necessary services are likely provided. However, one reviewer advises trying to "pick sites well away from the bathrooms," suggesting that bathroom proximity might be a consideration for some campers regarding noise or traffic.

The features of Toketee Lake Group Site are numerous and appealing. The ADA dock at Toketee Lake ensures accessibility for all visitors to enjoy the lake. The nearby well-staffed Ranger Station and visitors center provide valuable resources and assistance. However, one potential drawback mentioned is the seasonal crowding at nearby Umpqua Hot Springs, particularly during peak season (August as per the review), which might lead to parking issues at the trailhead.
