Trask River RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Tillamook, Oregon area searching for exceptional "camping near me" experiences, Trask River RV Park, located at 26905 Trask River Rd, Tillamook, OR 97141, emerges as a highly promising and somewhat secretive destination, according to enthusiastic customer reviews. This RV park appears to offer a unique blend of tranquil riverside stays, modern amenities, and unparalleled access to a vast network of wilderness trails, making it a haven for a variety of outdoor enthusiasts.
One of the initial impressions conveyed by reviewers is the peaceful and scenic environment of Trask River RV Park. One visitor, surprised by the lack of extensive reviews, described their mid-week stay as "a nice quiet stay with gorgeous views of the river behind our rv." This suggests a serene setting where the natural beauty of the Trask River plays a central role in the camping experience. The fact that they "basically had the place to ourselves" during the week hints at a potentially less crowded atmosphere compared to more widely known campgrounds, offering a greater sense of tranquility and privacy.
The park's layout seems to cater to both short-term visitors and long-term residents, with one reviewer noting that there are "long stay residents on one end of the park but they don't interfere with the overnighter like you see in so many other parks." This thoughtful arrangement ensures a comfortable experience for all guests, avoiding the potential disruptions that can sometimes arise in parks with a significant long-term population. The reviewer's confident statement, "We wouldn't hesitate to stay again," speaks volumes about their positive experience.
Another reviewer aptly describes Trask River RV Park as a "Hidden little gem deep in the mountains." This evocative description paints a picture of a secluded retreat, tucked away in a mountainous region, offering a sense of escape and immersion in nature. The mention of "5 newer cabins" provides an alternative to RV camping, suggesting well-maintained and modern lodging options for those who prefer a more structured accommodation. Furthermore, the availability of "several full hookup RV sites right next to the river" caters directly to RV travelers seeking convenience and prime waterfront locations.
The amenities at Trask River RV Park appear to be well-considered for guest comfort. The presence of "Full showers" is a significant convenience, especially for those engaging in outdoor activities. The "large gazebo ready for barbecuing" offers a communal space for outdoor cooking and socializing, enhancing the social aspect of camping. Perhaps one of the most exciting recent additions is the "New store/restaurant that serves breakfast/lunch/and dinner with home style cooking." This on-site dining option adds a significant layer of convenience, allowing guests to enjoy delicious meals without having to leave the park. The reviewer's assurance that "You won't leave still hungry" suggests generous portions and satisfying home-style fare.
Beyond the immediate amenities of the RV park, the surrounding environment offers a plethora of opportunities for outdoor adventure. One reviewer enthusiastically mentions "Almost endless trails that welcome dirt bikes, ATVs, mountain biking, or just a long, nice drive in your 4x4." This highlights the park's strategic location as a gateway to an extensive trail system catering to off-road vehicle enthusiasts, mountain bikers, and those who enjoy scenic drives in their four-wheel-drive vehicles. The promise of "spectacular views" further enhances the appeal of exploring these trails.
The area surrounding Trask River RV Park is described as "the locals' secret area for all wilderness activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, riding, and exploring." This insider information suggests a pristine and less crowded natural environment compared to more mainstream tourist destinations. For local users seeking authentic Oregon wilderness experiences, this RV park appears to be an ideal basecamp for a wide range of outdoor pursuits.
One particularly insightful review offers a glimpse into the unique character of the area, stating, "If you want to explore Oregon as it used to be 30+ years ago, that tradition is maintained here by the locals. Big city rules don't apply here. Chill, enjoy the overwhelming natural atmosphere while staying in a modern RV Park." This paints a picture of a region that has retained its natural charm and a more relaxed, traditional way of life. The juxtaposition of a "modern RV Park" within this environment offers the comfort and convenience of contemporary amenities while still allowing guests to immerse themselves in a more untouched natural setting.
The final, almost reluctant, endorsement from one reviewer – "P.s. I almost didn't want to share this. 😉" – speaks volumes about the special and cherished nature of Trask River RV Park. It suggests that those who have discovered this "hidden gem" are keen to keep it somewhat of a secret, implying a truly exceptional experience.
Considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews and the diverse range of amenities and activities offered, Trask River RV Park presents an exceptional opportunity for local users seeking "camping near me" that goes beyond a typical campground experience. Whether you are an RV enthusiast looking for a quiet riverside spot with full hookups, someone interested in renting a modern cabin in a secluded mountain setting, or an outdoor adventurer eager to explore endless trails for OHVs, mountain biking, hiking, or simply scenic drives, this RV park appears to cater to a wide range of interests.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the reviews, the consistent praise for the park and its offerings suggests a strong value proposition. Local users are encouraged to contact Trask River RV Park directly to inquire about current rates for RV sites and cabin rentals, seasonal availability, and any special offers that might be available. Trask River RV Park Reviews
I don't know why this CG doesn't have many reviews. It was a nice quiet stay with gorgeous views of the river behind our rv. We stayed in the middle of the week and basically had the place to ourselves. It is a CG with long stay residents on one end of the park but they don't interfere with the overnighter like you see in so many other parks. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Jan 12, 2025 · Founder of CoreismI scouted out the campground this weekend for a trip later this summer. I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and well planned out it is. Very nice cabins, restrooms, a great grocery store/deli, and amazing views of the Trask River. I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay!
