Wonderfield Farm & Retreat Reviews
My fiance booked us two tents at Wonderfield Farm and Retreat for my 30th Birthday with our best friends, it was FREEZING that weekend, but they had the best heaters in those tents! The farm land and the animals are beautiful, it was a wonderful way to take me out of my normal stressful routines and put me into complete relaxation. The owners and their family were very kind, and you can tell the land is lived on and cultivated with love. If you are a fan of eco-tourism or agro-tourism you HAVE to try this place out!

Dec 26, 2023 · Hannah GreenWonderfield Farm was a cherry on top of our week long trip to Florida. We were tired of the hustle and bustle of Orlando and the quietness and serenity of the farm was exactly what we needed.Tara was very welcoming and responded promptly to our questions on Hipcamp chat. She doesn’t stay on the farm full time, but we met some of the other people who work there tending to the animals and taking care of the garden. The house was spacious with a large living room, a bedroom with two comfy queen size beds and a shower. There is an additional bathroom with the Tun next to the kitchen. The kitchen was my favorite place! Bright, newly renovated, with quality appliances and kitchenware and a cool bar we used for eating breakfast and writing. There are also two screen patios: one with a large dining table and a grill and another with a sofa and a fire pit.We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the roosters. Our daughter was thrilled to meet the chickens, the ducks, the piglets and of cause the cows. It was super fun to fed them oranges! We walked through the garden, took the nature walk through the property and picked oranges from the trees and from the ground. What a neat experience! The farm is very authentic and is surrounded by a creek and marshes. We didn’t see any snakes or gators, but quite a few lizards, frogs and furry caterpillars. We hardly saw anyone around apart from a couple of people in the morning, so it felt very private. There were other guests on the cottage but it was all very quiet. The farm is a short drive from Rainbow Springs (we did glass bottom kayaking in KP park, swam in the turquoise water and walked to the waterfalls in Rainbow Springs). Crystal River and three sisters stream are about 30 min away as well.Tara had provided plenty of information (in the chat and the booklet at the house) about places to explore in the area, dining etc, so it was easy to navigateI wish we could have stayed longer!
Mar 25, 2022 · GavaTea Nilgiris teaHad an amazing time with the family. We enjoyed the trails, animals, and wonderful views of stars and sunrise.
Jan 05, 2025 · OliverPriceless. I will not be able to explain the experience via text; however, my son said, "Daddy, can we come here the next time I am with you? This place is awesome." We were greeted by the pigs/boars and cows. I took video of the cows coming up to us when we first arrived and our dog kissing through the fence. The permaculture and natural landscape is right up my alley. This was something my son will have lifelong memories of and look forward to returning.
