Yore Place Introduce
Looking for a local camping option in the Lawrence, Michigan area? Yore Place, situated at 59381 44th Ave, Lawrence, MI 49064, USA, offers a campground experience that has garnered mixed feedback from recent visitors. With contact numbers (269) 427-7908 and +1 269-427-7908 available for inquiries, Yore Place presents itself as a potential destination for those searching for 'camping near me' with a focus on family-friendliness and some recreational opportunities.
One positive review describes Yore Place as "a good place to pop up a tent," indicating its suitability for tent campers. The reviewer also mentioned that their children enjoyed the experience, highlighting its appeal to families. A significant positive aspect noted was the presence of trails, which enhanced their overall experience. This suggests that Yore Place offers opportunities for hiking or nature walks, which can be a major draw for outdoor enthusiasts. The reviewer also expressed interest in bringing a boat in the future, noting a "nice pond for recreational use," implying that the pond is suitable for boating activities in addition to other forms of recreation.
Overall, this reviewer found their experience to be good and indicated their intention to return soon. This positive feedback suggests that Yore Place has the potential to provide an enjoyable camping experience, particularly for tent campers and families who appreciate trails and a recreational pond.
However, another recent review presents a more critical perspective, highlighting potential issues with the campground's upkeep and amenities. This reviewer rented a camper that was located on a permanent lot and reported a sewage odor when the toilet was flushed, which is a significant concern regarding the maintenance and sanitation of the rental units. Additionally, the reviewer noted that the pool was green, indicating a potential lack of proper pool maintenance, which could deter visitors hoping to use this amenity.
Furthermore, this reviewer stated that the "game room" was not accessible, which is a disappointment for families or individuals looking for indoor recreational options, especially during inclement weather. While acknowledging that Yore Place is a "family friendly campground," the reviewer recommended that those planning to camp there bring their own camper or tent, implying potential dissatisfaction with the condition or quality of the rental units available.
The concluding remark of this review, "Just seemed like it needed better upkeep," suggests that while the campground might have potential, its current state of maintenance could be a significant drawback for some visitors. This mixed feedback indicates that while some aspects of Yore Place, such as the trails and pond, are appealing, other areas, particularly the upkeep of rental units and amenities like the pool and game room, may need improvement.
Considering these reviews, the environment of Yore Place appears to include a pond suitable for recreational use (potentially boating, fishing, or swimming, although this is not explicitly detailed) and trails that offer opportunities for hiking and exploring. The presence of permanent camper lots suggests that the campground caters to both short-term visitors and potentially seasonal or long-term residents. The overall natural setting is not extensively described, but the mention of a pond and trails implies some level of natural appeal.
In terms of services, Yore Place offers the rental of campers on permanent lots, although the reported issue with sewage odor in one rental unit is a significant concern. The availability of a pool is mentioned, but its condition ("green") raises questions about its usability and maintenance. A game room is also listed as a feature, but its inaccessibility is another point of concern. The positive review suggests the availability of tent sites. Contacting Yore Place directly would be necessary to confirm the full range of services offered, such as water and electrical hookups for RVs, restroom and shower facilities (the reviews do not explicitly mention these for tent campers), and any other amenities provided.
The features of Yore Place include a pond for recreational activities (the specific activities are not detailed), trails for hiking or nature walks, a pool (though its condition is questionable), and a game room (which was reportedly inaccessible). The family-friendly nature of the campground is mentioned by both reviewers, suggesting that it aims to cater to families with children. The availability of both tent sites and permanent camper lots is another feature to consider.
Promotional information is not provided in the customer reviews. Local users interested in rates for tent sites or RV spots, the cost of renting a camper, or any seasonal discounts or special offers should contact Yore Place directly using the provided phone numbers. It would also be prudent to inquire about the current condition and accessibility of the pool and game room, as well as the maintenance of the rental units.
For local users searching for 'camping near me', Yore Place offers a location in Lawrence, MI, with a pond and trails that have been positively received. However, the negative feedback regarding the upkeep of rental units and the condition/accessibility of the pool and game room should be taken into consideration. Tent campers might find the basic facilities adequate, especially if they prioritize the natural aspects like the pond and trails. RV owners with their own self-contained units might be less affected by the reported issues with rental campers and the pool/game room.
In conclusion, Yore Place in Lawrence, MI, presents a mixed picture based on recent reviews. While it offers a family-friendly environment with appealing features like a recreational pond and trails, there are concerns about the upkeep of rental units and the condition/accessibility of certain amenities like the pool and game room. Local users considering Yore Place for their 'camping near me' experience should weigh these factors and contact the campground directly to obtain current information on services, amenities, and rates to ensure it meets their specific needs and expectations.

Yore Place Reviews
In a few words. This was a good place to pop up a tent, the kids enjoyed it. The trails made it a better experience for us. Next time I would like to bring a boat. They have nice pond for recreational use. Overall it was good experience I'll be back soon.
Sep 08, 2020 · Rene Sanchez-saucedoRented a camper here that is on a permanent lot. Smelled like sewage when the toilet was flushed. Pool was green. Their 'game room' was not accessible. It's a family friendly campground but if you're going to camp here i recommend your own camper/tent. Just seemed like it needed better upkeep.
Aug 04, 2015 · Andrew KellyCouldn't tell ya if this place is still open since rumors going around that it was closing soon but when we have been there it was amazing. They have a great hall where people hold birthday parties or weddings. Off the road quiet place.
