Atlanta Marietta RV Park Introduce
If you're a local user in the Marietta, Georgia area searching for "RV parks near me," Atlanta Marietta RV Park, located at 1031 Wylie Rd, Marietta, GA 30067, USA, is one option you might encounter. They can be reached by phone at (770) 427-6853 or their mobile number +1 770-427-6853 for inquiries and reservations. However, it's crucial to approach this park with caution and a thorough understanding of recent customer experiences, as indicated by online reviews.
The following information aims to provide an objective introduction to Atlanta Marietta RV Park based solely on the feedback available from recent customers online. It's important to note that these are individual experiences and may not reflect the views of all visitors. Nonetheless, they offer valuable insights for prospective guests.
Environment and Site Conditions:
Multiple reviewers describe the physical condition of the RV sites as significantly below expectations. One reviewer explicitly states, "Sites are broken concrete & asphalt in very bad shape." This suggests that the parking areas for RVs may be uneven, damaged, and potentially difficult to navigate. Such conditions can impact the stability and setup of your RV, as well as the overall aesthetic appeal of your site.
Another significant concern raised is the limited space and cramped layout of the park. A reviewer mentioned that the sites are "crammed in on top of each other," leading to difficulties in maneuvering and utilizing the available space. They specifically noted being "unable to back all the way into our site" due to the proximity of the RV behind them and that it was barely possible to "open your slides." This lack of space can severely impact the comfort and functionality of your RV setup, potentially restricting access and outdoor living areas.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Cleanliness appears to be a major issue reported by recent visitors. One reviewer detailed finding "a giant pile of dog poop on our site" upon arrival. Furthermore, they chose not to use the sewer hookup due to the presence of "dried up toilet paper & human feces on the ground." These observations paint a concerning picture regarding the park's maintenance and sanitation practices. The presence of pet waste and improperly managed sewage areas can create an unsanitary and unpleasant environment for all guests.
The issue of dog waste extends beyond individual sites, with a reviewer also noting "Dog poop everywhere around our site when we arrived and in the dog park." While the presence of a dog park is mentioned as a positive feature ("The dog park was very nice"), the lack of cleanliness within this area detracts significantly from its usability and overall appeal to pet owners.
Services and Features (Based on Limited Information):
The reviews provide limited information about the specific services and features offered by Atlanta Marietta RV Park. However, one positive aspect mentioned is that they "had water & power," indicating the availability of basic utility hookups, which are essential for RV stays.
The presence of a "very nice" dog park is also highlighted as a feature, which would be attractive to travelers with pets. However, as mentioned previously, the cleanliness within the dog park seems to be a significant concern.
The negative feedback regarding the sewer hookup suggests its availability but raises serious doubts about its proper maintenance and sanitation.
Customer Experience and Management:
The overall customer experience, as reflected in the provided reviews, is overwhelmingly negative. One reviewer explicitly states, "Definitely not a resort!" directly contradicting any potential marketing that might portray the park as a high-end destination. This sentiment is echoed by the strong recommendation: "DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!"
A particularly concerning aspect raised by one reviewer is the presence of a "creepy worker that likes to look in windows." Such behavior is a serious breach of privacy and can create an uncomfortable and unsafe environment for guests. This allegation should be a significant consideration for anyone contemplating a stay at this park.
Furthermore, the reviewer who chose to leave early due to the negative experiences reported that the park "Would not refund." This lack of flexibility and unwillingness to address significant issues further contributes to a negative perception of the park's management and customer service.
Promotional Information and Recommendations for Local Users:
Based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent customers, it is difficult to identify any compelling promotional aspects of Atlanta Marietta RV Park. The reviews highlight significant concerns regarding site conditions, cleanliness, maintenance, and even safety/privacy. Therefore, for local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Marietta, it is strongly recommended to exercise extreme caution and consider alternative options.
If you are still considering Atlanta Marietta RV Park, it is absolutely crucial to:
- Contact the park management directly at (770) 427-6853 or +1 770-427-6853. Inquire specifically about the current condition of the RV sites, the cleanliness of the park (including the dog park and sewer hookups), and the park's policies regarding staff conduct and guest privacy.
- Ask detailed questions about site sizes and spacing to ensure your RV can be comfortably accommodated with sufficient room for slide-outs and maneuvering.
- Inquire about their refund policy, especially in cases of unsatisfactory conditions or early departure due to safety or comfort concerns.
- Seek out more recent reviews on multiple platforms (e.g., Google Reviews, Yelp, RV-specific forums) to get a broader and more up-to-date understanding of current guest experiences. Be wary of relying solely on the information provided here, as it is limited to the two available reviews.
- Consider visiting the park in person before making a reservation, if possible. This would allow you to assess the site conditions, cleanliness, and overall environment firsthand.
Given the serious concerns raised by recent reviewers, local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Marietta are strongly advised to prioritize parks with consistently positive feedback regarding cleanliness, site conditions, safety, and customer service. The negative experiences reported at Atlanta Marietta RV Park suggest that it may not provide a satisfactory or comfortable stay for many RV travelers.
In conclusion, while Atlanta Marietta RV Park is geographically located within the Marietta area, the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture of its environment, maintenance, and management. Local users seeking "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh these negative experiences and consider thoroughly investigating the park's current conditions and policies before making a reservation. Atlanta Marietta RV Park Reviews
We had water & power. The dog park was very nice, so why was there a giant pile of dog poop on our site. We chose not to use the sewer hookup due to dried up toilet paper & human feces on the ground. Sites are broken concrete & asphalt in very bad shape. They are crammed in on top of each other. We were unable to back all the way into our site, we would have hit the RV awning behind us.You can barely open your slides. Just look at my attached pictures and think twice.
Jul 11, 2024 · M TDefinitely not a resort! The pics online make it look better than it is. Dog poop everywhere around our site when we arrived and in the dog park. Creepy worker that likes to look in windows. Decided to leave early because of this. Would not refund.DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!
Jan 28, 2025 · SammyWelcoming and very accommodating. At this time of year, it might be easier to just drive in and get a spot for a 35 foot motorhome pulling a van behind it. We took her chances and it worked out fine. The price was very reasonable very wood, as if you were in a little remote area all on its own next to a bigger part of the city. They also have a dog park which our dog enjoyed they also gave us each a complimentary soda. Little things mean a lot. They also they have laundry and showers available. Very nice.
Dec 17, 2024 · Nancy BeDan NelsonMy husband and I were looking forward to staying at this park but he was hospitalized and then we had to wait for test results and a treatment plan for cancer. I called to cancel and they charged us $100. No exception and no compassion. With KOA we have no cancellations fees. Good Sam is disappointing.
Mar 20, 2025 · Dianne GarveyDefinitely not a resort, so many RV parks are using the word “resort” and apparently have no clue what that word means, this place looks like it was once an old mobile home park and they have converted it to rv’s. There are a few trailers in there that look like they came out of the movie deliverance, here’s a tip, when your customers rv has weeds growing out the top of their RV it may be time for them to go. Spaces are tight, all back-ins, no pull throughs since it was designed to be a mobile home park many, many decades ago. When you go in the office there was only one lady sitting in the back corner with all the lights off, something about this place gave us the creeps. Way too many full time campers with broken down RV’s. The camper next to us was staying in a servic van and they were trying to install a sewer P-Trap so they could hook up their toilet to their sewer so we were blessed with that oder for half a day. WiFi was horrible, good enough to send an email but forget out streaming any movies. I would avoid this place in the future!
