Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage Introduce
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in the Needville, Texas area, Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage, located at 6346 Beard Rd, Needville, TX 77461, USA, presents a mixed profile based on recent customer feedback. While some reviewers highlight positive interactions with the owner and the park's unique recreational aspects, a significant and concerning review raises serious allegations regarding security and subsequent interactions with the owner.
On the positive side, one reviewer recounts a welcoming greeting from the owner at the gate, who wished them safety and fun. This suggests a potentially friendly and hospitable initial interaction. The same reviewer notes the presence of "several picnic tables," indicating a basic amenity for outdoor enjoyment. This individual also clarifies that the park is "not about trails" in the traditional hiking sense but rather geared towards "ridding, getting your 4X4 dirty and not worrying about getting stuck too bad." This positions Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage as a unique destination for off-road vehicle enthusiasts looking for a place to have adventurous fun without venturing too far.
Another positive anecdote describes the owner's helpfulness in assisting with a vehicle stuck in a "soft mushy spot." The reviewer praises the owner's promptness in providing his equipment to lend a hand, highlighting a willingness to go above and beyond to assist guests. This further supports the idea of an owner who can be helpful and engaged with visitors. This reviewer concludes by recommending the park to those seeking a fun afternoon without a long drive.
However, a starkly contrasting and highly concerning review details a profoundly negative experience involving the storage aspect of Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage and subsequent interactions with the owner, Mike Cole. This reviewer begins with a "BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE" warning, immediately signaling a severe issue. They recount an agreement to rent storage space, attracted by the owner's claim of "security day & night on the property." Following this agreement, the reviewer parked a van and later two trailers with cars on them at the location.
Disturbingly, the reviewer noticed an open door on their van on multiple occasions. The situation escalated when, upon bringing their boat to the property, they discovered items missing from their Mercedes, which was on one of the trailers. These missing items included car keys, tools, and the hood emblem. Further inspection revealed that the car's radio was missing, the glove box was open, and papers were scattered inside. The reviewer also noted signs of tampering in their Corvette, which was on another trailer. Upon checking the van, they found the door open again and items from inside the van on the ground outside.
The reviewer promptly contacted the owner, Mike Cole, who came to assess the situation. According to the review, Mike Cole contacted his staff to inquire how such theft could occur on a supposedly secure property. Shockingly, the reviewer claims that after a brief walk to the fence line with one of his staff, Mike Cole returned and suggested that the reviewer had likely caused the damage and theft to their own vehicles. This response is highly dismissive and casts serious doubt on the owner's accountability and the security measures in place.
The situation further deteriorated when the reviewer chose not to proceed with renting the storage space due to the theft. In response, the reviewer alleges that Mike Cole began "bullying" them by demanding the immediate removal of their belongings from the property by the following Monday or payment of rent. This alleged behavior is unprofessional and retaliatory, further damaging the reputation of Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage.
The reviewer concludes with a strong warning, reiterating "BEWARE enough people," emphasizing the significant security breach that occurred within 24 hours of their vehicles being on the property and the owner's subsequent handling of the situation.
Given these drastically different accounts, local users considering Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage for either RV stays or storage will need to carefully weigh the potential for off-road fun and helpfulness from the owner against the serious allegations of security negligence and unprofessional behavior in the storage context. The positive reviews highlight a unique recreational offering and a potentially helpful owner in certain situations. However, the detailed account of theft and the owner's alleged response raises significant red flags regarding the security of the property and the owner's conduct when issues arise.
Information regarding standard RV park amenities such as hookups, restrooms, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi is not provided in these reviews. The focus is primarily on the off-road recreational aspect and the security/storage experience. Therefore, local users seeking typical RV park features will need to contact Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage directly at (713) 232-0296 or +1 713-232-0296 to inquire about these services.
Similarly, no promotional information is included in the reviews. Those interested in potential RV site rates, storage unit costs, or any special offers will need to contact the park management directly.
In conclusion, Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage offers a unique appeal for local off-road vehicle enthusiasts seeking a nearby adventure. The owner has been described as helpful in certain situations. However, the serious allegations of theft from stored vehicles and the subsequent unprofessional behavior attributed to the owner present significant concerns, particularly for those considering storage options but potentially also for RVers concerned about the overall security and management of the property. Local users are strongly advised to carefully consider all available feedback, especially the security concerns, and to conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the owner, before making a decision to stay or store their belongings at Brazos Bend RV Park & Storage.

Dec 29, 2020 · Nano MocBEWARE BEWARE BEWAREI was about to rent some storage space from this place and I loved the way the guy say he had security day & night on the property. On 04/24 I parked z van there upon making the agreement with the owner Mike Cole. On 04/28 I brought 2 trailers both had cars on them but I did notice that a door on the van was open, I paid it no mind and closed it and parked the trailer next to the van. I parked the last trailer around 10pm and on 04/29 I bring my boat and upon pulling into the property I noticed the van door was open again. I pulled in to park only to notice some items on the hood of my Mercedes which was the 3 keys to the cars that was on the floor inside of the car, some tools, & my hood emblem that had been removed from the hood. I looked inside the car to notice the radio was missing glove box open. Papers everywhere and I looked in my corvette and notice someone had been rambling in it too. Then I get to the van yes the door is open again but things from inside the van are outside on the ground. I called the owner Mike Cole who came back to see the situation and he called his guys to see how this could happen on a property where no one stoles anything. He walked to the fence line with one of his guys and come back saying I probably did this to my own car.Mike Cole you can't tell anyone or anyone else that no one steals from your property because my cars were there less than 24 hour and they had already started stripping them.Because I chose to not rent from there the owner Mike Cole started bullying me by telling me I have to have all my things off his property by this coming Monday or I need to pay him rent.I can't stress BEWARE enough people.
