Brooks RV Park - Long and Short Term! Call us! Introduce
Searching for "RV parks near me" in the Louisville, Kentucky vicinity that accommodate both long and short-term stays? Look no further than Brooks RV Park, located at 205 Sarver Ln #14, Brooks, KY 40109, USA. As the name suggests, Brooks RV Park caters to a variety of travelers, from those needing a quick overnight stop to individuals requiring accommodation for several months. The park explicitly encourages inquiries by stating "Long and Short Term! Call us!" and provides contact numbers: (502) 276-6090 and +1 502-276-6090.
Based on the available customer reviews, Brooks RV Park appears to offer a strategically advantageous location for those visiting or working in the Louisville metropolitan area. One reviewer specifically mentioned that it was the "closest place to downtown Louisville" where they could reserve a 3-month stay on short notice. They reported a reasonable commute time, leaving downtown Louisville around 4:45 PM after work and returning to their camper by approximately 6:00 PM. This suggests that while not directly in the city center, Brooks RV Park provides a viable option for those needing access to downtown while preferring a quieter, campground setting.
This initial reviewer also noted the peaceful environment of the park, stating, "it's quiet." They also observed that despite the campground appearing to be "nearly full," they had rarely encountered other people during their first three nights. This could indicate well-spaced sites or a generally respectful and private atmosphere among the campers.
Another reviewer, who was on their second stay at Brooks RV Park, further emphasized the convenient location. They highlighted its proximity to Interstate 65, being about 18 minutes from the Louisville International Airport (SDF), approximately 30 minutes from downtown Louisville, and around 10 minutes north of Shepherdsville. This central positioning offers easy access to various points of interest and transportation hubs in the region, making it a practical choice for travelers with diverse itineraries.
This returning guest also praised the "Quality folks here" and specifically commended the manager, Annie, as "the BEST!" This positive feedback about the community and management suggests a welcoming and well-run environment, which can significantly enhance the overall camping experience.
Regarding services and features, this second reviewer mentioned the availability of "Laundry facilities on sight," which is a crucial amenity for both short and long-term RV stays. However, they also explicitly noted the absence of "community bathroom or shower," stating, "so if you’re looking for that this is not your place." This is a critical piece of information for potential guests who rely on communal facilities rather than having their own restrooms and showers within their RVs.
The reviewer also addressed potential environmental factors, mentioning "some train noise and airport noise." Given the park's proximity to the airport and major transportation routes, this is a common trade-off for convenient access. However, the reviewer concluded that "the location can’t be beat" and indicated their intention to stay again, as it "fits all my needs." This suggests that for many, the advantages of the location outweigh the potential noise factors.
A brief third review simply states that Brooks RV Park is "CLEAN and safe and just nice folks!" This concise feedback reinforces the positive aspects mentioned by the other reviewers, highlighting the cleanliness of the park, the sense of safety, and the friendly atmosphere among the residents.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Brooks RV Park appears to be generally quiet and clean, fostering a sense of privacy among guests. The location is a significant asset, providing easy access to downtown Louisville, the airport, and surrounding areas via Interstate 65. While the proximity to transportation routes may result in some train and airport noise, many find the convenience to be well worth it. The presence of "quality folks" and a highly regarded manager, Annie, suggests a positive and well-managed community.
The key service mentioned is the availability of on-site laundry facilities, catering to the practical needs of both short and long-term RVers. However, it is crucial to note the absence of community bathrooms and showers, meaning guests must have these facilities within their own RV units.
Features that can be inferred include individual RV sites with necessary hookups (though the specific types, such as electrical amperage, water, and sewer, are not detailed in the reviews and should be confirmed by calling). The park's ability to accommodate a 3-month stay on short notice suggests that they have a reasonable number of sites and potentially cater to extended stays. The mention of a "nearly full" campground in a quiet setting could imply well-spaced sites, contributing to the sense of privacy.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the park's name, "Brooks RV Park - Long and Short Term! Call us!," itself serves as a direct call to action and highlights their flexibility in accommodating various lengths of stay. To learn about specific rates, availability, and any current promotions for both short-term and long-term stays, interested individuals should contact the park directly at (502) 276-6090 or +1 502-276-6090.
In conclusion, Brooks RV Park appears to be a conveniently located option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Louisville, Kentucky area, offering both short and long-term stays. Its proximity to major transportation routes, downtown Louisville, and the airport makes it a practical choice for many travelers. The park is described as quiet, clean, and safe, with friendly residents and a highly regarded manager. While laundry facilities are available, potential guests should be aware that community bathrooms and showers are not provided. The possibility of some train and airport noise should also be considered. For detailed information on site availability, rates, hookup specifics, and any current promotions, calling Brooks RV Park at (502) 276-6090 or +1 502-276-6090 is highly recommended.

Brooks RV Park - Long and Short Term! Call us! Reviews
This was the closest place to downtown Lousiville that I could reserve a 3 month stay on short notice. I left the downtown YMCA at 4:45 after work and got back to my camper around 6. Only been there 3 nights so far, but it's quiet. I don't think I've seen another person but the campground is nearly full.
Mar 05, 2025 · Sean YThis is my second stay at Brooks. Great location just off the 65 about 18 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from Louisville, and about 10 minutes north of Sheperdsville. Quality folks here and manager Annie is the BEST! Laundry facilities on sight. No community bathroom or shower so if you’re looking for that this is not your place. There is some train noise and airport noise but the location can’t be beat. Will definitely be staying again since it fits all my needs.CLEAN and safe and just nice folks!
Oct 14, 2024 · Rachelle CrewsAnnie was so welcoming, met us as we pulled in. We had a pull through site that was very easy access. We stayed 3 nights, close to many fun activities such as Churchill Downs and Louisville Slugger Factory. I read the negative reviews due to trains and planes. Honestly they were no bother. We would definitely stay at Brooks again. Thank you Annie 🎉
Nov 07, 2024 · Mary AultAnnie, the assistant manager, was so sweet. She met us at the site number in the pouring rain to help us get parked correctly and 2 days later we ran out of coffee and she was so kind as to give us some from her supply.
Feb 08, 2025 · Dale BosleyThis place is phenomenal. The staff is kind, friendly and very knowledgeable . The park is quiet, very nice, and people staying there are nice. Would recommend this for a stay, passing through or extended. Had a great stay, huge thank you to Scott and Annie.
