Brushcreek Falls Resort

5127 Eads Mill Rd, Princeton, WV 24740, USA

4.0
We stayed here one night on our way to Savannah. The positive is it's easy to access from the expressway (though the road to get to it is very narrow and winding, with no shoulder). The negative is all of the expressway noise. You can see and hear the cars and semis fly by at all hours. I wear ear plugs to bed, but still the noise kept me awake. I would not call this a "resort". It has potential, but there is definitely room for improvement, such as doing some reno work on the bath house (at least the one my husband and I used). Also, the fish pond was a really gross shade of yellow-green! I would not want to fish in there! If it weren't for the expressway noise, I would have given it higher marks. - Donna W

Brushcreek Falls Resort Introduce

For individuals in Singapore exploring options under the category "RV Parks Near Me" for a potential stopover or extended stay in the Princeton, West Virginia area, or for those providing information to friends and family planning a trip through this region of the United States, Brushcreek Falls Resort, located at 5127 Eads Mill Rd, Princeton, WV 24740, USA, presents a location with both noted conveniences and potential drawbacks. Reachable at (304) 431-1950 or +1 304-431-1950, this establishment, while calling itself a "resort," has received mixed reviews regarding its environment and facilities.

One of the primary advantages highlighted in the customer feedback is its ease of access from the expressway. For travelers on a long journey, such as the reviewer en route to Savannah, this accessibility can be a significant benefit, providing a convenient overnight stop without requiring extensive detours. However, this ease of access comes with a caveat: the road leading to the resort itself is described as "very narrow and winding, with no shoulder." This could pose a challenge, particularly for larger RVs or those unfamiliar with navigating such roads. Prospective visitors should be aware of this road condition when planning their arrival.

A significant negative aspect mentioned in one review is the pervasive noise from the nearby expressway. The reviewer noted being able to "see and hear the cars and semis fly by at all hours," to the extent that even earplugs did not provide sufficient relief to ensure a good night's sleep. This level of noise pollution could be a major deterrent for those seeking a peaceful and quiet camping or RV experience. The constant presence of traffic sounds can detract from the natural ambiance one might expect at a campground or resort.

Furthermore, the same reviewer expressed skepticism about the "resort" designation, suggesting that there is "definitely room for improvement." Specific areas mentioned include the bathhouse, with the reviewer noting the need for "some reno work" on the one they used. The condition of shared facilities like bathhouses is often a critical factor for campground and RV park users, impacting their overall comfort and satisfaction. The observation that the fish pond had a "really gross shade of yellow-green" and was uninviting for fishing also raises concerns about the general maintenance and appeal of some of the recreational features.

Despite these criticisms, another reviewer had a highly positive experience, describing Brushcreek Falls Resort as "the absolute best campground" they had stayed at. This individual was there for work and stayed for five months, indicating that the resort can cater to longer-term stays as well. The positive feedback particularly emphasized the helpfulness of Tina and Cody, who were described as "very helpful throughout our stay" and "awesome!!!" This suggests that the management and staff are a significant asset to the resort, providing excellent customer service and support to their guests.

The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of considering individual priorities when evaluating Brushcreek Falls Resort. For those prioritizing ease of access from the expressway for a brief stopover, the location might be suitable, provided they are prepared for potential road noise and the condition of the facilities. However, for those seeking a tranquil retreat or expecting resort-level amenities, the noise and the mentioned need for renovations could be significant drawbacks.

Information regarding the environment of Brushcreek Falls Resort is somewhat contradictory. While the easy access to the expressway suggests a more developed or less isolated setting, the presence of a fish pond implies some natural features. The negative reviewer did concede that if it weren't for the expressway noise, they would have given the resort higher marks, suggesting that there might be other positive environmental aspects that are overshadowed by the noise issue. The positive reviewer's extended stay also implies a level of comfort and suitability for longer-term living, possibly due to other environmental or community aspects not detailed in the negative review.

Specific services and features of Brushcreek Falls Resort are not comprehensively detailed in the provided reviews. Based on general expectations for an RV park and campground, they likely offer:

  • RV Sites and/or Tent Camping Areas: The resort caters to both overnight travelers and longer-term guests, suggesting the availability of sites suitable for various types of accommodation.
  • Utility Hookups: For RV sites, these would typically include electricity, water, and possibly sewer connections. The type and availability of hookups are not specified.
  • Bathhouse Facilities: As mentioned in the negative review, a bathhouse is available, but its condition was a point of concern for that reviewer.
  • Fish Pond: A recreational feature that was noted to be in poor condition by one reviewer.
  • Management and Staff: The positive review highlights the helpfulness of Tina and Cody, indicating on-site management.

Other common amenities such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, recreational areas (beyond the fish pond), or specific details about the RV sites (size, levelness, shade) are not mentioned in the provided text. Similarly, there is no information regarding security measures or specific policies of the resort.

No promotional information, such as discounts for extended stays, seasonal rates, or special offers for new guests, is included in the provided reviews. Individuals interested in such information would need to contact Brushcreek Falls Resort directly.

For local users in Singapore seeking "RV Parks Near Me" for a trip to the Princeton, WV area, Brushcreek Falls Resort offers a location with convenient expressway access and notably helpful staff. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues with road noise, the condition of at least one of the bathhouses, and the state of the fish pond. The contrasting positive experience of a long-term guest suggests that the resort may offer other positive attributes not immediately apparent from the negative review. It would be advisable for prospective visitors to weigh the convenience of location and the positive feedback about the staff against the concerns raised about noise and facilities, and perhaps contact the resort directly for more detailed information and current conditions.

In conclusion, Brushcreek Falls Resort in Princeton, WV, presents a mixed picture based on the available reviews. Its easy access from the expressway and helpful management are definite positives. However, the significant road noise and the reported need for facility updates are important considerations for potential guests. Depending on individual priorities and noise sensitivity, Brushcreek Falls Resort might be a suitable option, particularly for short stopovers where convenience is paramount and interaction with the helpful staff is valued. However, those seeking a tranquil and amenity-rich "resort" experience may want to inquire further about the current conditions and noise levels before making a booking.
