Fantastic RV Park! We have stayed there the last 2 years now and will be back. We usually stay anywhere from 1.2 to 2 months. Great dog park and GREAT views. The staff is second to none! Just far enough out of the city to give you some relaxation, quiet at night but you can still listen to the coyotes light up the night sometimes.Thank you to the staff for the GREAT stay!Chuck and Shelly KeyesHenry SD
Apr 14, 2025 · Chuck KeyesReally nice out of the way place ! Some great views of the Texas Hill country. Norma and Mark were 'always' very helpful and friendly. Large and small dog parks were nice. I stayed for all of February and found it quite peaceful.Only bad note, locals do not seem to care to pick up after their dogs! It is too bad a few people can make it so unpleasant for others.
Feb 27, 2025 · Terri EllerJournal Entry – Buddy’s Backyard, Texas Hill CountryAs we made our way westward from the Texas Coastal Bend, we found a little piece of serenity tucked into the limestone hills of Dripping Springs. Buddy’s Backyard RV Resort became our oasis for a few days—perfectly situated near the entrance to Hamilton Pool Preserve and just a scenic 35-minute drive from the vibrant heart of downtown Austin. The resort felt like a quiet country retreat. Morning light filtered through the trees, birdsong filled the air, and from time to time we heard the distant whistles of cowboys working cattle somewhere beyond the ridgeline—answered faithfully by the lowing of unseen cows. A woman at the office told us a Western was being filmed nearby. It certainly felt like the kind of place that could transport you into another time. The park itself is clean, thoughtfully maintained, and has everything you need. We were impressed with how well-kept the grounds were. Even the longer-term sites looked tidy and respectable, blending in seamlessly with the transient travelers like us. Every RV space had enough room to breathe, and the peacefulness of the Hill Country air made each moment feel just a little bit slower, a little bit sweeter. They’re dog-friendly, too, which we appreciated even though we travel without a pup. There’s a small general store stocked with essentials, and a pool and hot tub area perfect for relaxing after a day of adventuring. We used this stop to visit the nearby Hamilton Pool (a must-see, even if the waterfall isn’t flowing) and the Texas Hill Country Olive Company, where we picked up some of the finest oils and balsamics we’ve tasted on our travels. We would gladly stay here again. It’s close enough to enjoy Austin but far enough to let your shoulders drop and take in the quieter side of Texas.#straycompasslife #fulltimervlife #rvlifestyle #rvliving #rvtravel #rvadventure #nomadlife #homeiswhereyouparkit #campgroundlife #texashillcountry #buddy'sbackyardrvresort
May 05, 2025 · Tom CorraoThis is a very clean, well maintained park with reliable utilities. It was very quiet overnight. It could use some shade trees as the sites will get warm during our Texas summer. Also, location is a little out of the way on a small road.
