Pace Bend RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Pace Bend RV Park, located at 306 Pace Bend Rd S, Spicewood, TX 78669, USA. For inquiries and reservations, you can contact them at (512) 382-6295 or +1 512-382-6295. This introduction aims to provide local users searching within the "RV parks near me" category with a detailed and objective overview of Pace Bend RV Park based on the available customer reviews.
Pace Bend RV Park appears to offer a mixed experience, with glowing reviews for its staff and bathhouse facilities, but significant concerns raised about neighboring guests and potentially loose pet policies. The park's location in Spicewood, near the popular Pace Bend Park and Lake Travis, suggests a beautiful natural setting. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues to make an informed decision.
Environment and Location:
The address of Pace Bend RV Park places it in Spicewood, Texas, an area known for its proximity to Lake Travis and the scenic Pace Bend Park. Pace Bend Park itself is a Travis County park renowned for its stunning limestone cliffs, numerous coves, and recreational activities such as boating, swimming, hiking, and mountain biking. This suggests that Pace Bend RV Park likely benefits from a beautiful natural environment, offering opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to explore the lake and surrounding landscape.
One reviewer specifically mentioned the beauty of their spot ("space 3" in a different park, likely a misreference, but the sentiment suggests the potential for beautiful spots within the general area). The overall impression is that Pace Bend RV Park is situated in a desirable location for those seeking access to Lake Travis and the recreational opportunities it provides.
However, one review also gives the impression that the majority of the people at the park "appear to be full timers" who may not be as welcoming to short-term "guests." This perception could influence the overall atmosphere and sense of community for temporary visitors.
Services and Amenities (Based on Reviews):
The park associates at Pace Bend RV Park receive high praise, with one reviewer giving them a 5-star rating and describing them as "fantastic," "friendly," "helpful," and "communicative" both before arrival and upon check-in. This suggests that the management and staff are dedicated to providing a positive experience and are readily available to assist guests.
The bathhouse also receives a 5-star rating in one review, indicating that the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and likely meet the needs of guests. Clean and well-kept bathhouses are often a crucial factor for RV travelers, especially those who may not have full bathroom facilities in their rigs.
However, the reviews do not provide extensive details about other potential amenities such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, recreational areas, or specific hookup information (power, water, sewer). Their absence in the reviews might suggest that these are either basic, not particularly noteworthy, or not mentioned by these specific reviewers.
The negative experiences reported by one guest regarding their neighbors highlight a potential issue with park rules enforcement or the consideration of short-term guests by some long-term residents. These issues included a loose dog repeatedly coming to their steps and barking, and a neighbor using their designated electrical box for decorative lights and then unplugging the guest's AC unit. These incidents suggest potential shortcomings in ensuring a respectful and comfortable environment for all guests.
Features and Highlights (Based on Reviews):
Based on the available feedback, the key features and highlights of Pace Bend RV Park appear to be:
- Friendly and Helpful Staff: The park associates are consistently praised for their excellent customer service.
- Clean and Well-Rated Bathhouse: The bathhouse facilities are considered to be of high quality.
- Proximity to Lake Travis and Pace Bend Park: The location offers easy access to outdoor recreational activities and scenic beauty.
- Communicative Booking Process: One reviewer specifically noted the helpful and communicative nature of the staff (Barrie) during the booking process.
However, potential drawbacks to consider include:
- Potential Issues with Neighboring Guests: Reports of disrespectful behavior, misuse of utilities, and noise from other campers.
- Loose Pet Concerns: At least one instance of a neighboring dog being allowed to roam freely and bother other guests.
- Perception of Unwelcoming Full-Timers: One guest felt that the long-term residents might not be particularly fond of short-term visitors.
Promotional Information and Why to Exercise Caution:
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Spicewood area, particularly those interested in Lake Travis, Pace Bend RV Park offers the allure of a fantastic location and friendly staff. The positive feedback regarding the park associates and the bathhouse suggests that the management is attentive to certain aspects of the guest experience.
However, the significant negative experience reported by one guest regarding their neighbors cannot be ignored. Issues such as loose pets and the misuse of electrical hookups, compounded by the neighbor's intoxicated state and late-night noise, raise concerns about the enforcement of park rules and the overall consideration for guest comfort and safety.
The perception of a potentially unwelcoming attitude from some long-term residents towards short-term guests could also be a deterrent for those looking for a more inclusive and community-oriented RV park experience.
Recommendations for Potential Visitors:
- Inquire about park rules: Specifically regarding pet policies, noise ordinances, and the use of shared utilities.
- Ask about site selection: If possible, inquire about the typical demographics of neighboring sites (long-term vs. short-term residents).
- Be prepared to address issues: Have a plan for how to handle potential conflicts with neighbors or violations of park rules, and know who to contact within the park management if problems arise.
While the friendly staff and beautiful location near Lake Travis are significant draws, the reported issues with neighboring guests suggest that the overall experience at Pace Bend RV Park can be variable and potentially uncomfortable. Local users considering this park should weigh the positive aspects against the potential for negative interactions with other campers.
It might be beneficial to seek more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader understanding of the current conditions and guest experiences at Pace Bend RV Park. The limited information available presents a picture of a park with strong positives in terms of staff and location, but potential weaknesses in ensuring a respectful and comfortable environment among all guests.
In conclusion, Pace Bend RV Park offers a prime location for enjoying Lake Travis and boasts friendly and helpful staff, as well as a well-regarded bathhouse. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues with neighboring guests, including loose pets, misuse of utilities, and noise disturbances. Exercising caution and seeking further information before booking a stay is recommended for those considering Pace Bend RV Park within the "RV parks near me" category.

Pace Bend RV Park Reviews
Park associates are fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ friendly, helpful, communicative leading up to our stay and upon our arrival. Bath house ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our neighbors however will be the reason we won’t be retuning. The dog next door was let lose, would come lay at our steps and come bark at us. The other neighbor had his decorative lights on his trees plugged into our designated electrical box. We unplugged one of them to plug in our small A/C. We went to dinner and upon returning they had unplugged our A/C from our electrical box and plugged their decorative lights back in. He was very intoxicated, the lady there even mentioned he’d consumed half a bottle of whiskey. At a little after 10p he started playing music loudly till about midnight. We had an athletic event the next morning. This was really disappointing. It was a very uncomfortable situation. My personal impression , the majority of the people here appear to be full timers and they don’t prefer “guests”. We didn’t feel safe asking the neighbor if we could plug our A/C back in while he was that intoxicated. We couldn’t find anything near by to relocate to. Our 2nd night was quiet. No issues 2nd day other than the lose dog in our area.

Mar 18, 2023 · David ReadWe wanted to wait a few months before giving a fair and honest review about Pace Bend RV Park. We read some negative reviews about this place before moving from a different state. Those reviews were specifically about the manager Barrie. While we considered and weighed those negative reviews against the positive ones, we also understood that different people have different experiences and that we could not pass judgement before experiencing it for ourselves. We decided to pick this RV park mainly due to location, availability and the timeframe we needed to move in. We are very happy with our decision. We had a crazy road trip that took multiple days but Barrie made sure that our arrival was quick, easy and hassle-free. We have now called this RV park our home for the last few months and can earnestly say that the manager Barrie has been absolutely amazing. It's the little things that make a big difference. We have truly felt taken care of by Barrie and her husband. They have been quick to address any questions or concerns and are always helpful. We have had neighbors come and go but all of them have been friendly and respectful. We believe this is in large part to the fact that Barrie manages this place well and is fair, respectful and accommodating. This is a quiet RV park that's far enough away from the busyness of Austin but close enough in case you need to run for dinner or errands. It will honestly be hard moving away from here when the time comes. Thank you to the owners and management for making us feel at home here.
Jun 06, 2024 · tspbFrom the beginning to the end Barri was warm and welcoming. She was always responsive and extremely helpful. Led us all the way into the park. The bathroom was clean and immaculate as if they recently had them remodeled. . I'll definitely be back!
Oct 26, 2023 · Fun LovingQuiet little park just outside of the hustle and bustle but a quick drive to restaurants and shops. It’s under newer management and we could not have asked for a more accommodating experience. The park manager Barrie was as sweet as can be and made us really feel at home. Will definitely be staying here again during our next trip to the Hill Country! Definitely recommend eating at Poodies Roadhouse right up the road for great live music and people watching!
