Camper Resort On Lake Travis Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me," particularly those hoping for a lakeside experience in the Austin, Texas area, Camper Resort On Lake Travis, located at 17317 W Beach Rd, Austin, TX 78734, presents a unique option. Situated directly on the shores of the popular Lake Travis, this RV park offers the allure of waterfront living and recreational opportunities. However, online reviews provide contrasting perspectives on the park's atmosphere and accessibility for short-term visitors.
One long-term resident offers a positive view of Camper Resort On Lake Travis, emphasizing its selective approach to residents, which they appreciate. This suggests a focus on fostering a particular type of community. The reviewer also notes the park's tendency to be fully occupied, implying a high demand and a stable, long-term resident base. Furthermore, they describe the community as "very quiet" and primarily composed of retired individuals, which could be appealing to those seeking a peaceful and tranquil environment.
In stark contrast, another review from someone seeking a short-term stay paints a less favorable picture. This potential visitor recounts a negative phone interaction, describing the staff member as "rude" and unhelpful. According to this review, when inquiring about availability for a few days' vacation, they were informed that the park was full. The interaction reportedly escalated when the caller asked about other waterfront RV options on Lake Travis, with the staff member allegedly stating that Camper Resort was the only one and that there were no other parking options. The review further claims that the staff member hung up abruptly, leaving the potential visitor with a highly negative impression, deeming the individual a "nut case" and vowing never to stay there, even if it were free.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," Camper Resort On Lake Travis's prime location directly on Lake Travis is undoubtedly a significant feature. Waterfront access provides opportunities for various lake activities such as boating, fishing, swimming, and simply enjoying the scenic views. For RV enthusiasts seeking these amenities, the location alone could be a major draw. However, the conflicting reviews regarding the park's atmosphere and the reported negative interaction with a potential short-term visitor raise important considerations for those planning a stay.
Based on the long-term resident's feedback, Camper Resort On Lake Travis appears to function primarily as a long-term residential community for RV owners, possibly with limited availability for short-term vacationers. The emphasis on a "picky" selection process for residents and the rarity of openings suggest that securing a spot, especially for a brief visit, might be challenging. The quiet, retiree-dominated atmosphere described by the resident indicates a community that values peace and tranquility, which might not be the ideal setting for all types of RV travelers, particularly those seeking a more lively or family-oriented environment during their vacation.
Services and features of Camper Resort On Lake Travis are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. However, being an established RV park, it likely offers standard amenities such as utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer) at each site. Given its lakeside location, it might also provide features like lake access points, potential docking or launching facilities (though this is not confirmed), and possibly common areas for residents. The quiet nature of the community, as highlighted by a resident, could be considered a feature for those seeking a serene living environment.
Promotional information is absent in the provided text. However, potential promotional aspects for Camper Resort On Lake Travis could focus on its unique waterfront location on Lake Travis, the peaceful and quiet atmosphere appreciated by long-term residents, and the sense of community fostered by its selective resident policy. However, they would also need to address the potential challenges short-term visitors might face in securing a spot and ensure that their communication with prospective guests is welcoming and professional.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" on Lake Travis, Camper Resort presents a location with undeniable appeal. However, the information gleaned from online reviews suggests a strong emphasis on long-term residents and potential difficulties for short-term visitors in terms of availability and initial communication. Individuals interested in staying at Camper Resort On Lake Travis, whether for a short vacation or a longer period, should contact the park directly at (512) 266-1562 or +1 512-266-1562 to inquire about current availability, reservation policies, amenities offered, and the overall atmosphere of the park. It would be prudent to manage expectations regarding short-term stays based on the reported experiences and to ascertain if the park is primarily geared towards long-term residents. The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of direct communication to determine if Camper Resort On Lake Travis aligns with individual needs and preferences.

I said...so if I come to lake Travis you are the only rv park...I can park no where? He said...yep. AND hung up. That was horrible and this man was a nut case!
