Buffalo Meadows RV Park Introduce
For travelers exploring Pocatello, Idaho, and searching under the category of "RV parks near me" for a place to stay, Buffalo Meadows RV Park, located at 384 N US-91, Pocatello, ID 83202, offers full hook ups at a reasonable price. However, based on the available customer reviews, there are several factors to consider regarding the layout, potential noise, and utility configurations of this RV park.
One reviewer notes the availability of "full hook ups at a reasonable price," which is a significant advantage for RVers seeking comprehensive services at an affordable rate. Full hook ups typically include water, electricity, and sewer connections, providing convenience and self-sufficiency for RV travelers. This positive aspect suggests that Buffalo Meadows RV Park can be an economical choice for those needing these essential amenities.
However, this same reviewer also points out that "RV's are packed in close where you may be walking over your neighbors hookups." This indicates that while the park offers full services, the sites might be quite close together, potentially impacting privacy and ease of movement around your campsite. The mention of possibly walking over a neighbor's hookups suggests a dense layout where space between RVs is limited. The reviewer does offer a potential solution, noting, "You can pay more for a larger site," implying that options for more spacious accommodations may be available at a higher cost.
Another crucial piece of information from this review concerns potential noise. They advise to "Check the event schedule as outdoor concerts are next to the rv park and can run till midnight." This is a significant consideration for those seeking a quiet and restful stay. The proximity to an outdoor concert venue that operates late into the night could result in considerable noise disturbance, depending on the event schedule and the individual's sensitivity to sound. Travelers prioritizing peace and quiet, especially during evening hours, should definitely heed this warning and inquire about any scheduled events during their potential stay.
On a more positive note, the same reviewer mentions that "Security makes frequent rounds so the park is generally quite." This suggests that while there might be external noise from concerts at times, the park management takes security seriously, which contributes to a generally peaceful atmosphere within the RV park itself, particularly during non-event hours. The presence of security can also provide a sense of safety and well-being for guests.
In contrast to the generally positive but cautionary review above, another customer reported a significant issue with the utility hookup configuration at their assigned RV site. They stated, "I checked into an RV site, but the utilities were set up for the site next to me. The sewer and power were in my neighbors camp area and the water is on the other side of my campsite. The water next to my electric, actually belongs to the site next to me." This description indicates a potentially problematic and inconvenient setup where the necessary utility connections for a specific site are physically located in the adjacent campsites. The reviewer's concern about having to "play with multiple sewer hoses and a possible sewer or electrical mess" is understandable and highlights a significant practical challenge for anyone encountering such a configuration.
Due to this issue, the reviewer decided to "leave and find another campground," underscoring the severity of the problem and its impact on the overall RVing experience. This review serves as a strong caution for prospective guests, suggesting that there might be inconsistencies or errors in the way utility hookups are assigned or configured at some sites within Buffalo Meadows RV Park. It would be prudent for travelers to verify the utility connections at their assigned site immediately upon arrival to avoid similar complications.
In terms of the environment, the reviews offer limited details beyond the mention of closely packed sites. There is no information about the overall aesthetics of the park, the presence of trees or green spaces, or any other environmental features that might contribute to the ambiance of the campground.
Regarding services and features, the park offers full hook ups (water, electricity, and sewer) and security patrols. The possibility of paying more for a larger site suggests that different tiers of sites with varying sizes might be available. However, the reviews do not mention other common RV park amenities such as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, recreational areas, or on-site management availability.
From a promotional perspective, the "reasonable price" and "full hook ups" are attractive selling points. The presence of security could also be highlighted as a benefit. However, the potential for closely packed sites and noise from nearby concerts, as well as the reported issues with utility hookup configurations, are significant drawbacks that prospective guests need to be aware of.
For individuals considering Buffalo Meadows RV Park as one of their "RV parks near me," it is essential to weigh the affordability and full hook ups against the potential downsides of closely packed sites, possible noise from concerts, and the risk of encountering utility setup problems. It would be highly advisable to contact the park directly at (208) 238-4800 or +1 208-238-4800 to inquire about site availability, the layout of different sites, the schedule of any nearby events that might cause noise, and the park's policies regarding utility hookup assignments and issue resolution. Asking specific questions about the size of the standard and larger sites, as well as any other amenities offered, would also be beneficial.
In conclusion, Buffalo Meadows RV Park in Pocatello, ID, offers the advantage of full hook ups at a reasonable price and provides security patrols. However, potential guests should be prepared for the possibility of closely packed sites, potential noise from adjacent outdoor concerts, and the risk of encountering issues with the proper configuration of utility hookups at their assigned site. Thoroughly checking the event schedule and verifying the utility connections upon arrival would be prudent steps for anyone choosing to stay at Buffalo Meadows RV Park.

Oct 24, 2023 · Stephen GaylordGreat spot to park the RV. Very good burger at the restaurant inside. The gym, pool, and hottube was nice to relax in.
May 05, 2025 · Thomas PenaEasy access off I-15. Check in at hotel/casino reception. RVers have pool/gym privileges at the hotel.RV spaces are a little narrow with some low hanging trees but great for an overnight stop. A favorite of mine.
Nov 19, 2024 · Nicola BelisleHere are the positives - the price was very very competitive, plenty of shade trees, very level, all hookups at the site in working order, available when we needed it(we booked 3months ahead,), LOCATION...Negatives- bathrooms were passable but that's all, NO HOT Water- I got three different responses when asked when it would be available,,- I'd ask if hot water is working when you book space), too close together (noisy, although shade trees helped), not ALOT of room to park 2nd vehicle if you have one. All in all, for the money it was good. They are among the lowest cost in tiwn- we paid 80/night for four nights. Did not ask if there was a weekly rate...
