Cactus Country RV Resort Introduce
Are you looking for exceptional "RV parks near me" in the Tucson, Arizona area? Cactus Country RV Resort, situated at 10195 S Houghton Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747, USA, presents itself as a campground with outstanding facilities and a great location, according to some online reviews. However, it's important to consider all feedback, including comments regarding management, to form a comprehensive understanding of what this RV resort offers.
One enthusiastic reviewer described Cactus Country RV Resort as "one of the nicest, if not the nicest, campgrounds we’ve stayed at." This high praise suggests that the resort excels in providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for its guests. The reviewer specifically highlighted "great facilities," indicating that the park offers well-maintained and high-quality amenities. This could include features such as spacious RV sites, well-kept common areas, and possibly recreational facilities.
The positive feedback extends to the essential amenities as well. The reviewer specifically mentioned "great showers" and "great laundry," underscoring the cleanliness and functionality of these facilities. Clean and reliable showers and laundry rooms are crucial for the comfort and convenience of RV travelers, especially those on longer journeys. This positive mention suggests that Cactus Country RV Resort prioritizes the upkeep of these important aspects of their park.
Location is another strong point for Cactus Country RV Resort, with the reviewer simply stating "great location." The specific advantages of the location are not detailed in this review, but it implies that the resort is situated in a desirable area, potentially offering convenient access to local attractions, services, or the natural beauty of the Tucson region. For those seeking "RV parks near me" with a prime location, Cactus Country RV Resort appears to be well-regarded in this aspect.
The staff at Cactus Country RV Resort also received positive comments, with the reviewer noting that they are "friendly" and that "the checking process was super easy." A friendly and efficient staff can significantly enhance the overall experience at an RV park, making guests feel welcome and ensuring a smooth start to their stay. Easy check-in procedures are particularly appreciated by travelers who may have had a long day on the road.
However, it is crucial to consider the contrasting experience shared by another reviewer. This individual, who mentions that "People there are generally cool," indicating a positive interaction with fellow guests, had a significantly negative experience with the management. They stated that the "Manager treats people like trash" and gave the customer experience with the Manager a "0 out of 10." The reviewer further elaborated that the Manager "treats long stay people like her employees" and expressed that if they were an employee treated in such a manner, they would quit. This serious feedback raises concerns about the management style and its potential impact on the overall atmosphere and the experience of long-term guests. While short-term visitors may have limited interaction with the manager, long-term residents could be more significantly affected by negative management practices.
The discrepancy in these two reviews highlights the importance of considering all available feedback when evaluating "RV parks near me." While one reviewer had an overwhelmingly positive experience with the facilities, amenities, location, and general staff, another reported a severely negative interaction with the management, which significantly impacted their perception of the resort.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Tucson, Arizona, Cactus Country RV Resort presents a mixed picture based on the available reviews. The resort is praised for its excellent facilities, clean amenities (showers and laundry), great location, and friendly staff. These are significant factors that contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable stay for RV travelers. However, the serious concerns raised about the management's treatment of guests, particularly long-term residents, should not be overlooked.
Prospective visitors and long-term residents may want to seek further information or clarification regarding the management situation. It could be beneficial to read more recent reviews to see if there are consistent patterns in feedback regarding management or if any changes have been noted. If possible, contacting the resort directly and perhaps speaking with current long-term residents could provide additional insights into the overall atmosphere and management practices.
Given the platform category of "RV parks near me," Cactus Country RV Resort appears to offer many of the key features that RV travelers look for: good facilities, cleanliness, a convenient location, and friendly staff. However, the negative feedback concerning the manager is a significant factor that potential guests should be aware of and consider in their decision-making process.

Cactus Country RV Resort Reviews
Park isn't bad. People there are generally cool. Manager treats people like trash. Customer experience with Manager is a 0 out of 10 she treats long stay people like her employees and if I were an employee for this place I would quit if she treats her people like she treats me.
Apr 11, 2025 · Kyle HollandOne of the nicest, if not the nicest, campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Great facilities, great showers, great laundry, great location. Staff if friendly and the checking process was super easy.
Apr 29, 2025 · George GillClean and orderly with cool landscaping. Staff was nice.Kids were pool noodle fighting so no chance of using that area. Can hear coyotes at night surrounding the fences.Spaces not angled and roads are tight for turns for bigger rigs. Expensive for one night though as we used little of the facility.
Dec 01, 2024 · Shandi RaneaI stop in the office often, I can confirm the manager (or the woman who tells people shes the manager?) and her friends who hang out all day are very rude people but I thought it was just to workers they decided are "beneath" them but reading the other reviews, they're just mean miserable people.
Apr 28, 2025 · Rely KuesWe stopped at this location for one night. It was dark when we arrived, and it was hard to find our spot. There are no lights in the park except from other Rvs and a fairly large place. We loved the location, and it was nice to have a large fenced-in area for our dogs, but there was no grass for them. We wish we had arrived earlier so we could enjoy all the park had to offer. Bathrooms were one of the better ones we stayed in and pretty clean. We read some bad reviews about the staff but we didn't have any interaction with them so can't comment on them but we're told by one RVer to not cut thru properties that they would not be happy.
