Canoe Creek RV Resort Introduce
For those navigating the digital landscape in search of "RV parks near me," Canoe Creek RV Resort presents itself as a potential destination in St. Cloud, Florida. Located at 4101 Canoe Creek Rd, St Cloud, FL 34772, USA, this RV park offers a variety of accommodations for both short-term visitors and those seeking a more extended stay. With contact options available via phone at (407) 892-7010 or mobile at +1 407-892-7010, prospective guests can inquire about availability and services.
The environment of Canoe Creek RV Resort, as with any long-standing establishment, has undergone various phases of development and management. The park is situated in St. Cloud, a city known for its natural beauty and proximity to Central Florida's renowned attractions. This location offers a blend of peaceful natural surroundings and convenient access to a wide array of entertainment, dining, and shopping options in the greater Orlando area. For RV enthusiasts, the appeal of being close to theme parks, natural springs, and recreational activities like fishing and boating is often a key consideration.
When considering the services and features available at Canoe Creek RV Resort, it's important to note the varying perspectives from guests, which highlight both areas of improvement and existing amenities. The park operates under the management of Garber Communities, a detail that is significant as new management often brings changes and investments aimed at enhancing the guest experience. For users seeking "RV parks near me," the availability of hookups for water, electricity, and septic is a fundamental expectation, and Canoe Creek RV Resort provides these essential services for RVs.
Historically, some accounts suggest that the park's infrastructure, particularly electrical and septic systems, may have shown signs of aging. However, recent feedback indicates that under the new management, significant efforts are being made to address these concerns and upgrade the facilities. This commitment to improvement is crucial for attracting and retaining visitors who prioritize reliable and modern amenities. The presence of recreational facilities such as a shuffleboard court is noted, though the condition and availability of such amenities, particularly whether they are seasonal or consistently maintained, have been points of discussion among past guests. For those looking for a fitness center, it's important to verify its current availability and operational status, as it has been described as seasonal in some reports.
The park's features extend to its communal areas, including restrooms and showers. While some past reviews have pointed out that these facilities may not be ADA compliant, indicating narrow stalls and potential difficulties for wheelchair access, it is possible that improvements are underway as part of the new management's initiatives. Access to Wi-Fi is a highly sought-after amenity for many RVers today, and it is worth noting that some older reviews indicate a lack of Wi-Fi or modern connectivity. Prospective guests are encouraged to confirm the current status of internet access, as this is a common upgrade for many RV parks striving to meet contemporary demands.
Promotional information, based on the positive review, emphasizes several key aspects of Canoe Creek RV Resort. The new management, Garber Communities, is highlighted as a driving force behind "vast improvements" aimed at making the resort more attractive to both residents and visitors. This suggests an ongoing commitment to facility upgrades and service enhancements. The atmosphere is described as friendly, which contributes significantly to the overall guest experience. Reasonable pricing is also cited as a major advantage, making it a potentially appealing option for budget-conscious travelers or those seeking long-term stays without breaking the bank. Furthermore, its "close proximity to all Central Florida attractions" is a strong selling point for tourists eager to explore the region's famous theme parks, natural preserves, and other points of interest. This makes it a strategic base for adventurers exploring the Sunshine State.
However, it is also important to consider the critical feedback to form a comprehensive understanding. Some past guests have expressed concerns about the park's classification as a "resort," suggesting it leaned more towards a "low class trailer park" with older models. Issues such as electrical problems, flooding, and non-compliance with local codes regarding dated infrastructure were raised. The park lighting has also been described as poor, leading to feelings of unsafety, particularly at night. The management's training and the presence of a licensed community manager have also been points of contention. Additionally, claims of a discriminatory application process regarding the "55+" designation and the presence of younger, "troublesome neighbors" have been noted. Reports of individuals climbing over fences and cutting through the property at night from Canoe Creek Road contribute to safety concerns, particularly given the park's location "out of the town limits" and its dark environment. These details underscore the importance for prospective guests to conduct their own due diligence and perhaps visit the park if possible before committing to a stay, especially for extended periods.
In summary, Canoe Creek RV Resort, while having received mixed reviews in the past, appears to be undergoing a transition under Garber Communities with a stated aim of significant improvements. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me," this location offers essential RV hookups, a friendly atmosphere according to recent accounts, reasonable pricing, and a strategic location near Central Florida attractions. However, it is also crucial for prospective guests to be aware of past criticisms concerning infrastructure, amenities, and safety, and to verify the current status of any advertised features. The commitment of the new management to upgrades could signify a positive trajectory for the resort, making it a potentially worthwhile option for those seeking an RV park experience in St. Cloud, Florida.

Canoe Creek RV Resort Reviews
This camp ground is no resort. Be careful with office staff, they hand write still no modern park management system, always get a receipt and make sure they note what its for (ie. Utility Deposit, Rent, etc.) It is a very low class trailer park with models dating back to the 1970’s mixed in with a poor attempt to update it. Amenities advertised were not all present (fitness center, recreation is seasonal) We noted electrical issues, flooding and major non compliance to local codes regarding the dated electricity, septic infrastructure and condemned park models and existing additions/tents put on not to code on many of the older models. Showers and restrooms are not ADA Compliant, standard narrow stalls with no way for a wheelchair to roll into the showers! Do not recommend! No wifi or modern amenities, the shuffle board court lights were original to 1970’s. and poor park lighting throughout. Management was not properly trained on operations of a park, no licensed community manager onsite. Discriminatory application process (they claim 55+ but lots of much younger and troublesome neighbors in the front of the park). Witnessed guys climbing over the park fence and cutting through the property at night from Canoe Creek Rd, felt unsafe at night, very dark and out of the town limits. You get what you pay for here, buyer beware!
Sep 24, 2024 · Kenny Bradley HerringI've lived in St. Cloud near Canoe Creek Campground for 44 years. Under new management, Garber Communities, I have seen vast improvements on the amenities in this resort that were long in coming. It is clear to see that the new management team is striving to make Canoe Creek Campground a resort that will be attractive to it's residents and visitors from all over. With it's friendly atmosphere, reasonable pricing and close proximity to all Central Florida attractions I highly recommend Canoe Creek Campground.
Sep 17, 2024 · Danny NilesI recently stopped by Canoe Creek RV Resort to use their dump station and had a frustrating experience. The fee was quoted at $75, which seemed incredibly high, especially since I was told the price used to be $25. Steve and Vicky, who I found out are part of the management, explained that the price was raised to prevent people from using the dump station. However, this reasoning felt more like an excuse to price gouge rather than a genuine policy change. It was disappointing to feel like I was being charged an excessive amount for a basic service. The significant price hike felt unfair and unnecessary. I would suggest looking for alternative dump stations, as this one seems overpriced and managed in a way that doesn't seem guest-friendly.
Mar 26, 2025 · ChanMy Husband and I have been renting an RV site here for a few months. We have enjoyed our stay and see the Staff working diligently day after day to get this place cleaned up. Removing old units, renovating and revamping this park, etc. Steve and Vickie have provided wonderful customer service, and are doing a fantastic job managing and facilitating changes and upgrades. Pricing is reasonable, considering all other campgrounds are priced way higher.
Dec 10, 2024 · Agnes BreaultFebruary 2025. As stated in other reviews, new ownership is working to make improvements. Positives: The staff was top notch, friendly, and very helpful. The bathrooms, laundry area, and activities building were either new or recently updated. A new recreation area, pool (summer 2026j and bocce area are all scheduled soon according to the property manager we talked to. An Electrical contractor was updating the system several days we were there. The residents were all friendly and quick to say hello. Our site had full hookup including 50/30/20amp. Negatives: You can still tell it was a trailer park previously, many of the trailers, and some RVs are very old and a coat of paint wont hide 4 flat tires or the general conditions of some units. Not much to do in the area unless you are looking for a place that isnt to far from Disney and such. Several days we went to a walking park (Lakefront Park, St Cloud) about 10 mins away to get some exercise because the resort is small and the roads in the area do not have sidewalks. They own 10 more acres across the street and we suggested a walking path using both properties in the future. The WiFi was only available at the activity center and not throughout. Doors in women’s bathrooms need to swing out otherwise you were spinning around to get past the TP holder and the door to shut it. No Military/First Responder discount available as in many of the other parks we have stayed at. We camped at Canoe Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
