Chalet North Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Are you a local user in Apopka, Florida, searching for "RV parks near me" with the intention of finding a long-term residential option within a manufactured home community? Chalet North Manufactured Home Community, located at 1800 Alpine Dr, Apopka, FL 32703, USA, presents a starkly contrasting image based on the available online reviews. One long-term resident expresses strong satisfaction, while another details numerous serious issues. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Chalet North based on these opposing viewpoints, highlighting both potential positives and significant concerns to help local users make a well-informed preliminary assessment.
One reviewer, claiming to have lived in Chalet North for seven years, offers a positive perspective. This resident expresses strong affection for the community, stating, "I can't tell you how much I love it." They specifically credit the "ladies in the front office" for having "really cleaned this place up" and praise their helpfulness and follow-through when assistance is needed. This reviewer dismisses negative comments from others, suggesting that dissatisfied residents should simply move. They emphasize minding their own business and highlight the employees' helpfulness and reliability. This positive experience leads them to enthusiastically recommend Chalet North to others, stating they would move there again "in a minute" and would encourage friends to do the same, inviting potential residents to "Come check it out you will love it." This review suggests a community with responsive management and a positive living experience for at least some residents.
However, a significantly more critical review paints a drastically different picture, urging potential residents to "RUN ELSEWHERE..DO NOT MOVE HERE." This reviewer details a multitude of serious problems. A primary concern is the water quality, described as "bad and always needs to be boiled" due to frequent pipe bursts. These bursts reportedly lead to water accumulation on roads and near lots. Adding to the frustration, the billing for water and sewage is allegedly higher in months with main water breaks, despite residents experiencing hours without water, which is never prorated. The reviewer describes the indignity of returning home from work and being unable to shower after paying rent, allegedly due to a public "white board" displaying lot numbers of those who haven't paid.
Beyond the water issues, this reviewer alleges prejudice and discrimination within the community, stating they have "never been harassed like I have living here." They provide a specific example involving their husband's landscaping business trailer. Despite parking it elsewhere, they claim they were harassed and given a tow sticker for briefly stopping by their home with the trailer attached to drop off kids or retrieve items from the shed. They contrast this with other trailers and semi-tow trucks allegedly parked without issue. The reviewer also describes receiving frequent "rule reminder" notes for minor issues like shed repair and weed removal, even when their property is claimed to be in better condition than others not receiving such notices. Similarly, they were asked to fix broken blinds while numerous other homes allegedly have uncovered or poorly covered windows without similar reminders.
This reviewer also reports difficulty contacting corporate management to file a complaint, stating there is no readily available phone number or email. They express concern about potential eviction due to the escalating "rule reminders" and indicate an intention to seek legal counsel, alleging uneven enforcement of rules within the park. They provide specific examples of other properties with apparent violations that are not addressed, including a messy trailer near the office and a rented/Airbnb trailer also near the office. The reviewer also recounts an incident where a friend's car was towed for briefly having a back tire slightly off the cracked driveway onto the dirt. Finally, they describe being harassed about their leashed dogs while a neighbor's dog roams freely. The reviewer concludes by strongly advising against moving to Chalet North, emphasizing that the lot rent covers only sewage, water, and trash in addition to the lot itself.
The stark contrast between these two reviews highlights the complexity of assessing Chalet North Manufactured Home Community. While one long-term resident reports a positive experience with helpful management and improvements, another details severe infrastructure issues (water), allegations of discriminatory practices, strict and seemingly selectively enforced rules, and a lack of accessible corporate oversight.
For local users considering Chalet North as a potential long-term residence, it is imperative to approach with extreme caution and conduct thorough and independent investigation. Relying solely on these two anecdotal accounts is insufficient to make an informed decision. The following steps are strongly recommended:
- Contact Chalet North directly at (407) 886-2491 or +1 407-886-2491 to inquire about the current status of the water system, including any recent history of outages and planned upgrades. Request information about water billing practices, especially in cases of service disruption.
- Inquire about the park's rules and regulations, particularly regarding parking of trailers and commercial vehicles, property maintenance expectations, and pet policies. Obtain a written copy of these rules if possible.
- Ask about the process for addressing resident complaints and the availability of contact information for corporate management or a higher authority beyond the on-site office.
- Critically, attempt to speak with a diverse group of current residents to gather a broader range of experiences and opinions about living in Chalet North. Inquire about their experiences with water service, rule enforcement, and management responsiveness.
- Visit the community in person to assess the overall environment, the condition of the infrastructure (roads, water facilities if visible), and the upkeep of individual lots and common areas.
- Pay close attention to any signs of selective rule enforcement or visible disrepair in common areas or on other properties.
For local users searching for short-term "RV parks near me," Chalet North, as a manufactured home community focused on long-term residency, is likely not suitable. Mobile home parks typically do not offer the amenities and services catered to transient RV travelers.
In conclusion, Chalet North Manufactured Home Community in Apopka, Florida, presents a highly polarized image based on the available reviews. While one resident expresses strong satisfaction with recent improvements and helpful management, another provides a detailed account of significant problems, including water issues, alleged discriminatory practices, strict and unevenly enforced rules, and difficulties in contacting corporate management. Local users considering long-term residency here must exercise extreme caution and conduct extensive independent research to determine if the community's realities align with their needs and expectations. The serious allegations raised in one of the reviews warrant thorough investigation.

Chalet North Manufactured Home Community Reviews
I have lived here in Chalet North now for 7 years and I can't tell you how much I love it. The ladies in the front office have really cleaned this place up. Every time I need something they make it work for me.people are talking trash about this place but if you don't like it move. I mind my own business and the employees here are very helpful and they follow through with what they tell you they are going to do. I would move here again in a minute and would tell all my friends to do the same. Come check it out you will love it
Apr 29, 2025 · pewmau5RUN ELSEWHERE..DO NOT MOVE HERE. The water is bad and always needs to be boiled because the pipes keeps bursting. When the pipes burst there is water everywhere seeping through the roads and sometimes really close to the lots. The billing for water and sewage is always higher on the months that we have main water breaks too. Even though we go hours without water it’s never prorated. Image coming home from work for not being able to take a shower after you paid your rent so your lot number won’t be wrote on the white board they put in front of the office letting everyone know you didn’t pay your rent. Mind you they use lot numbers on the board so it’s not hard to figure out when your neighbors haven’t paid their rent. They are also prejudice and show discrimination. I have lived here for a while and have never been harassed like I have living here. My husband owns a small landscaping business and brought a trailer and despite having to park it elsewhere we can’t even have the trailer parked to just stop by the house and grab something out the shed or drop the kids off after school with the trailer attached for five minutes without them placing a tow sticker on my truck window that doesn’t come off and leaves residue when it does. My truck is always parked here why not stick it on the trailer that is not a commercial trailer in any way just a blank white enclosed trailer. But every time you look up there is trailers and semi tow trucks parked not being messed with or harassed to leave. Also now we keep getting notes on the door called rule reminders, last week it was repair the shed and remove weeds around the trailer. The reminder was dated 3/28 and I received it on the 1st, requesting or reminding us to do this stuff by the 9th. This week its paint the shed, reminder dated 4/12 and I just received it today requesting by the 17th. My shed looks brand new compared to all the sheds in the front of the trailer park that are ruined and barely standing. But I guess mine is the only one that bothers them. They have also requested that I fix my broken blinds while we all know there is a thousand and one widows in this trailer park that are either not covered with blinds, covered with blankets or if they are the blinds are broken but once again I guess my blinds are the only blinds noticeable. I have tried to contact corporate to file a complaint and there is not a number or email to contact anyone at a corporate office. I guess I’ll be getting evicted, or pulled in court soon as the reminders are coming back to back now for some reason but I will be contacting a lawyer as no one follows the rules or seem to be reminded as much as us. The trailer that sits right in front of the office has screens missing and weeds everywhere just a mess but they don’t seem to get reminded as the trailer has been looking a mess for about a year. There is also a green trailer or turquoise trailer that is for sale that is being rented out or air-b-n-bed to different people that again sits right in front of the office but they don’t remind them of the rules. They have even went as far as towing my friends car out my driveway because the gravel is cracked and the way she parked her back tire ended up off the drive way a little and in the dirt on the side of the driveway. They have also harassed my kids to put my frenchies on the leash and to get doggie bags, while the whole time the dogs were already on the leash. The manager just couldn’t see it from how far she was, just yelling, while the lady next door just opens the door and lets her dog out freely. I can go on and on but like I said RUN don’t even walk past this office and definitely don’t give it thought it’s not worth it believe me I only pay lot rent+sewage+water+ trash that comes on one bill.
Apr 14, 2025 · Solee ChavezIt's almost 5 o'clock in the morning and neighbor is still blasting their music. It also seems to be ok with them to run a business out of their home which leads to vehicles flying down my street at least twice a day blocking my yard while they load them with whatever which is great on trash pickup days when the trucks can't get to my can. This "community" has definitely gone downhill and isn't what it was when we moved here.
Dec 15, 2024 · Tamara AstaritaIf there's ONE place I'd NEVER recommend ANYONE move it's here. The front office rarely, if ever, answers the phone and wont help. I was told the office was open until 6 and despite called around 530 they DID NOT ANSWER!!!! Why do they do this??? I dont understand??? Making doing anything over the phone a living nightmare. DONT MOVE HERE!!Only move here if you're comfortable with neighbors literally playing loud music 24/7. And I mean LOUD!! No one cares; not the property manager and not Apopka PD.I work night shift and sleep during the day, I understand most people aren't like that but there's no reason to be having a rave party at 9am.Update: It's been a week since I posted this and it's only gotten worse.I've honestly never hated people or a place as much as I do here. It's the same music, everyday, promptly from 8am throughout the ENTIRE DAY. NONSTOP. I feel sorry for the people who work from home.Being here is miserable. Not to mention the water is absolutely foul and constantly subjected to being turned off at random. I've actually bought a whole separat water dispenser just to avoid tap water here 👍 We're CONSTANTLY under a boil water notice.
Apr 11, 2025 · CJWe have lived here almost a year and a half. I really like the park and have noticed changes. The amount of feral cats has been reduced significantly in our area. They were using under our deck as a litter box. Racing down Lake Pleasant has also been reduced. Police monitor the area more frequently. Racing is a hazard as many people walk to the store at all hours. Someone could get hit. I would rather see kids playing outside. They need the fresh air. But they must be supervised and clear the streets when vehicles are coming. We have had some water shutoff, but most are announced prior to work being done. Once in a while they do not turn the water fully on. I hear the pipes moan. I do wish they would have more activities such as bingo or cards, maybe a pool table or pot luck suppers to meet the neighbors. Just sayin.....
