Lost Lake RV Park LLC Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Apopka, Florida area? Lost Lake RV Park LLC, situated at 3400 Clarcona Rd, Apopka, FL 32703, offers a potentially tranquil and intimate atmosphere with a scenic lake view. You can reach them at (407) 886-1996 or +1 407-886-1996 for inquiries about availability and rates. Based on recent customer feedback, the park presents a mix of positive attributes and areas of concern that prospective visitors should consider.
Lost Lake RV Park aims to provide a peaceful retreat for RV travelers and those seeking longer-term stays. The environment is described as generally quiet, fostering a sense of intimacy within the park. One reviewer appreciated the "peaceful, intimate atmosphere" and the presence of wildlife, noting a pair of cranes that reside on the property, adding a unique touch to the setting. The park's location near a lake contributes to its scenic appeal, with the pool area offering particularly attractive views.
Several positive aspects of Lost Lake RV Park are consistently highlighted in the reviews. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is noted as a significant advantage, providing a comfortable and hygienic experience for guests. The availability of "plenty of laundry facilities" is another practical benefit for both short-term and long-term visitors. The pool is described as "well-maintained" and a "great place to relax," further enhanced by the picturesque view of the lake. These features contribute to a potentially enjoyable and convenient stay.
The maintenance staff at Lost Lake RV Park receives high praise, with one reviewer stating that they are "one of the best features of the park." The staff is described as "professional, quick to respond, and attentive to resolving any issues." This responsiveness and efficiency in addressing maintenance concerns can significantly enhance the overall guest experience and provide peace of mind.
However, the reviews also raise several noteworthy concerns that potential visitors should be aware of. A significant issue highlighted is the recent increase in prices. The cost for a 30-amp site reportedly "skyrocketed" from $650 to $800 per month, a substantial hike that one reviewer felt was "just too high for what you're getting," especially as they observed "no noticeable improvements to justify the increase." This price point relative to the perceived value is a critical consideration for budget-conscious travelers.
Another area of concern revolves around the management and the overall upkeep of the park. One reviewer expressed that the owner, while friendly, seems to have "faded" in his interest in maintaining the park, leading to visible "signs of neglect." This perceived lack of care is described as "disappointing" given the higher prices. This suggests a potential disconnect between the cost of staying at the park and the level of maintenance and attention to detail.
Further complicating matters are reported issues within the office. The staff is described as "disorganized," with one specific instance of an employee refusing to use a new computer system, resulting in a chaotic dual record-keeping system (electronic and paper). This disorganization has reportedly led to "mistakes like double bookings and errors in billing, including problems with electric charges." Such administrative issues can create significant frustration and financial discrepancies for guests.
There is also reported confusion regarding the availability of different types of RV sites. While the park map allegedly indicates the presence of more 50-amp sites, the reality is that these are primarily "reserved for permanent residents," leaving only 30-amp sites available for other visitors. This discrepancy between the advertised and actual availability of site types could be problematic for RVs requiring higher amperage.
Adding to the mixed feelings about Lost Lake RV Park are mentions of "unsettling incidents" that occurred during one reviewer's stays. These included a car crash possibly related to drugs and the unexpected death of a middle-aged man. Additionally, the reviewer noted "strange gatherings of people in the parking lot" with an "odd vibe," though the purpose of these gatherings was unclear. While these incidents may be isolated, they contribute to a sense of unease for some visitors.
Despite these concerns, another reviewer shared a very positive experience, describing the atmosphere as "wonderful" and extending their two-day stay to three. They praised the "immaculate" pool area and the nature trail located across the street, indicating that the park does offer appealing recreational opportunities. This contrasting positive feedback suggests that while some guests have encountered issues, others have had enjoyable stays, potentially highlighting inconsistencies in the park's management or the experiences of different visitors.
In conclusion, Lost Lake RV Park LLC in Apopka, FL, offers a potentially peaceful setting with clean bathrooms, ample laundry facilities, a well-maintained pool with a scenic lake view, and a responsive maintenance staff. However, prospective visitors should be aware of reported significant price increases without corresponding improvements, concerns about the owner's apparent disinterest in maintenance, disorganization within the office leading to billing errors and double bookings, limited availability of 50-amp sites, and mentions of unsettling incidents. While some guests have had positive experiences, the recurring themes of rising costs and declining management attention warrant careful consideration for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Apopka area. It is recommended to contact the park directly at (407) 886-1996 to inquire about current rates, site availability, and to seek clarification on the reported issues before making a reservation.

Lost Lake RV Park LLC Reviews
I’ve had the opportunity to stay at Lost Lake RV Park on three separate occasions now, and I have mixed feelings about it. Let me start with the positives: the park is generally quiet and offers a peaceful, intimate atmosphere. The bathrooms are always clean, which is a big plus, and there's plenty of laundry facilities. The pool is well-maintained and a great place to relax, especially with the scenic view of the lake. It's also nice to see a pair of cranes that live on the property, adding a touch of wildlife to the peaceful setting. The maintenance staff is one of the best features of the park. They are professional, quick to respond, and attentive to resolving any issues. The owner is friendly, but unfortunately, his interest in maintaining the park seems to have faded, and I think that’s taking a toll on the overall experience. The park has definitely started to show signs of neglect, which is disappointing considering the higher prices. Now, the not-so-good aspects: The price for a 30-amp site has skyrocketed from $650 to $800 a month, and frankly, that’s just too high for what you're getting. There have been no noticeable improvements to justify the hike. The owner seems ready to sell, and it feels like he's given up on making any more improvements. This lack of care is evident, especially with the interpersonal issues in the office. The staff seems disorganized, with one woman refusing to use the new computer system, resulting in chaos and two separate sets of books – one electronic and one on paper. This has led to mistakes like double bookings and errors in billing, including problems with electric charges. There’s also some confusion about the available sites. According to the park map, there should be more 50-amp sites available, but in reality, these are reserved for permanent residents, and only 30-amp sites are offered.Lastly, while the park is mostly quiet, there have been some unsettling incidents during my stays. One involved a man crashing his car in what seemed to be a drug-related situation, and another involved a man in his 40s passing away unexpectedly. Additionally, there are strange gatherings of people in the parking lot, though I’m not sure what they're for, which adds to the overall odd vibe of the park.Lost Lake RV Park has a lot of potential, but with the recent price increases and lack of proper management, it feels like it’s heading in the wrong direction. The maintenance staff and the setting are great, but the owner’s apparent disinterest and the office chaos make it hard to recommend at this price point.
Dec 15, 2024 · Nicki DrakeWe loved it here. Last minute reservation and when we were supposed to stay just for two days ended into three because of the wonderful atmosphere. The pool area was immaculate as well as the nature trail just across the the street! Will surely return there again 10/10. 💖
Jan 05, 2025 · Natalia MilI have stayed at this RV park twice. I won't again. While the owner is very nice, the park is in disarray. Almost all the slabs are very old and broken. There's seems to always be confusion about sites. There are strange people gathering in the parking lot at times. They are not from the park. The road outside the park is extremely busy and there are no stoplights fir miles between. I've sat 20 min trying to get out.
Dec 15, 2024 · Falcongirl ToYouWe loved staying here. We were full time. The only downside is we couldn’t stay longer than 6 months. Barbara was always so sweet to us and our daughters (especially our baby girl). They made us feel welcome. We made great friends with our neighbors as well. Everyone was kind and helpful if we needed help with the RV. We will miss staying there! On another note the bathrooms/showers were always clean!
Aug 11, 2024 · Ashley DelgadoI suggest driving by before you stay. The pictures on the website are misleading. Also there are alot of very old rvs in bad shape there. They charge you up front for monthly stays and dont refund your money if you change your mind or your rv doesn't fit where they put you. (Nobody let us know anyway). We are full time RVers and most RV parks don't operate this way.
