Cherokee Creek RV Resort Introduce
When seeking "RV parks near me" in the Kaufman, Texas area, Cherokee Creek RV Resort, located at 9850 Co Rd 4116, Kaufman, TX 75142, USA, presents itself as a destination with both positive and negative feedback from recent visitors. To provide an objective introduction for local users, it's essential to consider all available information, including the contrasting experiences shared in the customer reviews.
Regarding the environment of Cherokee Creek RV Resort, one review paints a picture of a "good place to be" that is "quiet." This suggests that the resort offers a peaceful setting, potentially away from the noise of more urban areas. The spaciousness of the lots is also highlighted as a positive environmental feature, with the reviewer noting that the lots are "big" and not "stacked on top of each other" like some other parks in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. This implies that guests can expect more personal space and a less crowded camping experience. However, it is crucial to juxtapose this with another review detailing a deeply concerning incident involving theft from an RV and an allegedly negative interaction with the park owner. This review describes an environment where a tenant purportedly stole items, including human ashes, from a guest's RV, and the subsequent interaction with the owner is portrayed as confrontational and unsupportive of the victim. This starkly contrasting account introduces a significant element of caution regarding the overall security and management approach within the park.
In terms of services, the positive review mentions "clean laundry and showers," indicating that these essential facilities are well-maintained and contribute positively to the guest experience. The presence of a "nice dog park" is also noted, which is a significant amenity for RV travelers with pets, suggesting that Cherokee Creek RV Resort caters to pet owners. However, the negative review does not comment on the general services but focuses on the alleged lack of support and protection for a victim of theft within the park. It is important for potential guests to inquire directly about the full range of services offered, such as:
- Availability of full hookups (water, electricity, sewer) at each site.
- Electrical service amperage (e.g., 30 or 50 amp).
- Wi-Fi access for guests.
- Garbage disposal facilities.
- Restroom and shower facilities (as mentioned in the positive review).
- Laundry facilities (as mentioned in the positive review).
- Specifics about the dog park (size, fencing, rules).
- Any recreational areas or community spaces.
- Security measures in place within the park.
Obtaining detailed information about these services directly from Cherokee Creek RV Resort will help potential guests form a comprehensive understanding of what is available.
The features of Cherokee Creek RV Resort, as gleaned from the reviews, include both positive aspects and potential areas of concern. A significant positive feature is the management, described by one reviewer as making guests feel "welcomed." This suggests a friendly and hospitable atmosphere created by the park's staff. The spacious lots, as previously mentioned, are another notable feature that distinguishes the park from more crowded options in the region. The provision of a clean laundry and shower area, along with a dedicated dog park, further enhances the appeal for a broad range of RV travelers. However, the serious allegations in the negative review raise concerns about the park's approach to security and conflict resolution. The reviewer's account of the owner's reaction to a reported theft and the alleged protection of a tenant accused of stealing are significant points that potential guests should consider. While this may be an isolated incident, it underscores the importance of personal security and the potential for varied management responses in challenging situations. It is advisable for prospective guests to inquire about the park's security protocols and its policies regarding tenant disputes or criminal activities.

In conclusion, Cherokee Creek RV Resort in Kaufman, Texas, offers a seemingly quiet environment with spacious lots, clean amenities, and a welcoming management, as highlighted by one positive review. The presence of a nice dog park is also a significant advantage for pet owners. However, a contrasting negative review details a serious incident of theft and an allegedly unsupportive response from the park owner. This discrepancy in experiences suggests that while many guests may find the resort a "good place to be," potential visitors should be aware of the reported security concerns and consider them when making their decision. It is strongly recommended that interested individuals contact Cherokee Creek RV Resort directly to inquire about their security measures, policies regarding theft or tenant disputes, and to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the services and features offered. By considering both the positive and negative feedback and seeking further clarification from the park management, local users can make an informed choice about whether Cherokee Creek RV Resort meets their needs for an "RV park near me" in Kaufman, Texas.

Cherokee Creek RV Resort Reviews
I went there to get my husband brother's ashes because a tenant had stolen from my RV. Now the owner of this park started screaming , got in my face with her phone and told me to get off her property. Instead of listening to a victim. She protects a thief in her park. Make sure you keep things locked up. You wouldn't things stolen from you. Especially your brother in law ashes. All I want is my brother in-law home safe. I thought that was very not appropriate for someone in charge of that park. She could have calmly sat me down to discuss this issue. That man that still lives on that property purposely stole came to my RV while I was not home and took things. My tools. Pressure washer and ashes. Who goes and steals ashes. If that was so easy for him no telling what he could do while you are not home. If that is the kind of tenant you want around a liar and thief I wouldn't stay there.
Jan 31, 2025 · Joanne BunchGood place to be. Quiet. Management makes you feel welcomed. Clean laundry and showers. Nice dog park. Big lots not like other parks around dfw that are stacked on top of each other
Feb 05, 2025 · Nick RobertsonUpdating: We stayed here for 4 months and enjoyed our visit. The biggest down side (which we wish we would have known before choosing this place) the wifi issues. The first few weeks we were here they had wifi for the guests, then one day there was no wifi at all, period. This was frustrating because on the web site and when we signed the paperwork wifi was included, when they removed the wifi no price deductions on monthly rate and no notice of it being removed. Also, the cell service is almost obsolete that far out of town, dropping calls, no connections, no Hotspot. Beautiful area, but definitely inconvenient if you want to stay in contact with people.Something to also notice, there is zero tree coverage and it HOT, HOT, HOT in Texas. We have been here alittle over a week, and intend on staying a few months for work. The spots are a nice size and most have a grass patch infont for pets/kids/whatever. The laundry facilities are well kept, there's also 2 bathrooms with showers... and a vending machine. The Resort also has an AWESOME park, well kept, no bugs/bees/spider nests, and it's sturdy so older kids (and adults)can play too. The owners are kind and down to earth, neighbors are polite. They are constantly working on the campground making improvements. They do allow pets as long as you clean up after them. The location is also nice, on the outskirts of town. Spots have rock pads that seem to be pretty level. Each spot also has its own power box.My only issue: as a fulltimer I only rent spots with WIFI, especially when I know cell service won't be best. The wifi here is incredibly unreliable for working or even using to watch a movie. Our spot is closest to the internet box and it still constantly disconnects or is unable to connect at all. Our toddler loves her morning shows and I use the internet for work, I've been having to go into town to download and send off work stuff. But, besides the lack wifi, I really enjoy it here and would come back in the future if the internet is better.
Feb 10, 2023 · Brandi MarshThe family who runs this park are incredible! They’re responsive to you needs, they are very friendly. They are continually upgrading things. The RV park is a few miles off the highway, so there is no highway noise. There’s laundry, showers, vending machines, ice, propane, nice play area for the kids, mail room, two fenced pet areas, and a lake to walk to on the property. No drugs, no crime, no riffraff, all families and working people.Beautiful views of the lake and pasture on evening walks.Edit: We LOVE that there’s zero fear of a branch or tree falling on our RV, since RVs can be easily crushed. We also use our own Wi-Fi, called a HomeFi, you can take it with you in your purse or back pack!
Apr 11, 2023 · Kat BosI stayed here for a little over 18 months and had no issues with the park. The shower / laundry room is a decent size and well maintained. The vending machine did come in handy a couple of times! The lot sizes are huge and easily accessible. The only negative comment would be the lack of shade, my awning faced east so I got a lot of sunshine during the day and evening. The owners are so helpful and accommodating.I would recommend that you stay here for a night, a week or a few months.
