Circle RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to Circle RV Resort, located at 1835 E Main St in El Cajon, California. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the San Diego area, Circle RV Resort offers a location with a mix of positive attributes and potential drawbacks, as indicated by recent customer feedback. You can reach them at (619) 768-1090 (local) or +1 619-768-1090 (mobile) for inquiries.
According to one reviewer, Circle RV Resort is described as a "great RV campground in San Diego area" that accommodates both full-time residents and transient visitors, emphasizing that all are treated with respect and friendliness. This suggests a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere within the park. The reviewer also highlights the presence of "a lot of trees and beautiful grounds," indicating a potentially pleasant and aesthetically appealing environment. Furthermore, the bathrooms are noted as being "updated," which is a significant plus for comfort and hygiene. The park is also described as quiet with tidy sites, suggesting a well-maintained and peaceful living environment.
A significant convenience mentioned is the proximity of "several Restaurants within walking distance," offering residents and visitors easy access to dining options without needing to drive. The rates are also considered "reasonable compared to RV parks in San Diego city limits," which could make Circle RV Resort an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers or long-term residents seeking value outside the more expensive urban areas.
However, this positive review also points out a notable drawback: "freeway noise close by." This is an important consideration for those sensitive to noise, as it could impact the tranquility of the park, especially for sites located closer to the interstate.
In contrast, another reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with their experience at Circle RV Resort, disputing the "resort" designation. This reviewer cites a high monthly rate of "almost 1800 a month" and an additional "over 400 a month on power," which they consider excessive compared to the utility costs of a larger house. The proximity to the interstate is also mentioned as a negative aspect by this reviewer, echoing the concern raised in the positive review regarding freeway noise.
Furthermore, this reviewer alleges discrepancies between the park map, the rate paid, and the assigned spot, implying potential issues with transparency or fairness in site allocation and pricing. They also mention living under a tree that sheds, suggesting potential maintenance or landscaping issues affecting individual sites. The strong language used in this review, including terms like "slum lord," indicates a high level of dissatisfaction and frustration with the management and living conditions.
Considering both perspectives, Circle RV Resort appears to offer some appealing features, such as updated facilities, a potentially friendly community, proximity to dining, and relatively reasonable rates compared to central San Diego. The presence of "a lot of trees and beautiful grounds" also suggests an effort to create an attractive environment. These aspects could be particularly attractive to those seeking a longer-term stay outside the immediate city limits.
However, the significant concerns raised by the second reviewer regarding high costs (monthly rent and utilities), freeway noise, potential issues with site allocation, and maintenance aspects cannot be ignored. These points highlight the importance for prospective residents or visitors to thoroughly investigate the current pricing structure, the exact location of their assigned site relative to the freeway and any shedding trees, and the park's policies on utility billing.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Circle RV Resort presents a mixed picture. The positive aspects mentioned by one reviewer might make it a viable option, especially for those prioritizing community, updated amenities, and access to nearby restaurants, and who are less sensitive to freeway noise. The potentially more reasonable rates compared to San Diego city could also be a significant factor for budget-conscious individuals.
However, the negative experiences detailed by the other reviewer serve as a strong caution. The alleged high monthly costs, excessive utility charges, and issues with site location and maintenance could be significant deterrents. The mention of potential legal action indicates a high level of unresolved dissatisfaction.
Given this contrasting feedback, it is crucial for anyone considering Circle RV Resort for either short-term or long-term stays to conduct their own due diligence. This should include contacting the park directly to verify current rates and utility policies, inquiring about site availability and location relative to the freeway, and potentially visiting the park to assess the environment and noise levels firsthand. Reading more recent reviews from various sources might also provide a more current and balanced perspective on the park's conditions and management practices.
In conclusion, Circle RV Resort in El Cajon offers a location with some attractive features, including updated bathrooms, a potentially friendly atmosphere, and convenient access to restaurants, with rates that may be competitive with those in San Diego city. However, prospective guests must also be aware of the significant concerns raised by at least one reviewer regarding high costs, freeway noise, and other potential issues. A thorough personal investigation is strongly recommended to determine if Circle RV Resort meets individual needs and expectations.

Circle RV Resort Reviews
Circle RV is a great RV campground in San Diego area—it accommodates full time residents as well as transients and all are treated with respect and friendliness. It has a lot of trees and beautiful grounds. Bathrooms are updated. People were quiet and sites were tidy. Several Restaurants within walking distance. Rates are reasonable compared to RV parks in San Diego city limits. Only drawback is freeway noise close by. A great stop on our way to Mexico!
Apr 21, 2025 · Gail GunstoneThis RV “resort” isn’t an actual resort. Almost 1800 a month is ridiculous. Paying over 400 a month on power is stupidity. I paid less on a 3200sqft house. Next I am right next to the interstate. 3rd my I have screen shots of the park map and what i pay and the spot that i am in is stupid. Going to have law suite central if there are repercussions to my review. I am done being taken advantage of with these people. I live under a tree that sheds. Resort my ass, slum lord is more like it.
Feb 12, 2025 · Derek SimpkinsLoved the pool and got tub! Sites are nice and level, but a bit tight. The road noise from both sides is not controllable by Circle RV, but should be aware of it when booking there. Otherwise, we had a great stay at Circle RV!
Jan 10, 2025 · Donald LeonardCircle is a great little weekend getaway, the spaces are tight, but I was able to easily park a 36" 5th wheel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location has easy access on and off the freeway. You are close enough to all the attractions of San Diego, yet far enough out that you don't feel the big city crunch. There is a little road noise, but not the point that it becomes annoying. I would recommend resort, I'm certain I will stay again.
Feb 17, 2025 · Doug AdamsGotta say if you’re gonna stay here, really watch your back. Management will come at you for almost everything! And you’ll have a couple sneaky shady neighbors!! Loved the place for a while until we started having problems for no reason! We pay rent on time and get overcharged for electricity!
