City View Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Welcome to City View Manufactured Home Community, located at 4303 75th St in Kenosha, Wisconsin. For local users browsing 'RV parks near me' with an eye towards a more permanent residential setting, City View offers a community of manufactured homes. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the community based on recent feedback from residents available online.
Situated in Kenosha, City View Manufactured Home Community benefits from its location within a larger urban area, offering residents access to the amenities and services of the city. Kenosha provides a blend of industrial and residential areas, with proximity to Lake Michigan and various commercial and recreational opportunities. The specific environment within City View is not detailed in terms of landscaping or on-site green spaces, but its location within Kenosha suggests access to city-based conveniences.
Based on the available reviews, the experience of living at City View Manufactured Home Community appears to be varied. One resident who moved in recently shared a detailed account of several maintenance-related issues encountered shortly after moving in. These included soft spots in the flooring, an unlevel trailer, inadequate heat tape, a lack of insulation, and potential issues with window frames (described as possibly being made of a cardboard-like material and separating). The resident expressed initial confidence in the property manager, Trish, based on pre-move-in interactions but reported ongoing difficulties in getting these issues fully resolved, despite some initial repair efforts for the heat tape and plumbing.
This detailed review highlights the importance for prospective residents to thoroughly inspect any potential home and to have a clear understanding of the condition of the property and the community's responsiveness to maintenance requests. The issues reported, such as inadequate insulation and heating, are particularly concerning for those moving in during colder months in Wisconsin.
On the other hand, another resident provided a positive review specifically targeting the maintenance man at City View. This review describes the maintenance individual as "very kind and helpful" and highlights their role in organizing community activities and assisting senior residents with the food pantry. This positive feedback also mentions prompt and helpful responses to maintenance requests. This contrasting view suggests that residents may have different experiences with the community's maintenance services, or that certain individuals within the maintenance team are particularly appreciated.
The positive review also touches upon community aspects, mentioning "fun activities for the community to enjoy" and the maintenance man's involvement in these. This indicates that City View may offer some level of community engagement and social opportunities for its residents. The review also references a situation involving an eviction due to disruptive behavior, suggesting that the community management takes steps to address issues that affect the overall living environment for other residents.
Features of City View Manufactured Home Community, beyond the individual manufactured homes themselves, are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. However, the mention of a maintenance man and an office suggests on-site management and maintenance services are available. The community may also offer basic infrastructure such as roads, utilities (water, electricity, sewage), and possibly common areas, although these are not explicitly described.
Promotional information for City View Manufactured Home Community is not included in the provided data. Therefore, details about any special offers, incentives for new residents, or specific selling points being emphasized by the management are unavailable. Local users interested in learning about any current promotions should contact the community directly at (262) 694-6464 or +1 262-694-6464.
In conclusion, City View Manufactured Home Community in Kenosha, WI, presents a mixed picture based on the available resident reviews. While one review praises the kindness and helpfulness of the maintenance staff and mentions community activities, another detailed account raises significant concerns about the condition of a specific home upon move-in and the responsiveness to addressing critical maintenance issues, particularly related to heating, insulation, and structural integrity. Prospective residents should be aware of these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision.
For local users considering City View as a potential long-term residential option within the 'RV parks near me' category (interpreted here as a search for manufactured home communities), it is strongly recommended to contact the management directly to inquire about current availability, lot rents, community rules and regulations, and the process for property inspection and maintenance requests. Speaking with current residents, if possible, could also provide additional perspectives on the living experience at City View Manufactured Home Community. Understanding both the positive aspects highlighted by some residents and the challenges reported by others will be crucial in making an informed decision.

City View Manufactured Home Community Reviews
I moved in 12/8/23. Prior to moving in Trish was kind enough to take time out of her very busy schedule, as she pointed out, to do a quick showing. Before move in I did have another very quick walk through, then set things in motion for purchase and moving.Since winter was fast approaching I specifically asked her about heat tape and insulation. She assured me it was insulated, had new heat tape and would be warm. During the walk through there was a soft spot in the floor. She stated she had the floor repaired and would talk to them, also installed some new windows, etc.The trailer is also unlevel.Towards the back of the trailer, the rooms slope to the side, which affects the doors opening or closing based on their location in the rooms. After moving in, I continue to have soft spots throughout the entire place, some that crack when I walk so I contacted Trish and she had the contractor, I was informed the company is called Oasis, who did the work come by. He said when they installed the floor, they did not use enough screws to secure it and he would talk to his boss. I have heard nothing further. Because of the unlevel portion Trish had an inspection done. I also hired the same company, S&R Mobile Home Repair, to inspect and take pictures for me since they were going to be there and I wanted to make sure I had a report of my own. (prior to moving in I did not have the ability to get an inspection done and based on the information I received from Trish as well as the two brief walk throughs, I felt confident everything would be ok. I like Trish and thought of her as a no-nonsense kind of person who gets things done). They discovered the heat tape does not cover the entire pipe, there is NO insulation underneath but I am gifted with construction debris, presumably from the window replacement phase, which needs to be removed.I have brought all of this to Trishes attention and have been requesting updates and have received replies such as "I know waiting is difficult for you, it is for me too" and "I am working on it", meanwhile, with the thermostat set at 73 degrees, I woke up this morning to a frigid 67 degrees, which went down to 66 but the sun is out and I have an electric heater going so the temp is back to 70. I have ice on the INSIDE of my windows and even with dribbling the faucets, per Trishes suggestion, the bathroom faucet plumbing is frozen so I have heavier streams of water coming out of the tub and kitchen faucets in hopes of avoiding the same thing happening there. I work during the day and can not run the electric heater while not at home which leaves my pet birds at the mercy of whatever temperature it reaches when I am not there. At this point I am trying to find out what my options are. Possibly going to consumer protection agency or the BBB, which means taking time off work, and not sure where else.1/16/23 two men from Oasis came by this afternoon and worked late, 900 ish, in the freezing cold to replace the heat tape and get the water flowing in the bathroom sink faucet. I am thankful to them for doing this and grateful to have this done. When I asked about the insulation The supervisor stated they could not repair the floor or add insulation because it was too cold. Last night I added plastic to 3 of the 6 livingroom windows. The ice had thawed quit a bit, in this location, and I can see the edges of the window got soaked when it thawed and parts of the frame is separating. It looks like a cardboard material where it should have wood frames.. Do they make window frames out of cardboard? It is literally peeling away.UPDATE, Oasis was supposed to be here yesterday to repair the floor, remove the debris and add the insulation. They were also going to check out the windows. They never showed.
Jan 27, 2024 · Roxanne McGeheeI just want to respond to a review that I read that targets the maintenance man at City View. That post is completely false.....the maintenance man is very kind and helpful....he also sets up all of the fun activities for the community to enjoy and he also passes out the boxes from the food pantry to all of the seniors. Every time that we have called the office or even stopped him in his truck to tell him that we need something done he has always helped and always does his job.....and I see other residents stop him in his truck and he always takes the time to talk to them.....I've never seen him driving the work truck under the influence or doing anything else that he is not suppose to be doing. I do know that he is thought of very highly at Ciry View and really takes pride in his work and the residents really enjoy him working there. I also know that when ppl live with family in their trailer in City View and cause a lot of problems including trying to attack ppl in public multiple times and are given warnings from the office, the police and court.....while also being arrested on other charges.. ....instead of thinking about the parents and moving out....the household gets evicted....pretty selfish if you ask me......so then ppl get petty and want to slander a good person.....we see what goes on around City View......maybe you should grow up and be the adults that you are.
Sep 20, 2023 · Midnight AngelI went to see an older mobile home that's for sale. It a senior community for 55+ which seemed quiet at the time of my visit and a quiet place is what I'm looking for.I've been waiting to find a home I like to purchase, but your website has been down for months and you can't see the inside of homes. A customer isn't going to schedule a tour, if they can't see the inside of the homes you're selling.
May 29, 2022 · A PI bought a 1970 mobile home in August for cheap it wasn't livable. I spent 1000s fixing and repairing in October I had a stroke due to blood clot in my brain. Well boyfriend came help me out they denied his application and tried get ahold of management in the hospital with no response now facing eviction in court today. Terrible.
Mar 28, 2022 · Sharon PlutaMy friend has been trying to move into there since August of 2021. The office kept saying you can move in September then I October than November he still has not been able to get in. You call the office and they do not return your calls. They finally moved his manufactured home to his lot a week and a half ago and now here we sit again waiting and waiting and waiting. I don't know if anyone works in the office anymore because she's never there doesn't return phone calls and the note on the door says office is closed if you need something call the maintenance department and they don't know anything either. I can't believe that they can run a place like this it's just so disorientated and no one knows anything and no one tells you anything that this it could be a very nice place but you just can't get ahold of anybody!
