Clarkston Lakes MHC Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" and considering long-term stay options in the Village of Clarkston, Michigan? Clarkston Lakes MHC, located at 4260 Dogwood Blvd, Village of Clarkston, MI 48348, USA, presents itself as a mobile home park that might be of interest. While primarily a mobile home community, it's important for those seeking RV parks to understand the nature of this property based on available information.
Clarkston Lakes MHC can be contacted via phone at (248) 628-4864 or mobile phone at +1 248-628-4864. This contact information allows potential residents to inquire about the possibility of accommodating RVs for extended periods, although it's crucial to verify their current policies and availability directly.
To provide a comprehensive and objective introduction, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by individuals who have resided within Clarkston Lakes MHC. Several reviews offer insights into the environment, services, and features of this community from a resident's perspective. These firsthand accounts, while focused on mobile home living, can offer valuable context for anyone considering a long-term stay in their RV.
One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction, advising against purchasing a mobile home at Clarkston Lakes or any property associated with Quality Homes in Oakland County, Michigan. The primary concern highlighted is the management. This resident describes a situation where they pay for lawn maintenance on their lot but received a violation notice for not mowing grass beyond their designated area, which they do not own or use. The review portrays the manager as exerting excessive control and alleges that complaints are not addressed by upper management, potentially leading to retaliatory actions. The reviewer praises Susanne in the office for her professionalism, suggesting a discrepancy in management styles within the community. A strong recommendation is made to have all agreements clearly defined in writing and reviewed by a lawyer.
Another resident shares a similarly negative experience over a five-year period. Recurring water shut-offs for "emergency repairs," sometimes multiple times a month, are reported, leading to the need for boiling water for extended periods. Issues with water quality, including staining from iron and other metals, are mentioned. Furthermore, inconsistent water pressure, dropping to a trickle several days a week, is cited as a problem. The review also criticizes the strict enforcement of lawn cutting regulations, which are perceived as unreasonable during harsh weather conditions and potentially used to levy unwarranted fines. This resident claims that site rent has increased without any corresponding improvement in services. Management is described as aloof and unresponsive to residents' concerns, prioritizing strict rule enforcement over resident well-being, drawing a negative comparison to a Homeowners Association (HOA).
Considering these reviews, it's important for individuals seeking "RV parks near me" and considering Clarkston Lakes MHC for a long-term stay to approach with caution and conduct thorough due diligence. While the park physically exists and offers a location in the Village of Clarkston, the feedback regarding management practices, infrastructure reliability (specifically water), and rule enforcement raises significant concerns.
Potential features of a mobile home park like Clarkston Lakes MHC might typically include:
- Individual lots for homes, which could potentially accommodate RVs on a long-term basis, subject to park approval and size restrictions.
- Basic utility hookups such as water, electricity, and sewer at each lot. However, the reliability of the water supply, as indicated by the reviews, should be a key area of inquiry.
- Roads and pathways within the community for vehicle and pedestrian access.
- Potentially shared amenities such as a community center, laundry facilities, or recreational areas. The availability and condition of such amenities at Clarkston Lakes MHC are not detailed in the provided information but would be important to ascertain.
- Maintenance of common areas, although one review suggests inconsistencies in lawn care expectations and enforcement.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Therefore, any potential promotional offers or specific services tailored to RVs would need to be obtained directly from the management. It would be prudent to inquire about:
- Availability of RV lots and any size restrictions.
- Monthly or long-term rates for RV stays, including all applicable fees.
- Policies regarding RV maintenance, hookups, and any specific regulations for RV residents.
- The current status and reliability of the water system.
- The process for addressing resident concerns and maintenance requests.
In conclusion, while Clarkston Lakes MHC is located in the Village of Clarkston, MI, and may physically accommodate long-term stays, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider the experiences shared by current residents. The reviews highlight significant concerns regarding management, water service reliability, and rule enforcement. It is strongly recommended to contact the management directly, ask detailed questions, and potentially visit the property to assess its suitability based on your individual needs and expectations. Obtaining a clear, written agreement outlining all terms and conditions, as advised by one reviewer, would be a crucial step before committing to a long-term stay at Clarkston Lakes MHC.

Clarkston Lakes MHC Reviews
I would not advise you buy any mobileHome at Clarkston Lakes or really any home involved with Quality Homes in Oakland County Michigan. There are a laundry list of reasons. Main is management! We have a lot our home sit on which willnever be ours to own, we accepted that. Our lot ends a mowers pass behind our shed. Clarkston Lakes Manager has given us a notice of violation for not mowing their grass which is from behind our shed to fence line at Sashabaw. This isn’t ours to use so not ours to maintain. We PAY to have our lawn maintained as we are both disabled.Manager here uses this place as her own personal control ring. In other words, if you aren’t her friend or kissing her butt you have problems. True fact, ask many residents here. This is only One of so many more Tyrant type controlsBeing used at Clarkston Lakes.Never Is the Manager in office.. we always get Susanne who is just a wonderful person and very professional! ( she should be the manager).Nobody in upper management over those running the properties seem to do a Thing about our complaints Or care. Once management is reported she then takes it out in any manner she can to get said complaints at evicted…FACT!So my advise get EVERYTHING Clearly Defined and in Writing!!! Have a lawyer check over All manner of paperwork.
May 23, 2024 · A MelhusAbsolute nightmare. Nearly every single month that I've lived here for the last 5 years, the water needs to be shut off for "emergency repairs" sometimes multiple times per month and then requires boiling for multiple days. White shirts and sheets are ruined because they can't provide clean water, as it's loaded with iron and other metals that stain. Several days per week, for a few hours, the water slows to a near trickle. They enforce lawn cutting to the point that it can't survive hot dry summers or cold freezing fall/winter. They have absolutely no idea about horticulture, and I honestly believe they simply do this to steal $50-$75/week from people who may not be able to mow in the 3 days they give you to do it after giving you a violation you absolutely do not deserve. Do not live here. They will continue to increase site rent, but provide you absolutely nothing in return. Management is aloof and doesn't care about the residents. They only care about enforcing draconian rules. Worse than an HOA. They stand high on their towers of supremacy and lord their will over the residents who get no say in anything.
Feb 14, 2023 · Brian FreytagI just purchased a home here in Clarkston Lakes. I worked with the property manager, Stephanie and I can’t say how much I appreciated her during the purchase. Stephanie and the whole staff at Clarkston lakes have been nothing but helpful and professional. Susan answering the phone and all my questions with a smile. I love my new home and I hope to be here for a long time! Thank you Clarkston Lakes MHC.
Sep 08, 2023 · Amy MedinaThis place is a joke. Moved on here a yr ago. And they weresuppose to fix what was wrong and never did. But they are quick to give out a violation for the lawn even tho it was just mowed.smh. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!! I'm sorry I did.
Jul 03, 2024 · DebiProperty management blows. Instead of reminding everyone that spring cleaning needs to start they put over 190 violation letters on the doors of people's trailers. It's not even may and it was 28 degrees last night.
