Clifton RV Park, Clifton TX Introduce
For local users and travelers exploring "RV parks near me" in the Clifton, Texas area, Clifton RV Park, located at 3701 Hwy 6, Clifton, TX 76634, stands out as a highly recommended destination. With contact numbers (254) 978-1926 and +1 254-978-1926, connecting with this RV park to inquire about availability and specific needs is straightforward. Based on the enthusiastic feedback from recent visitors, Clifton RV Park offers a combination of tranquility, spaciousness, thoughtful amenities, and exceptionally welcoming owners, making it an ideal choice for a variety of RV travelers.
One of the most consistently praised aspects of Clifton RV Park is its peaceful environment. One reviewer described it as "extremely quiet," a significant benefit for those seeking a restful and relaxing stay away from the noise of highways or crowded areas. This tranquility contributes to a serene atmosphere, allowing guests to fully unwind and enjoy their time in Clifton.
The layout of the park has also been positively noted, with one guest stating it is "very well laid out." This suggests that the sites are well-positioned, likely offering ease of access and a sense of order that enhances the overall experience of navigating and setting up within the park. A well-thought-out layout can significantly reduce the stress often associated with maneuvering large RVs and finding the right spot.
A particularly significant advantage for those traveling in larger recreational vehicles is the availability of exceptionally spacious sites. One reviewer with a "big rig" highlighted the challenges they often face with parking and site sizes but were delighted to be assigned a "137' pull-through spot!" They emphasized that this was "the largest we've had in over 2 years' full-time traveling," underscoring the rarity and value of such generously sized sites. For local users who own or frequently host friends with large RVs, this feature makes Clifton RV Park a standout option among "RV parks near me."
The amenities provided at the sites are also noteworthy. The mention of "2 sewer hookups, 30/50 amp and water on the gravel site" indicates full hookup capabilities, catering to the needs of modern RVs. The gravel sites themselves are functional and common in RV parks, offering a stable base. Additionally, the information that "it appears they can refill propane" is a valuable service for RVers, saving them the hassle of finding separate propane refill stations.
The owners of Clifton RV Park have clearly made an effort to enhance the aesthetic and recreational aspects of the park. The presence of a "water feature" adds a touch of visual appeal and can contribute to a relaxing ambiance. For those looking for outdoor activities, the "horseshoe pits" offer a fun and engaging way to spend time. The inclusion of "several vintage decorations" suggests a unique and charming character to the park, setting it apart from more generic RV facilities. Furthermore, the park provides "plenty of space to walk the pup," making it a pet-friendly environment, which is a significant consideration for many RV travelers.
The welcoming nature of the owners is another recurring positive theme. The reviewer who arrived earlier than expected was greeted as if they were "doing them a favor anyway," highlighting a level of hospitality that goes above and beyond. The owners' understanding of the challenges faced by RVers, stemming from their own experience as RV owners, is a significant asset. This empathy likely translates into a more accommodating and supportive environment for their guests, as evidenced by their assignment of the exceptionally large pull-through spot.
The reviewer who stayed for three nights expressed regret at not booking for a longer duration, stating, "My only negative is I reserved 3 nights; I should have made it a week!" This strong endorsement speaks volumes about the positive experience they had and their desire to have stayed longer, suggesting that Clifton RV Park offers a truly enjoyable and comfortable environment.
While one reviewer noted that newly planted grass was not yet visible due to a "severe drought," this is an environmental factor beyond the park's immediate control and indicates an effort towards landscaping and improving the grounds over time. The existing features, such as the water feature and vintage decorations, already contribute to the park's appeal.
Finally, the fact that the owners provided information about "several sites to visit in the area" demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the overall guest experience by encouraging exploration of the local attractions. This local knowledge can be invaluable for visitors looking to make the most of their time in Clifton and the surrounding region.
Considering all the positive feedback, Clifton RV Park offers a compelling package for those searching for "RV parks near me" in Clifton, Texas. Its key features include:

Extremely quiet very well laid out I would stay there if I need to do
May 07, 2025 · John CantrellWe arrived here earlier than we expected, but were welcomed as if we were doing them a favor anyway. We have a big rig which often makes our parking and stays challenging. The owners also RV and fully understand the challenges. We were assigned a 137' pull-through spot! It has to be the largest we've had in over 2 years' full-time traveling! There are 2 sewer hookups, 30/50 amp and water on the gravel site. It appears they can refill propane. They've planted grass, but the severe drought is not allowing it to appear. We do have a water feature, horseshoe pits, several vintage decorations and plenty of space to walk the pup. We were also told of several sites to visit in the area. My only negative is I reserved 3 nights; I should have made it a week!
Apr 19, 2022 · Lee TidlerGreat park. Quiet. Good mix of really nice long term and short term guests. Great and welcoming owner. Personal attention when you need it. Guaranteed us to have at least overflow space when we called and asked just before the Eclipse, but stayed in touch and moved us to the first hookups to come available. Steve called with that good news just an hour before our arrival. Wonderful four day stay.

Sep 17, 2022 · Terri WardWe stayed here for 6 months and loved everything about it. Quiet, safe and clean. The owner, Steve, is easy to reach and extremely accommodating. Vernon and Patty were kind and always welcoming when we interacted. For the high quality service and grounds, the price was unbeatable. We hope to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend
