Closed Introduce
The mobile home park identified as "Closed," located at 1100 Sleepy Hollow Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28311, USA, operates as a residential community for manufactured homes. While categorized under "RV Parks Near Me," it functions primarily as a long-term living solution rather than a temporary campground for recreational vehicles. This introduction provides an objective overview of "Closed" Mobile Home Park, based on available resident reviews, detailing its environment, services, features, and promotional information for those considering it as a long-term housing option in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
"Closed" Mobile Home Park is situated in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a city known for its military presence and a mix of urban and suburban landscapes. The environment within the park appears to be that of a typical mobile home community, with numerous trailers spread across the property. Residents are responsible for cutting their own grass, which contributes to the individual upkeep of each lot and can impact the overall appearance of the park depending on resident compliance.
The social environment within "Closed" presents a mixed picture. While some aspects of community support are evident, such as neighbors lending a lawnmower, there are significant concerns raised by residents regarding social dynamics, particularly involving younger residents. Complaints include teenagers and children stealing from yards and playing "loud music all hours of the night," even when "little babies are around." This suggests challenges with maintaining peace and quiet within certain areas of the park, and a lack of parental supervision for some youths. The issues with youth behavior and parental responses indicate that residents might face interpersonal challenges that affect the overall tranquility of the community.
Despite these social hurdles, the fact that trailers are described as "clean and well kept" suggests that the physical living spaces themselves are maintained to a reasonable standard by residents. The general quietness of the Fayetteville area, outside of the immediate park, offers a contrasting peaceful backdrop.
The services at "Closed" Mobile Home Park are primarily focused on supporting its long-term residents, with a particular emphasis on property management and maintenance. However, the reviews highlight both the positive attributes of the staff and the operational challenges they face.
- Management Team: The front office, specifically "Jennifer," is consistently praised by residents. She is described as a "nice woman who will help you out to the best of her abilities" and someone who "doesn't try to play games with you." This indicates a transparent, helpful, and resident-focused management approach. Management is also noted as being "knowledgeable and friendly," suggesting a professional and approachable demeanor for residents.
- Maintenance Services: The park faces a significant challenge with maintenance workload. With "only one - two maintenance men and 50+ trailers," residents acknowledge that there are "so many work orders" and the "list is long." While management tries to address issues, this staffing shortage has at times made tenants "feel as though they were being ignored," even if that wasn't the intention. Despite the backlog, if "something happens they come in and fix it," implying responsiveness for critical issues.
- Appliance Rental: The park offers a convenient "new upgrade" where residents can rent a washer and dryer directly from management for an additional $40 on their rent. This is a valuable service, providing essential home amenities without the upfront cost of purchase.
- Lawn Care Support: While residents are "responsible for cutting your own grass," the park provides a solution by allowing residents to "rent their lawnmower for $1." This low-cost rental service is a practical amenity, especially for those without their own equipment.
The management's efforts to provide support and address issues are evident, but the sheer volume of work orders relative to the small maintenance team is a clear operational challenge that impacts resident satisfaction.
"Closed" Mobile Home Park offers a range of features designed for long-term manufactured home living, balancing affordability with various community characteristics.
- Affordable Housing: Mobile home parks like "Closed" typically provide a more cost-effective housing solution compared to traditional stick-built homes, making them an attractive option for individuals and families seeking economical long-term residence in Fayetteville.
- Clean and Well-Kept Trailers: Despite the maintenance workload, the individual trailers are generally described as "clean and well kept," suggesting that residents maintain their homes to a good standard. This contributes to the overall appearance of the living spaces within the park.
- On-Site Amenities/Support: The availability of washer and dryer rentals and a lawnmower for rent at a nominal fee are key features that enhance convenience for residents, reducing the need for personal investment in these larger appliances or equipment.
- Community Dynamics: The park is home to families with children, fostering a diverse community. While some social issues with younger residents and noise levels exist, the presence of families can also contribute to a lively environment.
- Dedicated Management: The presence of a "knowledgeable and friendly" front office manager who "doesn't try to play games" is a significant positive feature, indicating a transparent and supportive management presence.
The features of "Closed" highlight its dual nature: a community offering affordable housing and supportive management, yet grappling with the practicalities of limited maintenance staff and some internal social challenges.
For those searching for "RV Parks Near Me" with an emphasis on long-term residency in a manufactured home, "Closed" Mobile Home Park in Fayetteville, NC, warrants consideration. There are so many work orders and not enough people working which has at times made the tenants feel as though they were being ignored. ((We weren't but with only one - two maintenance men and 50+ trailers the list is long)) .... Front office, Jennifer, is a nice woman who will help you out to the best of her abilities! She doesn't try to play games with you. .... the other people there ~ you have the teenagers / kids that like to steal from your yard and their parents want to yell at you.for.taking your.stuff back from the kids. They play loud music all hours of the night even if they know there are little babies around.

They have a new upgrade where you can get a washer and dryer from them and it's an extra $40 on your rent. If something happens they come in and fix it. You are responsible for cutting your own grass but you can rent their lawnmower for $1.
Jun 29, 2018 · misty johnsonI love the woman and man that work in the office. They're super friendly and always send someone out when i need maintenance! The neighbors are a different story... But the woman in the office goes out of her way to make sure i am happy. I currently live here and though the neighbors themselves arent ideal, the front office staff is amazing!
May 29, 2018 · Kelsey StephensonThey have yet to put underpinning on my cousins home. No central air! She has small children and the electric bill is sky high due to poor insulation and no underpinning! They only show you what they feel you can afford and rarely fix anything! They come promptly to collect rent though! A mess!
Aug 10, 2020 · RAMONA LEWISIm telling everyone do not waste your time renting and surely not buying in this run down trashy, disguising place. horrible landlords who dont fix anything in a timely manner. Roaches, huge security deposits, to live like your in a thrid world country. It's horrible I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Dont waste your time or money. Trash all over the place cats running rampant, no garbage cans, You want a hugh electric bill you come to the right place. Again dont waste your time. If I could give it no stars I would have.
