Coachlight Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Coachlight Manufactured Home Community, located at 4600 Coachlight Rd TRLR 184, Abilene, TX 79603, USA, is primarily a manufactured home community that may also offer accommodations for RVs, thus relevant for individuals searching for ‘RV parks near me’ in the Abilene area, as well as those seeking long-term mobile home living. To inquire about residency or RV site availability, you can contact them at (325) 673-6631 or +1 325-673-6631.
The environment within Coachlight Manufactured Home Community appears to have both positive and negative aspects based on the available customer reviews. On the positive side, the landscaping is described as looking “great,” suggesting that efforts are made to maintain an aesthetically pleasing environment. Residents also mention a “feeling of peace” experienced when outdoors, indicating that there are likely pleasant areas within the community. The pool is consistently highlighted as “always clean” and “fantastic,” making it a significant recreational amenity for residents and potentially RV guests during warmer months. However, there are notable concerns raised about other aspects of the environment. One recurring issue is the presence of “huge” potholes throughout the park’s roads, which have reportedly remained unfixed for several years despite residents being billed monthly towards their repair. Additionally, there are complaints about constant barking from big dogs, which is allegedly against the community rules but persists without resolution. The entry and mailbox area are also mentioned as needing “a lot of work” and having been in this state for “several years,” suggesting a potential lack of attention to these initial points of contact.
As a manufactured home community that might also accommodate RVs, Coachlight likely provides a range of services and features, although the reviews offer more insight into the living conditions than specific amenities for RVers. Based on the nature of such communities, the following can be inferred:
- Spaces or lots designated for manufactured homes, equipped with essential utility hookups such as water, electricity, and sewer connections. These form the core of the community.
- Potentially, some designated RV sites with similar utility hookups. The size, type (e.g., pull-thru, back-in), and amperage (e.g., 30/50 amp) of these sites are not mentioned in the reviews, so prospective RV guests should inquire directly.
- Internal roadways providing access to the homes and RV sites, though these are noted to have significant pothole issues.
- Management services responsible for the upkeep of the community and enforcement of rules, although the reviews suggest some shortcomings in addressing issues like dog barking and road repairs.
- Mailbox facilities for residents, which are mentioned as needing improvement.
- Trash disposal services are typically provided in such communities.
- The pool is a significant recreational feature, noted for its cleanliness.
- While landscaping is mentioned as being well-maintained, other communal areas, like the entry, appear to be neglected.
- The reviews do not mention the availability of amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms/showers specifically for RV guests, Wi-Fi, or dedicated recreational areas beyond the pool. Those interested in these should verify with the management.
- A concerning issue raised by a reviewer is the theft and vandalism (scratching of vehicle paint) allegedly committed by a “select few neighbor kids.” This suggests a potential security or community issue that may be important for prospective residents or long-term RV guests to consider.
The contrasting feedback in the reviews paints a mixed picture of Coachlight Manufactured Home Community. While the pool and landscaping are positive aspects, the persistent issues with potholes, dog barking, and the condition of the entry and mailbox areas are significant drawbacks. The alleged theft and vandalism by some children within the community is also a serious concern regarding safety and security.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. To learn about any current offers, availability of mobile home lots or RV sites, pricing, or special incentives, it is crucial to contact the management directly. Inquiring about lot rental fees for manufactured homes and daily/weekly/monthly rates for RV sites, as well as any associated fees (including those purportedly for road repairs), will be necessary for potential residents or visitors to make an informed decision. It would also be wise to inquire about the community’s rules regarding pets and noise, as well as any measures in place to address security concerns and infrastructure maintenance.
In conclusion, Coachlight Manufactured Home Community in Abilene, Texas, offers a location with well-maintained landscaping and a clean pool, which are appreciated by residents. However, there are significant concerns regarding the poor condition of the roads due to unresolved potholes, persistent noise from barking dogs (allegedly violating community rules), and the neglected state of the entry and mailbox areas. Additionally, reports of theft and vandalism by some children within the community are concerning. For individuals searching for ‘RV parks near me’ or considering mobile home living here, it is essential to weigh these positive and negative aspects carefully. Direct communication with the management is strongly recommended to gain clarity on the current status of the reported issues, the amenities available for RV guests, and all associated costs. While some residents express a love for the area and the peaceful atmosphere in certain aspects, the persistent infrastructure and community issues raise questions about the overall quality of living and management responsiveness.

Coachlight Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Dogs bark constantly - big dogs. This is against the rules but nothing changes. Pot holes all over the park are huge and never fixed even though you are billed monthly toward them being fixed! Pool always clean & landscaping looks great however entry and mail box area needs alot of work...for several years!
Jan 30, 2022 · Missy GirlMy mother has lived here for a lot of years. I did for about 3 or 4. The only issues I have are the reaccuring pot holes (craters) in the streets and a select few neighbor kids that steal from my mother and scratch up the paint job on her vehicles. Other than that, I LOVE the area, the feeling of peace I experience when I'm outside and the pool is fantastic!!
Apr 29, 2018 · Aurora Michelle CarltonI love living here it's quiet and peaceful. It's nestled in a cul de sac so the only people going in and out really are the people who live here.
Feb 10, 2024 · Lucille MillerThe owner has stolen money from renters. Refusing to give them credit for the Texas rent relief programs. He also adds extra charges stating that the city is doing it when in fact they are not. He is very crooked and is abusive of the elderly.
Sep 26, 2022 · Courtney SmithPot holes are getting REALLY bad. Was told he couldn't keep help long enough to even get them started. That was a year ago, still no road work being doing. But don't forget to pay your bill. Water Is on your lot rent bill all rolled into one with sewer, stormwater, admin fee, and trash expense.
