Connie Jean Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Connie Jean Manufactured Home Community is located at 5570 Connie Jean Rd Lot 19, Jacksonville, FL 32222, USA. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a manufactured home community in Jacksonville, the available customer reviews offer a glimpse into the living experience at Connie Jean, highlighting both its affordability for homeowners and some unique environmental considerations.
One reviewer, whose mother moved from Connie Jean and left them her mobile home, points out a significant advantage: "Cheap lot rent when you own your own." This suggests that for individuals who own their manufactured homes, the cost of leasing the land within Connie Jean is relatively low, potentially making it an attractive option for budget-conscious homeowners seeking long-term residency.
However, this same reviewer also mentions a mandatory fee for a service that seems redundant. They note that their mother "still pays $20 every week for private yard service even tho there is a mower." This implies that even for residents who may have their own means of maintaining their yards, there is a required additional expense for a private service. The reasoning behind this mandatory fee, especially in light of the presence of a mower (presumably for common area maintenance or potentially resident use), is not explained in the review.
A notable environmental aspect of Connie Jean, and a potential downside for some, is the presence of a significant wildlife population within the community. The reviewer explicitly states that the park is "over populated with random street cats and a posse of ducks." This suggests a noticeable presence of these animals throughout the community, which could have implications for residents.
Further elaborating on the duck situation, the reviewer mentions a direct impact on their property due to the feeding habits of neighbors. They state that "Neighbors toss bread in our yard to feed them....then the ducks use our porch as a toilet." This indicates a potential issue with some residents attracting ducks to private properties, leading to unsanitary conditions and unwanted mess for other residents. This situation highlights a potential lack of community guidelines or enforcement regarding the feeding of wildlife and its impact on neighbors.
In contrast to the concerns about wildlife and mandatory yard service, another reviewer offers a more positive perspective, particularly regarding the property management. This reviewer owns a trailer in Connie Jean, as well as several in Deerpointe (which they note has the same management). They state that Connie Jean is "Definitely maintained better than most trailer parks on westside." This suggests that despite the issues with wildlife and the mandatory yard service, the overall upkeep of the community is perceived to be better than that of many comparable parks in the western part of Jacksonville.
The same reviewer specifically praises an individual named Juan within the management team, describing him as "amazing" and noting that he "addresses any concerns in a timely fashion." This positive feedback about the responsiveness and effectiveness of at least one member of the management staff is a significant point in favor of Connie Jean. It suggests that while there may be community-wide issues like the wildlife, individual resident concerns are handled professionally and efficiently.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," it is important to note that none of the provided reviews explicitly mention the availability of RV spaces at Connie Jean Manufactured Home Community. The name itself suggests a focus on manufactured homes. Therefore, local users specifically seeking RV parking options in this area would need to inquire directly with the management to determine if any RV spaces are available and what the terms and conditions might be.
In terms of environment, the reviews paint a somewhat mixed picture. On one hand, there's an indication of decent overall maintenance compared to other parks in the area. On the other hand, the "over populated" nature of stray cats and ducks, along with the issues arising from neighbors feeding the ducks, suggests a unique environmental factor that potential residents should be aware of and consider their comfort level with.
Regarding services and features, the reviews provide limited information. The mention of mandatory private yard service, even for homeowners, is a notable feature that could be seen as either a convenience or an unnecessary expense depending on individual preferences. The positive feedback about Juan in management suggests a responsive service for addressing resident concerns. However, other potential services or amenities within the community are not mentioned.
Promotional information is scarce. The "cheap lot rent when you own your own" is a clear financial incentive for prospective homeowners. The positive comparison to other trailer parks on the Westside in terms of maintenance could also be seen as a promotional point. Additionally, the praise for Juan in management highlights a positive aspect of the resident experience. However, these positive points are somewhat counterbalanced by the concerns about the wildlife and the mandatory yard service fee.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," the lack of information about RV spaces means Connie Jean might not be a relevant option unless confirmed otherwise through direct inquiry. If RV spaces are available, potential renters should consider the reported issues with wildlife and the mandatory yard service in their decision-making process.
In conclusion, Connie Jean Manufactured Home Community in Jacksonville, FL, offers the potential for affordable living for those who own their manufactured homes, with lot rent described as "cheap." The community is also reportedly maintained better than many other trailer parks in the Westside area, and the management, particularly Juan, is praised for being responsive. However, potential residents should be aware of a significant population of stray cats and ducks, with the latter sometimes causing issues due to feeding by neighbors. Additionally, there is a mandatory weekly fee for private yard service, even for homeowners. For those interested in mobile home living, these factors present a mixed bag of affordability and potential environmental and service-related considerations. For those specifically seeking "RV parks near me," direct inquiry is necessary to determine if RV spaces are available and if the community's characteristics align with their needs and preferences.
Prospective residents are encouraged to contact Connie Jean Manufactured Home Community directly at (904) 771-1267 or +1 904-771-1267 to inquire about lot rental rates, the mandatory yard service, pet policies regarding cats and ducks, and the availability of any RV spaces. Speaking with the management and potentially visiting the community could provide a more comprehensive understanding of what it's like to live at Connie Jean.

Dec 25, 2021 · greg litchfieldDo not rent here. If there is anything the management team is responsible for, it will either not be addressed or it will be done incorrectly. We have been here almost 4 months and there are repairs that we were told would be completed before we moved in. Those include, the massive crack in our tub, the back staircase railing was in pieces, and our font door is rotting away from the inside(see picture!). We have inquired about these repairs a total of 10 times at the time of this post. Around the 5th time they "repaired" the tub crack with some puddy-like substance that now holds on to nothing but dirt and is constantly sticky. Since then, smaller cracks have appeared. There was 1 weekend that I stepped out my front door and my foot went through the one of the boards on the front porch. No injuries. No one's fault. The next day that the front office was open I let them know and they got out to address within about an hour...However they traded out a hole for another tripping hazard by using the wrong size material (see picture). There has been SO much more with this place, Getting keys for our mailbox (managed by post office) took 3 months, we've gotten several violation notices for items that we're on our walk-thru as being the responsibility of the management team, even a "failure to pay rent" notice 6 days after we paid rent (within the 7 day window they provide). So please.... do not rent here... I could write a novel with just this last 4 months.

Mar 28, 2023 · Alex S.Looks ghetto. Like an army barracks. Too many straw cats and ducks. Dingy looking. I would not live there personally. Dirty looking.
