Corral City RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lantana, Texas area, Corral City RV Park, located at 14017 Corral City Dr, Lantana, TX 76226, USA, is an option that appears in search results. However, based on recent customer reviews, potential guests should be aware of significant concerns regarding the park's layout, amenities, pricing transparency, and management practices before making a reservation.
One reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction with the spatial arrangement of the RV sites. They noted a severe lack of yard space, with their front door being "literally at our neighbors dump hose" and their awning almost touching the adjacent camper. This description paints a picture of extremely close quarters and a lack of personal space, which may be a significant drawback for those seeking a comfortable and private camping experience. The absence of visible dumpsters, with only small trash cans picked up once a week, could also be inconvenient for managing waste, especially during longer stays.
Furthermore, this reviewer raised concerns about the pricing. While initially quoted a rate of $625, they later discovered that electricity was an additional cost. They felt that the total price, including the extra charge for electricity, was "way over priced" for the quality and location of the park, especially when compared to potentially more desirable lakefront options available at a similar cost. This suggests a perceived lack of value for money at Corral City RV Park.
The same reviewer also highlighted issues with park maintenance and sanitation, mentioning the absence of caps on unused sewer connections, leading to unpleasant odors when the wind blows. Additionally, they reported frequent water outages for repairs, further detracting from the overall guest experience. The concluding remark, using a sick emoji, strongly conveys their negative impression of the park.
Another reviewer, who booked Corral City RV Park as a last resort due to other parks being fully booked or too expensive, also shared a largely negative experience. While acknowledging the relatively lower nightly rate of $55, they detailed a cumbersome and inconvenient check-in process. This involved a phone call to the office manager followed by an emailed application that needed to be filled out and returned before payment could be taken – a difficult task for someone actively traveling. Upon arrival, this application turned out to be a "12 PAGE application," which the reviewer felt was excessive for a short three-day stay and likened to signing a lease. This lengthy paperwork process took 15 minutes to complete and caused hand cramps, starting the stay on a negative note.
The site assigned to this reviewer further contributed to their dissatisfaction. They described being "sandwiched in" with approximately eight feet between each RV. Adding to the lack of tranquility, their site backed onto grassy areas, the noise of Route 35, and a billboard that shone light into their windows throughout the night. This description suggests a cramped, noisy, and poorly situated RV site that does not promote rest and relaxation.
This reviewer concluded that while they understood the park might be a "work in process," their current experience was "not worth the money," especially given the lack of amenities they were already aware of (no showers, no internet, no laundry). They emphasized that Corral City RV Park was "not a place for rest and relaxation or amenities," reinforcing the concerns raised by the first reviewer regarding the park's overall value and suitability for a comfortable stay.
Based on these two recent reviews, Corral City RV Park appears to have significant drawbacks that potential guests should carefully consider. The lack of space between RV sites, potential odor issues from uncapped sewer connections, frequent water outages, a lengthy and inconvenient check-in process, highway noise, and a perceived lack of value for money are all serious concerns.
Information regarding the park's overall environment, beyond the cramped site layout and proximity to the highway, is limited. There are no descriptions of landscaping, cleanliness of common areas (if any), or other aesthetic aspects of the park. Similarly, details about services and features are scarce. The second reviewer explicitly mentioned the absence of showers, internet, and laundry facilities, which are typically considered essential amenities for many RV travelers.
Given the negative feedback, it is unlikely that the park is currently offering any promotional information that would outweigh the significant concerns raised by recent guests. Potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be wary of any advertised specials and prioritize the reported living conditions and management practices when making their decision.
For local users in the Lantana area or those traveling through, Corral City RV Park might appear as an option due to its location. However, the strong negative reviews highlighting cramped spaces, potential sanitation issues, pricing concerns, a cumbersome check-in process, and a lack of essential amenities should give pause to potential guests. It is highly recommended to explore alternative RV parks in the vicinity that offer more space, better amenities, and positive guest experiences.
The lack of positive feedback and the specific negative details provided in the reviews paint a concerning picture of Corral City RV Park. Potential guests should weigh these issues heavily against any perceived convenience of location or potentially lower initial price, as hidden costs (like electricity) and a poor overall experience may ultimately lead to dissatisfaction.
In conclusion, based on recent customer reviews, Corral City RV Park in Lantana, TX, appears to have significant shortcomings in terms of space, amenities, pricing transparency, and management procedures. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly advised to carefully consider these negative experiences and explore alternative campgrounds in the area that may offer a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Corral City RV Park Reviews
Not impressed at all there’s absolutely no yard space our front door is literally at our neighbors dump hose our awning almost touches the camper next to us No dumpsters on sight only small trash cans that are picked up once a week 625$ they said then after your hear it’s plus electric which for this park is way over priced we can literally stay on the lake front for the price here We will never stay here again ever the two stars is just to be polite 🙄!! Also they have no caps on the sewer that’s not being used so there’s a nice odor when the wind blows and they always have the water off for repair and don’t even get me started on the knots😷
Jan 19, 2025 · Helen WilsonUnfortunately I must provide an honest review and it is not all positive. This was number 12 on a list of RV parks as all others were booked full or the price of a hotel stay (kinda defeats the purpose of staying in an RV). So because it was the least expensive -$55 per night- and fairly close to where I needed to stay, I booked it. I also know there were no showers, no internet and no laundry. After a phone call to the office manager, I was emailed an application which I needed to fill out and return before he could take payment. How am I supposed to do that while driving/ traveling? Initially, I thought it was a bit long for a three day stay but didn’t really look at the document as I was traveling. I called him back and told him I would have to do it there. Upon arrival he printed me out a 12 PAGE application! I said, I’m not signing a lease! He said that’s was what was required. After my hand cramped up filling out paperwork for 15 minutes, he escorted me to my site. We were sandwiched in with about 8 feet between each rig. Mind you, behind us was grassy areas and the highway (rt 35) and a billboard which blared light in the windows all night. I can see this must be a work in process but for now it was not worth the money. But I had no alternative as everyone else was full. Not a place for rest and relaxation or amenities.
May 14, 2021 · Cherise HaaseI don’t like to leave 1 star reviews, but this place earned it. We wanted to stay 1 night (not even 24 hours) and emailed well in advance with no reply. When we got there- there were so many spots- so as many places allow- we pulled in and planned to pay on our way out as usual. The owner called and we explained we were in a spot already and he said it was going to be a “big problem” and we could not stay there. He mentioned not having a background check. We are a dual military family- it would have taken very little hospitality to talk it out, accommodate us for the few hours we needed and accepted our $55. With how rude he was- we were happy to not give them our money and never return again. They clearly have low standards too because the RV next to us had all tires popped and everyone had a ton of junk around their RVs on display. Why are people so rude these days?!? What a disappointment! Lots of better options out there close by.
Dec 17, 2024 · Cori BryanI visit here frequently, family stays there. It's typically clean and quiet. Not really any amenities though. Seems okay.
Dec 12, 2024 · Devin HurstI've been here since February. It's a basic campground with full hook ups and WiFi. It has a laundry room.
