To provide a comprehensive understanding of what this resort offers, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by recent visitors. You can contact Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina at (541) 996-6824 or +1 541-996-6824 for inquiries and reservations.
The available reviews present a mixed picture of Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina, highlighting both positive aspects such as its scenic location and helpful staff, as well as potential drawbacks related to infrastructure, amenities, and operational aspects. One reviewer recounted a stay that began in a "tree house" cabin, where a significant electrical issue led to a loss of power and heat during the night. The initial response involved waiting until the office opened at ten the next morning, although a maintenance person was dispatched who, while pleasant, could not resolve the problem. The reviewer did note a positive resolution when they were upgraded to a river cabin for the remaining stay at no extra charge.
However, this same reviewer also raised concerns about the boat ramp, based on conversations with fishermen who described it as "terrible" and difficult to maneuver for launching boats. Additionally, they mentioned limited office hours (10 AM to 2 PM, possibly due to being early in the tourist season), lack of cell service, and "iffy" Wi-Fi, along with unspecified "plenty of safety issues." Ultimately, this reviewer concluded they would not return, suggesting that alternative beachfront accommodations might offer better value and amenities.
In contrast, another reviewer expressed a strong positive sentiment, stating, "Love this place! Quiet and peaceful... beautiful scenery right on the Siletz River." They specifically enjoyed their stay in a treehouse and found it to be a "nice, relaxing time." This reviewer also highlighted the resort's convenient location, being only 5 minutes from Lincoln City for restaurants and the beach, and praised the staff as "helpful and attentive."
Considering these contrasting experiences, a balanced introduction to Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina should address the environment, services, and features based on these observations:
Environment: The resort boasts a picturesque location directly on the Siletz River, offering "beautiful scenery" and a potentially "quiet and peaceful" atmosphere, as noted by one reviewer. The availability of "tree house" and "river" cabins suggests unique accommodation options that capitalize on the natural surroundings. Its proximity to Lincoln City (5 minutes away) provides convenient access to coastal attractions, restaurants, and beaches, blending a riverside retreat with coastal exploration opportunities. However, the lack of reliable cell service and "iffy" Wi-Fi could be a significant drawback for those needing to stay connected. The mention of "plenty of safety issues" by one reviewer, without specific details, warrants caution and further inquiry.
Services: Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina offers a range of services catering to both RVers and those staying in cabins, along with marina facilities:
- Accommodation Options: The resort provides RV sites (implied by the name) and unique cabin rentals, including "tree house" and "river" cabins. The experience in the treehouse for one guest was marred by an electrical issue, highlighting potential maintenance concerns. The upgrade to a river cabin was a positive service recovery.
- Marina and Boat Ramp: The presence of a marina suggests services related to boating and water access. However, feedback from fishermen indicates that the boat ramp is problematic ("terrible" and "tight"). This is a crucial consideration for guests planning to use the marina facilities.
- Staff Assistance: One reviewer found the staff to be "helpful and attentive," indicating a positive aspect of the service provided. However, the initial response to the electrical outage (waiting for the office to open) suggests potential limitations in after-hours support. The limited office hours (10 AM to 2 PM, possibly seasonal) could also be inconvenient for some guests.
- Utilities and Connectivity: While utility hookups for RVs are generally expected, the specific details are not provided. The lack of cell service and unreliable Wi-Fi are significant service limitations reported by one guest.
Information regarding essential RV park services such as restroom and shower facilities, laundry, and waste disposal is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. Similarly, details about marina services beyond the problematic boat ramp are absent.
Features: The key features of Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina appear to be:
- Riverside Location: Situated on the Siletz River, offering scenic views and a potentially tranquil environment.
- Unique Cabin Accommodations: The availability of "tree house" and "river" cabins provides distinctive lodging options.
- Proximity to Lincoln City: The 5-minute drive to Lincoln City offers easy access to beaches, dining, and other tourist attractions.
- Marina Facilities: While the boat ramp has received negative feedback, the marina itself might offer other features or services for boaters.
The contrasting reviews highlight a potential inconsistency in the quality of the experience, with one guest appreciating the quiet and scenery while another encountered significant infrastructure and connectivity issues. The "plenty of safety issues" mentioned in one review is a serious concern that needs further clarification from the resort management.
Promotional Information: The provided user reviews do not contain any explicit promotional offers. However, the positive comments about the beautiful scenery, quiet atmosphere, and helpful staff could be considered indirect promotional points. The unique "tree house" and "river" cabins might also be highlighted in the resort's marketing materials. To obtain information about current promotions, seasonal rates, or special packages, it is best to contact Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina directly. Given the mixed feedback, potential guests should inquire specifically about cell service availability, Wi-Fi reliability, boat ramp conditions, office hours, and any safety measures in place.
In conclusion, Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina in Lincoln City, Oregon, offers a unique setting on the Siletz River with a mix of RV sites, distinctive cabin rentals, and marina access. While one reviewer praised its peaceful ambiance, scenic beauty, and convenient location near Lincoln City, another reported significant issues including an electrical outage, a problematic boat ramp, poor connectivity, limited office hours, and unspecified safety concerns. Prospective guests should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and inquire directly with the resort about the current conditions of their facilities and services to make an informed decision. The unique cabin options and riverside location may appeal to some, but addressing the reported infrastructure and service limitations appears crucial for ensuring a positive guest experience.

Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina Reviews
We stayed for 3 days, first night in one of their "tree house" cabins. Half way through the night the power went out...no lights no heat. Turned out to be an electrical short. We went to the hosts trailer to explain the situation and we're told the office doesn't open until ten. She did send the maintenance guy over, he was pleasant and cordial but couldn't fix the problem. After ten we went to the office and they did upgrade us to river cabin for the same fee, which was nice.We didn't use the boat ramp but the fisherman we talked to said it was terrible and it's tight getting you boat in the water.Overall we won't ever go back. You can get a beachfront room for less with a bathroom and shower. We were here a little early for tourist season but the office is only open 10-2No cell service, wifi iffy plenty of safety issues.
Apr 19, 2025 · mud larsonLove this place! Quiet and peaceful... beautiful scenery right on the Siletz River. We stayed in a treehouse and had a nice, relaxing time. Only 5 minutes from Lincoln City for restaurants and the beach. The staff is helpful and attentive.
Sep 28, 2024 · Travis ReesNice little cabins up off the ground. Insides are a bit dirty but that's to be expected. Having a fridge and heater is really nice. The tables that go with the cabins are a bit confusing as not every cabin had a table and fire pit. Decent little park right across the parking lot. Bathrooms were just fine.
Sep 09, 2024 · Sarah BaileyI rented one of their new cabins along the river. A tiny house. Not even a chair to sit down . The trailer was a full bubble off level. The bathroom for the whole camp has 2 showers and 1 toilet for the men.. the large rocks in the road are difficult to walk on.. the lady working there in the store is great.
Aug 27, 2024 · rex samplesVery nice folks, allowed us to come in and register after hours. They are expecting to be full tomorrow but made space for us one-nighters. Very pleasant location on the Siletz River, a peaceful quiet river in this section, only two miles from the bay.
