Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort Introduce
If you are looking for "RV parks near me" in the Lake Elsinore, California region, Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort, situated at 15980 Grand Ave, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530, presents itself as a noteworthy option. You can reach them by phone at (951) 678-2112 or via their mobile number +1 951-678-2112 for reservations and inquiries.
Based on customer reviews, Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort boasts a unique lakeside environment, offering "charming little spaces right on the lake, complete with an adjacent sandy beach." This feature is a significant draw for those seeking waterfront access and recreational opportunities such as swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the views. The park is described as "clean" and initially reported as "safe," catering to individuals, families, and pet owners. The sense of safety was specifically highlighted for women, pets, and children, suggesting a secure and welcoming atmosphere for a diverse range of visitors and residents.
The community aspect of Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort is also positively emphasized. One reviewer noted the "diverse community of neighbors—so kind they became like family," indicating a friendly and supportive social environment. This neighborly atmosphere can greatly enhance the living experience, particularly for those staying for extended periods. The park is also described as "well-maintained," suggesting that the management takes pride in the upkeep of the grounds and facilities, contributing to a pleasant and comfortable environment for all.
The management of Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort has received high praise in one review, being described as "truly wonderful." Effective and caring management can significantly impact the overall quality of an RV park, ensuring that residents' needs are met and that the park operates smoothly and fairly.
The park is characterized as a "classic California dream" in a world increasingly dominated by large corporations, suggesting a more personal and perhaps traditional approach to hospitality and community. This might appeal to those seeking a more authentic and less commercialized RV park experience. The recommendation for both short- and long-term stays indicates that the park caters to a variety of needs, whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a more permanent living situation.
Adding to its appeal, Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort is conveniently located "just down the road from a great farmers market." This proximity offers residents and visitors easy access to fresh produce, local goods, and a vibrant community gathering spot, enhancing the overall lifestyle and convenience of staying at the park.
However, it is crucial to consider a more recent update from a long-term resident who initially enjoyed living at the park for nearly a year. This update expresses a significant concern regarding safety related to the park's power grid during excessive heat. The reviewer reported their surge protector repeatedly shutting off their electricity due to power surges, leading to their home exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The most concerning aspect of this update is the alleged lack of response from the office, despite read receipts indicating they had seen the resident's texts detailing the emergency. This experience led the reviewer to deduct two stars due to the perceived disregard for their safety and the safety of others. They have since requested the owners' contact information to discuss the issue and the need for a reliable emergency contact number.
This recent feedback introduces a critical perspective regarding the infrastructure and emergency response protocols at Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort, particularly concerning the electrical system's reliability during extreme weather conditions. While the earlier reviews paint a positive picture of the environment, community, and management, this updated review raises serious questions about the park's ability to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents during critical situations.
Prospective visitors and residents must weigh the positive aspects highlighted in the earlier reviews—the lakeside location with beach access, the clean and safe environment (as initially perceived), the friendly community, and the wonderful management—against the serious safety concerns raised in the more recent update regarding the power grid and emergency response. It is essential to inquire with the management about the steps they have taken or plan to take to address these safety issues, particularly concerning the reliability of the electrical infrastructure during periods of high demand and extreme weather.
When considering Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort as one of the "RV parks near me," it would be prudent to ask specific questions about the park's electrical capacity and maintenance procedures, especially given the potential for high temperatures in the Lake Elsinore area. Understanding their emergency protocols and how they handle infrastructure issues that could impact the safety and comfort of their guests and residents is also crucial.
Despite the recent safety concerns raised, the park's unique lakeside location and the positive experiences shared by other reviewers regarding the community and management remain attractive features. The proximity to a farmers market is an added convenience. However, potential residents and visitors should seek clarification and assurance from the management regarding the electrical safety and emergency response procedures before making a decision.
In conclusion, Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort offers a compelling setting on Lake Elsinore with a sandy beach, a friendly community, and what was initially described as wonderful management. It caters to both short- and long-term stays and is conveniently located near a farmers market. However, a recent review has raised significant safety concerns regarding the reliability of the power grid during extreme heat and the responsiveness of the management in such situations. Individuals considering this park as one of the "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh the positive aspects against these safety concerns and seek detailed information from the management about how these issues are being addressed to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

Crane Lakeside Park & RV Resort Reviews
I had the pleasure of spending a couple of seasons here in my little RV, and I can't say enough great things about this place! It is a clean, safe park with charming little spaces right on the lake, complete with an adjacent sandy beach. ⛱️This is an excellent spot for enjoying the lake, and it hosts a diverse community of neighbors—so kind they became like family. 💕 The park is safe for women, pets, and little ones, and it is well-maintained. Above all, it has truly wonderful management. In a world dominated by big corporate businesses, Crane Lakeside remains a classic California dream. 🏝 I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short- or long-term stay in the area. Plus, it's just down the road from a great farmers market. 🚣♀️
Mar 25, 2025 · Sybil WatsonI really enjoy living here. It has been nearly a year since I moved in. The park is kept up and the neighbors are nice. UPDATE: I deducted two stars due to safety. We are going through excessive heat and yesterday my surge protector was shutting my electric off due to the parks power grid surging. No one responded from the office eventhough they were reading my texts (read receipts) showing the inside of my home was exceeding 100 degrees. My safety and the safety of others was completely disregarded. I have requested the owners contact information to discuss the issue and getting a working and monitored emergency contact number.
Jul 16, 2023 · madison murrayI have been here at Cranes almost 4 years now. I love it. It is peaceful clean and the staff is awesome. I have always felt welcome here. As with any place you may have nieghbors that aren't the best. But i have always been happy with the response of the management team addressing any issue. Everyone says hello as you pass and the lake is always beautiful. Sandy has always been fair and very courteous. I love that there are cameras at every turn. I have never felt more safe. Thank you Sandy for being such a wonderful person...
Apr 15, 2021 · Julie LopezThis is the best campground in the Lake Elsinore area. The campground itself is clean and very well maintained, including the beach area. The staff is friendly and there are security cameras throughout the park and we felt very safe. Sites are back in and our site was right on the beach, making for a really nice view. There is no swimming in the lake though but there are water sports. We stayed two months and the only complaint is the electric. The electric bill was extremely high and when we asked about it the staff didn’t seem concerned about it and said they would look into it (it’s been two months and nothing). We would stay here again but for less then a month due to the electric bill issue. Stayed here January and February 2018.
May 01, 2018 · Roaming Free In A RVPermanent residence only. Clean, quiet and keep up the park constantly. Staff is friendly and understanding. Perfect distance from Ortega Hwy since we work in south OC!
