Creekside Campground R.V. Park Introduce
Welcome to Creekside Campground R.V. Park, located at 9560 Grand Bay Wilmer Rd in Grand Bay, Alabama. If you are searching for "RV parks near me" and are looking for a convenient, peaceful, and well-maintained stop, especially if you are traveling along I-10, Creekside Campground R.V. Park offers a welcoming environment and practical amenities for a comfortable stay. Based on recent customer reviews, this park provides easy access, a tranquil atmosphere, and essential facilities for both overnight and potentially longer visits.
Convenient Location and Easy Access
One of the key advantages of Creekside Campground R.V. Park is its convenient location close to Interstate 10 (I-10). This makes it an ideal stop for travelers journeying through the region, as highlighted by a guest who stayed overnight while traveling between Florida and Texas. The easy access to a major highway simplifies arrival and departure, minimizing travel disruptions. Furthermore, the park offers "lots of room up front for turn around if needed," which is particularly beneficial for RVers towing larger rigs, ensuring a stress-free maneuvering experience upon arrival and departure.
The review also provides helpful navigational tips, noting that the park is located before a CVS if you are traveling from I-10 and that if you pass a vet clinic, you have gone too far. This practical guidance can assist fellow travelers in locating the campground, especially as one guest suggested that the park sign could benefit from better nighttime visibility with added lights.
Peaceful and Dark Ambiance with Mature Trees
For those who appreciate a quiet and dark environment for restful nights, Creekside Campground R.V. Park seems to deliver. One guest described it as "peaceful and dark," which can be a significant draw for travelers seeking a tranquil sleeping environment away from the bright lights and noise of more urbanized areas. This ambiance allows for a better night's sleep and a more immersive outdoor experience.
Adding to the aesthetic appeal and natural charm of the park are the "very mature trees everywhere." These established trees not only enhance the beauty of the campground but also provide shade, which can be particularly welcome during the warmer months. The presence of significant greenery contributes to a more pleasant and natural camping setting.
Pet-Friendly with a Large Grassy Area
Traveling with pets is common among RVers, and Creekside Campground R.V. Park caters to these needs by being pet-friendly. One reviewer specifically mentioned that "Our dogs appreciated the large grassy area near the front to get a big walk in before we headed out in the morning." This large open space provides ample room for pets to exercise and stretch their legs, making it a convenient and welcoming option for those traveling with dogs.
Clean and Spacious Bathrooms
Clean and well-maintained bathroom facilities are essential for a comfortable camping experience, and Creekside Campground R.V. Park appears to meet this standard. A guest noted that the "Bathrooms are big and clean," indicating that the park provides adequate and hygienic facilities for its guests. Spacious bathrooms can also enhance comfort and convenience.
Online Booking Convenience and Good Sam's Affiliation
Modern travelers often appreciate the convenience of online booking, and Creekside Campground R.V. Park offers this functionality. One reviewer mentioned that they could "book the stay directly online with no issues," streamlining the reservation process. Additionally, the park is affiliated with Good Sam's, as noted by another reviewer stating "Good Sam's." This affiliation can be a significant benefit for Good Sam Club members, often providing discounts and ensuring a certain standard of quality and service at participating campgrounds.
Practical Amenities for Overnight Stays
For those using the park for overnight stays while traveling, Creekside Campground R.V. Park offers practical amenities. One guest mentioned "fairly level spots for over night," which is important for ensuring a comfortable and stable setup for RVs. The availability of "water good" and "sewer" hookups provides essential services for RVers, even for short stays. While cable TV is not provided ("no cable"), the availability of reliable water and sewer connections is often a higher priority for overnight stops.
Considerations: Gravel Sites and Potential Breaker Issues
While the overall feedback is positive, there are a couple of points to consider. One reviewer noted that "It's all gravel, so some spots are bumpy." This is important for RVers to be aware of, as they may need to take extra care when leveling their rigs. Another guest experienced an issue with a "50 amp breaker frozen" in their initial spot, although they had arrived during a time of year when the park seemed to be operating with minimal staffing ("Kinda at this time of season, you're on your own"). It's worth noting that this issue was reported, and hopefully, addressed by the management. The rate mentioned by one guest was $45, which provides a general idea of the cost, although rates can vary based on season and site type.
For Local Users: A Convenient and Peaceful Option in Grand Bay
If you are a local resident of Grand Bay or the surrounding areas in Alabama and are searching for "RV parks near me," Creekside Campground R.V. Park offers a convenient and peaceful option, especially for those who may have visiting friends or family traveling through the area or for your own short getaways. Its proximity to I-10 makes it easily accessible, and the quiet, dark environment with mature trees provides a pleasant camping setting.
The availability of a large grassy area for pets is a significant plus for pet owners. The clean and spacious bathrooms add to the comfort of the stay. Being a Good Sam's affiliated park may also offer benefits to members. While the gravel sites and the potential for seasonal self-service are points to note, the overall positive feedback regarding convenience, peacefulness, and essential amenities makes Creekside Campground R.V. Park a viable option to consider.

Creekside Campground R.V. Park Reviews
We pulled in and stayed 1 night on our way back to FL from TX. I do appreciate that I can book the stay directly online with no issues, though I didn't see an option to enter our Good Sam info, even though I was logged into their site to book. Spot is close to 1-10, easy to navigate around the park with lots of room up front for turn around if needed. It's all gravel, so some spots are bumpy, it's peaceful and dark, which we like. We were in spot 1, so that made it easy to pull in late. Park is very pretty, with very mature trees everywhere. Our dogs appreciated the large grassy area near the front to get a big walk in before we headed out in the morning. Bathrooms are big and clean. Only suggestion would be to put some lights on the park sign so it's more visible at night. We drove right past it, went down to the CVS and had to turn around. (If you pass the vet clinic you went to far.) Will definitely stop again next time we're heading back to TX.
Nov 26, 2022 · Angela N Jared DunnConvenient! Good Sam's. Kinda at this time of season, you're on your own. We paid over the phone, first spot we pulled into - the 50 amp breaker frozen couldn't flip it on. Mostly full time residents, quiet, no cable, water good, sewer, fairly level spots for over night. Rate $45.

Mar 05, 2025 · Kevin McCarronWas only in for one night on a fast trip, sites were clean (couple of levelling blcoks) and hot clean shower was a fantastic welcome after days driving.
Mar 25, 2025 · Tim GageWe only stayed here a few days. While we were here, we enjoyed the pool and used the laundry facilities. Everything was very clean and nice. They also had the bathroom and showers open. Would highly recommend..
