Dakotah Meadows RV Park Introduce
For those navigating the RV Parks Near Me platform in search of camping accommodations in the Prior Lake, Minnesota area, Dakotah Meadows RV Park presents an option to consider. Located at 2341 Park Pl NW, Prior Lake, MN 55372, USA, this RV park aims to provide a convenient stay for travelers. You can reach them directly via phone at (952) 445-8800 or +1 952-445-8800.
Dakotah Meadows RV Park is situated in Prior Lake, Minnesota, a suburban area southwest of Minneapolis. Its location often places it in proximity to entertainment venues, particularly casinos, which can be a significant draw for some travelers. The park is part of the broader offerings by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, which manages several enterprises in the area. The general environment of an RV park typically involves open spaces for parking and connecting RVs, with varying degrees of landscaping. From customer feedback, one review suggests that the "pull through sites are very weird and odd way too close to each other." This indicates that the layout and spacing between sites might not offer the level of privacy or spaciousness that some RVers prefer, potentially leading to a more crowded feeling. However, another review mentions having "always enjoyed our time there," which suggests that for some, the environment is perfectly adequate and enjoyable.
The timing of a visit can also impact the environment. A guest in "early spring" noted that there was "no water," which was "to be expected it was early spring so they were just opening up." This highlights that seasonal operational adjustments, particularly for water hookups in colder climates like Minnesota, are a factor to consider for early or late-season campers. This also implies that the park is typically closed for the winter season and reopens as temperatures rise, a common practice for RV parks in northern regions.
Dakotah Meadows RV Park is described as having "excellent facilities" and "excellent staff," who are "very helpful." This positive feedback points to a generally high standard of amenities and customer service, which are crucial for a satisfying RV park experience. "Excellent facilities" typically imply well-maintained restrooms, showers, utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer), and potentially other communal areas like laundry rooms, recreational halls, or dump stations. The praise for "excellent staff" suggests that the on-site team is attentive, responsive, and willing to assist guests with their needs, contributing significantly to a positive stay.
However, there have been instances of significant operational issues. One customer reported a "very odd campground" experience where "they gave our site away," and their name was "crossed my name off the list." This type of mismanagement of reservations can be highly frustrating and disruptive for travelers. Although the park "luckily had a spot" for them, such incidents reflect potential organizational challenges or lapses in their reservation system. The temporary lack of water during early spring, while understandable for seasonal opening, is also a service detail that guests should be aware of if planning an off-peak visit.
Dakotah Meadows RV Park's features revolve around providing essential RV accommodations. The park offers "pull through sites," which are generally favored by RVers for their ease of access, allowing vehicles to drive straight into and out of a spot without needing to back up. However, as noted, the proximity of these sites to each other might be a feature that some find less desirable. The presence of "excellent facilities" would imply full hookups (water, sewer, electricity) at each site, which is a standard expectation for modern RV parks and essential for comfortable stays. While not explicitly detailed, the proximity to various enterprises by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community often means guests might have access to or discounts at nearby casinos, restaurants, or entertainment venues, which can be an added value. The park's emphasis on being a place where guests "always enjoyed our time there" suggests a consistent ability to provide a pleasant experience for many. The staff's helpfulness is a core feature that can turn a potentially negative experience into a manageable one, as seen in the case of the reservation mix-up where they found an alternative spot.
For those searching on RV Parks Near Me for a destination in the Prior Lake, MN area, Dakotah Meadows RV Park offers a convenient location and generally well-regarded facilities and staff. However, potential visitors should be aware of the mixed feedback. The praise for "excellent facilities" and "excellent staff" indicates a high level of service delivery on many fronts, making it an appealing choice for those who value amenities and helpful personnel. The park's likely proximity to entertainment options could also be a significant draw. However, the reported issues with reservation management and the close spacing of pull-through sites are important considerations. It is highly advisable to confirm your reservation directly with the park shortly before your arrival, especially if you have specific site preferences or requirements. For early or late-season stays, it's also prudent to inquire about the availability of water hookups. Contacting Dakotah Meadows RV Park at (952) 445-8800 to ask about specific site layouts, available amenities during your planned visit, and any current policies on reservations would be beneficial. While one guest stated they "would choose not to stay here again," another consistently "enjoyed our time there," suggesting that individual experiences may vary. Therefore, an informed decision based on your specific needs and priorities, coupled with direct communication with the park, would be the best approach.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park Reviews
Very odd campground, they gave our site away, they even crossed my name off the list. I don't think the folks know what they are doing. Luckily they had a spot for us. Stayed one night and that was enough. There was no water but I guess that was to be expected it was early spring so they were just opening up. I would choose not to stay here again and go some where's elsePull through sites are very weird and odd way too close to each other
Apr 20, 2025 · Don BerreWe had to postpone our trip to Dakota Meadows. We have always enjoyed our time there. They have excellent facilities, excellent staff, very helpful.
Apr 11, 2025 · Alvin PicconattoThis was our first time in our small camper. It was a perfect night there wasn't much of a breeze The temperature was like in the '70s which was really great comfortable. The lights from the casino or shooting up in the sky with the red neon flashing in the distance. The guest card pass is pretty nice use that for the bathrooms The laundry they even have showers is a great experience very affordable clean is very quiet that's very peaceful I would recommend going there we will be back. We did back in parking it wasn't too bad White streets very easy navigational.
Jun 18, 2024 · Tim JonesPriced way too high. Pull through spot is too close to your neighbor making it cumbersome to make connections. Sewer hole is on a rise which is a bit odd. Connection configuration left tge tow vehicle nose-out 5ft and needed to disconnect and park behind the 29ft camper. Live and learn.
Oct 25, 2024 · Ben DThis Rv park located in Prior Lake is full service. From store, laundry, showers, car wash, gas station, storage, dog park, dependable wifi, and transportation to the casino. The new manager, as well as the other employees, are welcoming and helpful in every way. The location to bike paths all over the area are close. The casino and golf course are easily walkable. The cement pads are level and the grass is maintained on a regular basis. We are very happy with Dakotah Meadows and will continue to return each year!
