Wills Riverview Campground Introduce
For those utilizing the "RV Parks Near Me" platform, seeking a convenient and potentially year-round RV destination in Minnesota, Wills Riverview Campground offers an option in Shakopee, MN. Located at 1705 3rd Ave W, Shakopee, MN 55379, USA, this campground is notable for its proximity to the Minnesota River and its reported year-round operation, a significant advantage for RV enthusiasts in a state known for its winters.
Wills Riverview Campground is situated in Shakopee, a city southwest of Minneapolis, known for attractions like Valleyfair amusement park and Canterbury Park racetrack. The campground's address places it along the Minnesota River, suggesting a scenic environment with potential for waterfront views and direct access to outdoor recreational activities. Reviews specifically highlight the "beautiful views" and its location "right next to a kickass hike and bike trail right on the Minnesota River." This direct access to trails makes it an attractive spot for cyclists, hikers, and those who enjoy being close to nature. The natural setting by the river provides a tranquil backdrop, distinguishing it from RV parks located in more urban or commercial areas. The presence of the river also implies potential for fishing, kayaking, or other water-based activities, though specific details on these are not available. Being in Minnesota, the park experiences all four seasons, with winter being a significant factor, as the park reportedly remains open during this time. This unique feature for the region makes it a desirable location for those seeking winter RV accommodations.
As an RV park, Wills Riverview Campground primarily caters to individuals and families traveling with recreational vehicles. This typically means offering various RV sites with essential hookups such as electricity, water, and sewer. The mention of it being a "year-round" park implies that these services are maintained even during colder months, which often requires specific infrastructure to prevent freezing. While specific details on the types of sites (e.g., pull-through, back-in, 30-amp, 50-amp) are not explicitly stated, standard RV parks generally offer a range to accommodate different vehicle sizes and power needs. The availability of shared facilities like bathhouses, laundry rooms, and potentially communal areas is common in RV parks. One review specifically mentions "bath houses" and "washer and dryers," indicating that these amenities are present. The staff, including the owners (Jason and Kim), are noted in positive reviews for their helpfulness and responsiveness, suggesting a hands-on approach to management. The reported year-round operation is a key feature, distinguishing it from many seasonal campgrounds in Minnesota. This allows for long-term or extended stays, which can be appealing for those seeking a more permanent RV living arrangement or a base for exploring the region throughout the year. The park's management of winter spots, which reportedly fill up early, also highlights its popularity for colder weather camping.
Wills Riverview Campground appears to be promoted primarily through word-of-mouth and positive experiences shared by campers, as evidenced by the enthusiasm in some reviews. The "hidden gem" description suggests it's not a widely advertised or large-scale commercial operation, but rather a more intimate and perhaps locally-focused park. The strong positive sentiment towards the owners, Jason and Kim, in some reviews serves as a significant promotional element, emphasizing the personal touch and community aspect of the park. The year-round availability is a major selling point, especially for the hardy RVers who embrace winter camping. For inquiries about availability, reservations, or specific site details, interested individuals can contact Wills Riverview Campground at (952) 457-5436 or +1 952-457-5436. The address is 1705 3rd Ave W, Shakopee, MN 55379, USA.
It is crucial for prospective visitors to be aware of the more critical feedback provided by some past residents. These reviews raise serious concerns about the long-term living experience at Wills Riverview Campground. Accusations of owners engaging in "drama," "trash talk," and using and then discarding residents are present. Allegations regarding management's behavior, including calling the police for minor issues, and claims about the cleanliness and accessibility of shared facilities like bathhouses (lacking toilet paper, constant use of laundry machines by management) are also made. Furthermore, there are extremely serious and unsubstantiated claims about an FBI investigation and the owners being on a "watch list." These unverified allegations, while part of publicly available reviews, should be approached with caution and not taken as factual without independent verification. However, the recurring themes of interpersonal issues with management and concerns about facility upkeep warrant attention. Potential long-term residents, especially, should thoroughly investigate these claims and communicate directly with park management to understand their policies, rules, and to assess the current state of facilities and management practices. Visiting the park in person and speaking with current residents, if possible, before committing to a stay, especially a long-term one, would be highly advisable to form an objective opinion.

Wills Riverview Campground Reviews
Super Cool RV park is a hidden gem in Shakopee! Beautiful views and it’s right next to a kickass hike and bike trail right on the Minnesota River! The best part is the people that run it. Jason and Kim Rock!!This is one of the few parks in the state that is open all year. Minnesota winter RV park=Badass😎🥶👍☃️. Winter spots fill up early so plan ahead. We highly recommend staying here!!!
Oct 27, 2022 · Travis WindWe lived here for about 5 years the owners started off great they helped us out when we needed it! And it was much appreciated! However we noticed that they use people and when your NO good anymore they start drama and kick you out we seen this happen each year with different people and they trash talk about people! Well last year these new people came in with there 4 children and started using them and Kim and Jason who are the owners of the campground! talk trash about Jessica and Jarrod! every day! I have proof of that! but now they made Jessica and Jarrod there “ new management” be warned they call the cops on you for everything! These NEW managers have NO clue what they are in for! Not to mention the FBI is living in the campground because there is a huge investigation going on with Jason he’s on a watch list! This Campground is not recommended! Bath houses are dirty they don’t clean it they don’t provide toilet paper the washer and dryers are constantly being used by management so you can never do your laundry! This place sucks we will never return! I hope this place gets shut down for good!
Aug 17, 2024 · jennifer coleThis is not a weekend campground!! There were no fire rings, picnic tables or wood available. It is right on a train track so you listen to trains day and night. It was 45 a night for two people and the 30 dollars a night for additional people! On top of all that they are now sending a bill for electricity of 18 dollars. Let’s not even discuss the amount of traffic in and out of this tiny campground day and night. The bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper the whole first day . Would not recommend staying here.
Jun 13, 2024 · amy mckenzieI would give 0 stars if possible.Owner Kim is very nice, Cuban worker is also very nice & helpful!Other than that, the bath house/laundry smells horrible like mold & mildew. The bathrooms are locked at night. There is very little grass, mostly dirt/mud. Other campers are very nice. You really can not see the river unless you hike down there. The other owner, in my opinion, chooses who he likes and helps and who he decides get no attention or help whatsoever. You can camp weekly, but he decides how long you can stay, with 60 hour notice to leave after 3 months! Don't plan on long term, unless you like to gamble! Not worth it if you ask me!Although I did not officially stay at Will's, I did pay my daughter's rent the entire time she stayed there.
Jun 29, 2022 · Teresa OxendaleNice location. Owners Kim and Jason are VERY understanding and accommodating. They helped my son (first time RV resident). Gave a lot of advice and truly tried to help him with winterization. They are down to Earth people who go out of their way for their residents. I thank them both sincerely!
