Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas, Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park, located at 4268 FM 36, Caddo Mills, TX 75135, presents a potential option. You can reach them at (903) 527-3615 or +1 903-527-3615 to inquire about their services and availability. This park offers a combination of RV sites and cabin rentals, catering to different accommodation preferences for those exploring the Dallas Northeast area.
Based on the available customer reviews, Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park has both positive and negative aspects to consider when evaluating it as one of the "RV parks near me." The friendly and helpful staff, along with the availability of cabin rentals and lakefront RV sites, are among its noted strengths. However, potential drawbacks such as proximity to I-30 noise and concerns about park upkeep should also be taken into account.
Environment and Location:
One of the key locational features of Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park is its proximity to Interstate 30. While this offers convenient access for travelers, it also results in "very noticeable" noise from the interstate, which is currently experiencing construction in the area. This noise factor is a significant environmental consideration for those sensitive to traffic sounds when choosing from "RV parks near me."
The park boasts some RV sites situated next to a lake, offering "pretty" views. These concrete pads are described as "very long and wide," providing ample space for larger RVs. This lakefront setting could be appealing for those seeking a more scenic spot within the park. However, the overall park is not described as particularly scenic by one reviewer, suggesting that the aesthetic appeal might be limited beyond the lakefront area.
The internal roads within the campground are reported to be unpaved, leading to a "fairly dusty and dirty" environment. This lack of paved roads could be a concern for those looking for a cleaner and more manicured setting among "RV parks near me." The overall "curb appeal" of the park is also noted as needing improvement.
A significant portion of the RV park appears to be occupied by "folks living there full-time," with only a handful of slots available for short-term travelers. This demographic mix can influence the overall atmosphere of the park, and some of the long-term sites and RVs are described as "run-down and not maintained well," which could impact the visual appeal of certain areas.
Services and Staff:
The customer service at Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park receives high praise. The staff is consistently described as "friendly" and "outstanding." One reviewer who rents cabins for club events highlights the staff's exceptional helpfulness, particularly in proactively rescheduling cabin bookings due to weather-related postponements. This level of customer care is noted as being rare and greatly appreciated.
Another positive service mentioned is the willingness of the staff to allow guests to wash their RVs on-site, a practice that is described as "uncommon" in other RV parks. This amenity can be particularly valuable for travelers looking to maintain their vehicles during their stay.
The park offers both RV sites with full hookups (implied by the mention of concrete pads next to the lake) and cabin rentals. The cabins are described as "great" by a recurring customer, suggesting they are well-maintained and suitable for group events or those preferring a more traditional lodging option while still being part of the campground community.
The rates are described as "reasonable," which could be an attractive factor for budget-conscious travelers seeking "RV parks near me" that offer adequate facilities without premium pricing.
Features and Amenities:
Based on the customer reviews, the features and amenities at Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park include:
- RV sites with concrete pads, some located next to a lake. These sites are described as long and wide, likely accommodating larger RVs.
- Full hookups at the RV sites (water, electricity, and sewer are implied).
- Cabin rentals, described as "great" and suitable for events.
- The allowance of RV washing on-site.
- Reasonable rates.
While not explicitly mentioned, it is common for RV parks to offer basic amenities such as restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. However, the absence of specific positive comments about these amenities in the reviews might suggest they are either adequate but not exceptional or that the reviewers did not utilize them extensively. The lack of mention of recreational amenities like a pool, playground, or communal areas might indicate that these are either not present or not a significant feature of the park.
The presence of a lake could offer opportunities for fishing or simply enjoying the view, although this is not explicitly detailed in the reviews.
The fact that a significant portion of the park consists of full-time residents could foster a sense of community for longer-term stays but might also contribute to the less maintained appearance of some sites.
Promotional Information:
The primary promotional aspects of Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park, based on the reviews, appear to be its friendly and helpful staff, the availability of cabin rentals for groups, the reasonable rates, and the lakefront RV sites with spacious concrete pads. The willingness to allow RV washing is also a unique selling point.
For clubs or groups needing cabin rentals for events in the Dallas Northeast area, the positive experience with rescheduling and proactive customer service could be a significant draw.
Travelers prioritizing affordability and a friendly welcome while needing access to the Dallas area might find this park suitable, despite the noise from I-30 and the less scenic overall environment.
To inquire about specific rates, availability, and any potential discounts for longer stays or group bookings, contacting Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park directly at (903) 527-3615 or +1 903-527-3615 is recommended. The helpful staff will be able to provide the most current information.
Conclusion:
Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park offers a practical option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the vicinity of Dallas, particularly for travelers prioritizing friendly service and reasonable rates. The availability of both RV sites, including spacious lakefront options, and cabin rentals provides flexibility for different accommodation needs. The exceptional customer service, especially noted for group bookings and the unusual allowance of on-site RV washing, is a significant positive aspect. However, potential guests should be aware of the park's proximity to I-30 and the resulting noise, as well as the unpaved roads and the presence of some less well-maintained long-term sites, which contribute to a less scenic overall environment. While it may not offer the upgraded amenities of some other RV resorts, Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park provides an adequate and friendly base for exploring the area or for those needing a convenient stopover.

Dallas Northeast Campground & RV Park Reviews
I rent the cabins every time our club has an event. The cabins are great and the customer service is outstanding. just recently the club event was postponed due to weather and not only were they very helpful in rescheduling, They were pretty proactive in getting other members cabins rescheduled as well. You don't see customer service like this anywhere else. Love this place.
Mar 31, 2025 · SpaceMonkey Silver (Spacemonkeysilver)My wife and I spent a week here meeting relatives of ours from DFW who also camp as this was in the middle geographically. The rates were reasonable and the staff was friendly and they even let us wash our RVs while we were there which is uncommon. We stayed on one of the concrete pads next to the lake which was nice as the spots were very long and wide and the view on the lake was pretty. However, this RV park is right next to I30 (which is a mess in this area with construction) so the noise from the interstate was very noticeable. The rest of the park seemed to be folks living there full-time (other than just a handful of slots) and some of the sites/RVs were run-down and not maintained well. None of the roads were paved and it was fairly dusty and dirty. Overall, it was not a scenic park and it could have had better upkeep and curb appeal. We don't travel with our 5th wheel very often but when we do we enjoy staying at nicer places with upgraded amenities and this definitely did not fall into that category. Again, the staff was nice and it was adequate but not a place that we would stay again.
Mar 19, 2025 · Scott KaufmanSo glad we found this campground! We are a 42' motorhome pulling a 28' enclosed trailer (a beast)! We had a site long enough for our rig in a spot with easy access.Very friendly staff (Patty in particular) and a nice, clean campground. Will certainly stay here again!
Feb 27, 2025 · Lisa HostetlerCampground off the Interstate. Very clean well maintained park. There was a pond that you could fish in and a trail that went all the way around it. Staff was very professional and knowledgeable of area.
Apr 24, 2025 · Robin SharkeyWe were here for 2 weeks and after full timing for the last 2 months, it was our favorite park yet! Super friendly people here, not only the staff taking care of the property but the visitors as well. Lots of kids, some of which will offer to take your trash to the bin for a small fee. :) Lovely bathrooms, showers and laundry. Ice was a bit pricey and the weekly rate isn't prorated if you want to do additional days so if you want to save a lot, must book whole week segments. They also have a great monthly rate, but there's a waiting list for that because this place is so great!
