DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park Introduce
Seeking "RV parks near me" that offer both convenience and access to the St. Louis metropolitan area? Consider DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park, located at 200 Front St, East St Louis, IL 62201, USA. You can reach them at (800) 777-0777 or +1 800-777-0777 for reservations and inquiries.
Based on recent customer reviews, DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park presents a mixed experience, offering certain advantages in terms of location and amenities while also having some drawbacks to consider. Here's a detailed look at what you can expect:
Environment and Location:
One of the primary draws of DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park is its location. It is described as "convenient to the casino and downtown St Louis," being situated just across the river in East St. Louis, Illinois. This proximity offers easy access to the attractions of downtown St. Louis, including the iconic Gateway Arch, which is reported to offer a "nice view" from the RV park.
However, the immediate environment of the RV park itself is characterized as "not great" by one reviewer. Another describes it as "basically a parking lot with full hookups," indicating that the focus is more on functionality than natural surroundings for the RV sites themselves. There is no grass on the individual RV sites, which might be a consideration for those seeking a more traditional campground feel.
Despite the parking lot-like nature of the sites, there is a "very nice strip of grass and trees around the outer perimeter" of the RV park. This is a significant positive for travelers with pets ("furry friends"), providing a designated area for them to enjoy some green space.
A notable environmental factor mentioned by a reviewer is "a lot of constant train noise!" This suggests that the RV park is located near active railway lines, which could be a significant source of noise pollution for some visitors, potentially impacting the peace and quiet of their stay.
One review also mentioned a "big fire behind the casino" that caused a two-day electricity outage at the RV park. While the reviewer acknowledged that this was "by no fault of the rv park," it highlights the potential for external factors to impact the services and overall experience.
Services and Amenities:
DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park offers "full hookups" at each site, which is a significant advantage for RV travelers. Full hookups typically include connections for electricity, water, and sewer, providing essential utilities for a comfortable stay.
The availability of restrooms is mentioned, but the feedback is negative. One reviewer described the restrooms as "dirty" and reported issues with the lack of essential supplies such as "no toilet paper and no paper towels!" This suggests that the cleanliness and maintenance of the restroom facilities may be inconsistent or inadequate.
Laundry facilities are available, consisting of "just a couple of washers and a couple of dryers." However, they are reported to be "in good shape and work well," which is a positive aspect for longer stays. The cost for using the laundry is $3 per load, so users should plan accordingly.
A convenient service offered is the acceptance of mail and packages, which can be picked up at the hotel's front desk. This can be particularly useful for travelers who are on the road for an extended period.
While the RV park itself has limited amenities beyond the hookups, its proximity to the Casino Queen offers access to the casino's facilities, including dining and entertainment options. One reviewer described the casino as "small."
Features of the RV Sites:
As mentioned earlier, the RV sites are primarily described as a "parking lot" setup with no grass directly on the sites. This implies that the sites are likely paved or gravel and may lack significant landscaping. However, the presence of full hookups ensures essential utility connections.
The reviews do not provide specific details about the size or layout of the RV sites, such as whether they are pull-through or back-in, or the spacing between sites. This information would be beneficial for potential visitors to know when planning their stay.
The outer perimeter's grassy area with trees is a notable feature for pet owners, providing a dedicated space for their animals.
Staff and Customer Service:
Feedback regarding the staff is mixed. Reviewers consistently describe the "people working at the casino" and the "staff at the casino and hotel" as "very nice," "courteous," and "professional." However, one reviewer noted that they were "rarely friendly," speculating that this might be intentional.
There are no specific comments in the provided reviews about the staff directly associated with the RV park itself, such as check-in procedures or assistance with site issues, beyond the mention of the electricity outage being beyond their control.
Promotional Information:
The provided information does not include any specific promotional offers or discounts for DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park. Potential visitors should check the official website or contact the RV park directly to inquire about any current promotions or special rates.
The primary implicit promotion is the convenience of being located adjacent to the DraftKings at Casino Queen, offering easy access to gaming and entertainment for those interested. The proximity to downtown St. Louis and the view of the Gateway Arch could also be considered promotional aspects for tourists visiting the area.
Considerations for Potential Visitors:
Based on the available customer reviews, individuals considering a stay at DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park should take the following into account:
- Location Convenience: The park's proximity to the casino and downtown St. Louis is a significant advantage for those planning to visit these attractions. The view of the Arch is also a plus.
- Full Hookups: The availability of full hookups at each site provides essential utilities for RVers.
- Pet-Friendly Perimeter: The grassy area with trees around the park's edge is a valuable feature for travelers with pets.
- Train Noise: Be prepared for potentially significant and constant noise from nearby trains, which could impact your comfort and sleep quality.
- Restroom Conditions: The restrooms are reported to be dirty and lacking essential supplies. This is a significant drawback for those who rely on these facilities.
- Parking Lot Feel: The RV sites themselves lack grass and are described as a parking lot, which may not appeal to those seeking a more natural camping environment.
- Casino Access: The proximity to the casino is a benefit for those interested in gaming and entertainment, but it may not be a draw for all visitors.
- Staff Demeanor: While courteous and professional, the staff may not be perceived as particularly friendly.
- Laundry Facilities: The laundry is functional and reasonably priced, which is a plus for longer stays.
- Mail/Package Acceptance: The ability to receive mail and packages at the hotel front desk is a convenient service.
- Potential for External Issues: Be aware that external events, such as the reported fire causing an electricity outage, can impact the RV park.
Conclusion:
DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park offers a functional base for exploring St. Louis and enjoying the casino. Its key advantages are the full hookups, proximity to attractions, and pet-friendly perimeter. However, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues with train noise and the cleanliness of the restrooms, as well as the parking lot-like nature of the RV sites. The staff's professionalism is noted, though friendliness may be lacking. For travelers prioritizing location and essential utilities over a traditional camping ambiance and pristine facilities, DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park could be a viable option. However, it's crucial to weigh these factors based on your individual preferences and needs when searching for "RV parks near me" in the St. Louis area. Further research and potentially checking more recent reviews might provide additional insights into the current conditions and services at the RV park.

DraftKings at Casino Queen RV Park Reviews
We stayed in the rv park. Not great. Rv park had no electricity for 2 days by no fault of the rv park. There was a big fire behind casino that caused the outage. A lot of constant train noise! Restrooms were dirty and no toilet paper and no paper towels! Casino is small. People working at the casino. We’re very nice.

Nov 05, 2024 · Aaron BairdKinda far from the Casino, but relatively quiet, access to the tram right next to the casino which is convenient. Restroom/shower house was nice, laundry on site.
Mar 03, 2025 · Christy HedgesStory time. Moving my family (5 people, 2 little dogs, and two cats) from San Diego to the Pittsburgh area. Bought a used RV to make the long trip a little easier on everyone. My daughter really wanted to stop and see the arch and the pictures of this "resort" seemed worth the extra cost. When I realized that we would be rolling into town at around 3am I figured we would stop at a truck stop and kill a few hours while I booked a spot online as to not to disturb anyone and avoid being turned away for it be too early or just booked up. There was no info on the website about check in - check out times and at no point during the entire booking process or subsequent emails was it stated that check in wasn't until noon. When we arrived at around 8:30am there was no signage telling us where to go but we spotted it after a lap around the casino parking lot. Got to the gate and the code did not work and there was no escape from the gate without backing out. Luckily there was no one behind us and we were able to pull aside and call. This is when we were informed of the early check in fee. Haven't had this problem at any other RV stop. Fine, whatever. Code still wont work. Asked to wait until a manager can figure out why. Called back after 20 minutes of waiting. Code still wouldn't work. At some point an employee drove over and let us in the gate. Found our spot (was reassigned due to the one I booked still being occupied but also fine). Hookups are not in a great location as stated in other reviews but I made it work. Sewer hookup is just a straight pipe with no threading. Maybe I'm missing some connector I haven't needed at any other site I've stayed at? I carry duct tape so no problem. Parking space is nowhere near level so blocks were needed. Sure. The entire place was infested with stink bugs but maybe it was the time of year. Go to use the facilities and my code still wont work. Call again and told I was not checked in properly. Code still wont work. After trying a couple different codes I think they gave up and just gave me an employee code. Discover there are only 2 dorm size washers and 2 dryers for over 200 RV spots but they are luckily open and I haven't been able to wash for 5 people in over a week. Change machine only takes ones and fives and is out of change. Call again and told they would send someone over. 2 hours later still nobody shows. Walked almost a 14 mile to the casino to get change and the same back. The view from the camp is mostly of a huge parking lot and the side of the casino but maybe it looks better at night. We were able to walk over to a viewing spot on the other side of the casino about a half mile to a good spot to see the arch. This is a $100 a night experience. Twice the price of every other place I've stayed. It was more pleasant sitting in the parking lot of a truck stop the night before. Pass on this one and just hit a gas station.
Oct 22, 2024 · NexusOfCrisis70$ for a parking lot next to some train tracks in December… Should be 40 this time of year. Hookups are placed stupidly, no staff or amenities to be seen. Close to downtown which is the best part, and the casino, although I would not recommend it.
