Driftwood Mobile Home Park Introduce
Driftwood Mobile Home Park is located at 612 N Cascade Dr UNIT 72, Woodburn, OR 97071, USA. For local users exploring housing options under the category 'RV parks near me', Driftwood Mobile Home Park offers a specific type of residential community: a 55 and older park designed for long-term living in manufactured homes. This distinguishes it from typical RV parks that cater to short-term recreational vehicle stays. You can contact Driftwood Mobile Home Park at (503) 982-6570 or via mobile phone at +1 503-982-6570 for inquiries about residency and community details.
According to customer reviews, Driftwood Mobile Home Park presents a mixed picture. One resident describes it as a "real nice 55 and older community," indicating that it caters specifically to seniors seeking a community tailored to their age group. This reviewer also highlights the presence of "friendly neighbors," suggesting a positive social environment within the park. Additionally, the location is noted as convenient, being "right between I5 and route 99 in north Marion county," which could offer ease of access to transportation and surrounding areas.
However, another review introduces significant concerns regarding the park's management. This reviewer states that while the place is "nice enough to live," the "Management could be more helpful though." More specifically, the review alleges that the manager has a "click that she does special things for," implying potential favoritism within the community. Furthermore, it is mentioned that the manager and her "little poker, drinking buddies meet in the clubhouse on Thursday nights," which, while not inherently negative, could contribute to a perception of exclusivity or preferential treatment. The reviewer concludes with a cautionary note: "If you want to live here be ready for drama," suggesting potential social or interpersonal issues within the community that may be linked to the alleged management dynamics.
Considering these reviews, Driftwood Mobile Home Park offers the potential benefits of a 55 and older community with friendly neighbors and a convenient location. These aspects could be particularly appealing to seniors looking for a welcoming and accessible living environment in the Woodburn area. However, the serious allegations regarding management favoritism and the warning about potential drama are significant factors that prospective residents must carefully consider.
As a 55 and older mobile home park, Driftwood likely offers features and services tailored to the needs and preferences of senior residents. While not explicitly detailed in the reviews, these could typically include:
- Age-Restricted Community: Designed for residents aged 55 and over, fostering a peer group environment.
- Long-Term Residency: Primarily focused on providing a stable, long-term living situation in manufactured homes.
- Space Rental: Residents typically rent the lot on which their mobile home is located.
- Utility Hookups: Standard utility connections such as water, sewer, and electricity are usually provided.
Additional amenities and services that might be available at Driftwood Mobile Home Park (though not confirmed by the reviews) could include:
- Clubhouse: The mention of poker and drinking in the clubhouse suggests the presence of such a facility, which can serve as a social hub for residents.
- Organized Activities: 55+ communities often have planned events and activities to encourage social interaction and engagement among residents.
- Maintenance Services: The extent of on-site maintenance for common areas and individual homes (if any) is not specified.
- Security Features: Age-restricted communities sometimes have specific security measures in place.
The convenient location "right between I5 and route 99" is a significant feature that could appeal to residents who value accessibility for travel, shopping, and other amenities in the north Marion county area. However, the potential downside of being near major roadways could be noise levels, which prospective residents might want to assess.
In terms of promotional information, the positive aspects highlighted by one reviewer – a "real nice 55 and older community" with "friendly neighbors" and a convenient location – serve as potential draws. For seniors seeking such an environment in Woodburn, Driftwood Mobile Home Park might seem appealing. However, it is crucial to balance this with the serious concerns raised in the other review regarding management and potential community drama. Any promotional appeal based solely on the positive aspects would be incomplete without acknowledging the potential negatives.
For local users exploring 'RV parks near me', it is important to reiterate that Driftwood Mobile Home Park is a long-term residential community for those aged 55 and over, not a typical RV park for short-term stays. The focus here is on community living and the amenities and potential issues that come with a more permanent residential setting.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Driftwood Mobile Home Park, prospective residents are strongly advised to:
- Contact the management directly at (503) 982-6570 or +1 503-982-6570. Inquire about the specific rules and regulations of the 55+ community, the availability of spaces, lot rental fees, lease terms, and all amenities and services offered.
- Specifically address the concerns raised in the negative review regarding management practices and potential community drama. Seek clarification and understand the current management's approach to resident relations.
- Schedule a visit to the property at 612 N Cascade Dr UNIT 72, Woodburn, OR 97071, USA. Observe the overall environment, the condition of the park, and any common areas, including the clubhouse.
- If possible and appropriate, attempt to speak with current residents (beyond those who have left reviews) to get a broader range of perspectives on living in Driftwood Mobile Home Park. Ask about their experiences with the management and the community atmosphere.
- Inquire about any community guidelines or rules regarding social activities and interactions.
- Assess the noise levels due to the proximity to I5 and route 99. Visit the park at different times of day to get an accurate sense of the ambient noise.
In conclusion, Driftwood Mobile Home Park in Woodburn, Oregon, offers a 55 and older community with the potential for friendly neighbors and a convenient location. However, prospective residents must be aware of the serious allegations regarding management favoritism and the potential for community drama, as highlighted in one of the reviews. A thorough investigation, including direct communication with management and current residents, and a visit to the park, is essential to make an informed decision about whether Driftwood Mobile Home Park is the right fit for their long-term housing needs.

Driftwood Mobile Home Park Reviews
Driftwood is a real nice 55 and older community. I like living here, friendly neighbors and right between I5 and route 99 in north Marion county.
Dec 02, 2024 · Kenneth HaarsagerNice enough place to live. Management could be more helpful though. Manager has her own click that she does special things for. Manager has her little poker, drinking buddies meet in the clubhouse on Thursday nights. If you want to live here be ready for drama.
Jan 30, 2020 · Chris JeffreyThis is a 55+ facility with most of the residents on a fixed income. The only concern of management and owner is to make money. Many of the driveways need repairs but won't happen. Residences are repeatedly told "rent will go up" if things are fixed as should be. No one will speak up for fear of retaliation due to past instances. It's a shame. Location is good for retirees. Close to restaurants, shopping and medical.
Jan 07, 2021 · Bob ElyeaI've been here for about 9 years. It's a nice quiet 55+ park. Management is good.
Aug 13, 2023 · Michelle PotterPretty cool, you can get movies and watch em in your room from the office. They got games too
