E Double H RV Park at Waco Lake Introduce
E Double H RV Park at Waco Lake, located at 2144 McLaughlin Rd, Waco, TX 76712, USA, offers a unique experience for those searching within the category of 'RV parks near me' in the Waco area. Situated just outside the city, the park presents a change of pace in a potentially quiet and rural setting near Waco Lake. However, it's important to consider the contrasting experiences reported by different visitors to form a comprehensive understanding of what this RV park offers.
One long-term resident, who stayed at E Double H RV Park for nearly two years while working in the area, provided a highly positive review. They described the operation as "outstanding" and "very quiet," emphasizing the peaceful atmosphere as a welcome contrast to city life. This reviewer also noted the presence of local wildlife, including "lots of deer and turkeys," suggesting an environment that appeals to nature lovers. Furthermore, they commended the management as "absolutely delightful to work with" throughout their extended stay. The surrounding roads were also highlighted as "perfect to run and exercise" on, with cultivated farmland on either side, indicating opportunities for outdoor recreation in the vicinity. This positive account positions E Double H RV Park as a safe and secure option for those seeking tranquility near Waco.
In stark contrast, another review presents a significantly different perspective. This reviewer explicitly stated, "Do not recommend!" and cited several concerns. According to this feedback, the park is characterized as a "gravel lot" with "no shade" and "no amenities." The reviewer also found it to be "over priced" and described the owner as "rude." A particularly concerning incident mentioned was that their dog was bitten by a rattlesnake just "2 feet from our front door." Based on this experience, the reviewer strongly advised against staying at E Double H RV Park, suggesting a potentially unsafe environment and a lack of expected facilities.
Given these divergent opinions, it is challenging to definitively characterize the environment of E Double H RV Park. One account portrays a quiet, rural setting with wildlife, while the other describes a stark, unshaded gravel lot. The truth likely lies somewhere in the specifics of the park's layout and natural surroundings. Potential guests should be prepared for a possibly rustic environment with limited natural shade, depending on the location and setup of individual lots within the park.
Similarly, the services and amenities at E Double H RV Park appear to be a point of contention. The positive review does not explicitly mention specific amenities, focusing instead on the peaceful atmosphere and management. Conversely, the negative review explicitly states "no amenities," which could imply a lack of common facilities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, or recreational areas. The term "gravel lot" might further suggest a basic setup focused primarily on providing parking spaces for RVs rather than comprehensive services. Therefore, prospective visitors should not assume the presence of standard RV park amenities without direct confirmation from the management.
The features of E Double H RV Park are also perceived differently based on the provided feedback. The quiet and rural location just outside Waco could be considered a key feature for those seeking peace and proximity to nature. The reported presence of wildlife might also appeal to certain individuals. However, the description of the park as a "gravel lot" with "no shade" and "no amenities" paints a picture of a very basic offering. The contrasting experiences with the management, described as "delightful" by one and "rude" by another, highlight the variability in customer service perception. The potential presence of rattlesnakes, as reported in one review, is a significant concern regarding safety and would be a crucial factor for anyone considering a stay, especially those with pets or children.
No specific promotional information is included in the provided reviews. Therefore, any potential discounts for long stays, seasonal offers, or other promotions are unknown. Interested individuals should contact E Double H RV Park directly at (254) 394-2453 or +1 254-394-2453 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers that may be available.
In conclusion, E Double H RV Park at Waco Lake presents a mixed picture for those searching for 'RV parks near me' in Waco, Texas. While one long-term resident praised its quiet atmosphere, rural setting with wildlife, and delightful management, another reviewer strongly advised against it, citing a gravel lot with no shade or amenities, overpriced rates, a rude owner, and a dangerous rattlesnake encounter. These conflicting accounts underscore the importance of considering all available feedback and potentially contacting the park directly for the most up-to-date information and to address any specific concerns regarding amenities, safety, and the overall environment. Potential guests should weigh the reported benefits of a peaceful, rural setting against the potential drawbacks of a basic infrastructure, lack of shade, and the serious safety concern raised in one of the reviews before making a decision about staying at E Double H RV Park.

E Double H RV Park at Waco Lake Reviews
Stayed here working for almost two years. They have an outstanding operation, very quiet. It’s a nice change of pace, just outside the city. Lots of deer, and turkeys in the area. I’d recommend this park for anyone, and the management was absolutely delightful to work with throughout my stay. The roads around there were perfect to run and exercise with cultivated farmland on each side. If you want peace of mind with a safe and secure place to stay around Waco this is it!
Jul 27, 2024 · Steve MageeDo not recommend! It is a gravel lot. No shade. No amenities. Over priced & Rude owner. Our dog was bit by a rattle snake 2 feet from our front door. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.Pictures speak for themselves.
May 02, 2023 · Cade BrooksI was a first timer with my new fifth wheel and stayed here during my work stint in Waco. Bonnie, the owner, was very kind on the phone and was very responsive by text throughout my entire stay. She was available 24/7, and I appreciated the closed loop communication regarding memos and receiving/paying rent.I am a night shift worker and I found this park very quiet- I'm sure, in part, to the park having no amenities like previous reviews mentioned. The park was relatively full- there are a lot of long term trailers there- but everyone was quiet and kept to themselves during my 10 week stay. The only trouble I had sleeping during the day was when the wind would rock my trailer. It is situated in the middle of some farmland, so it was relatively windy the entire time. When I left, there was some construction being done as the park is being expanded, but I didn't find the noise disruptive or bothersome.Location is great- again, in farmland, but I found it quiet and charming. The park was very close to grocery stores and my work site- about a 10 minute drive to what I needed. I would certainly stay here again for any length of time, whether for work again or passing through, and have already recommended the park to family that were passing through on their way to San Antonio. If you're looking for a no fuss, quiet park, this is great. If accommodations and extras are important, it probably isn't for you. It truly is just a gravel park with dumpsters for trash. I paid $525/mo w/utilities included when I left at the end of April. Rent was increasing to $550/mo May 1st I believe.
May 04, 2024 · Ashley RomansWhat a treasure of a park! Serenely tucked amongst the cornfields and beautiful countryside. The view across the pasture of the amazing Texas sunsets is an added bonus with your stay here. The E Double H staff takes great effort to provide a well maintained park and it doesn’t go unnoticed! The messaging system used by management runs like a well oiled machine, whether it be receiving proactive helpful information/guidance from them when need be, to receiving an almost immediate response to any inquiry from their quest. There is an abundance of well kept grassy areas to let the “littles”either human or 4 legged & furry burn off some energy or for the grown-up guest to take a relaxing stroll and enjoy the view. I have been a guest here for several months and I have laid my head on my pillow every night without any hesitation feeling completely safe in this environment. This park is clean, peaceful, spacious and welcoming. You will surely find it to be a win-win just as I do with all of the tranquility it exudes and yet only being just minutes to all of the conveniences of town. During a brief conversation, the owner made a comment that stuck with me. She said they just want good guest that appreciate the value in this park.I believe that is easy to do during your stay at E Double H RV Park! 😁
Nov 09, 2022 · Corbin RidgewayAbsolutely an incredible park. I moved here from Washington and was looking for an RV park to stay in while hunting for a home. This park is clean and quiet and well taken care of. The people who own and run it are so very kind. They are not only great people, that I so enjoyed getting to know, but since finding a home they have helped me to find tradesman. They’ve reached out to check in with me. I’m very grateful to have found this spot and these people. I was a little sad to leave after 6 weeks!!!! I recommend this RV park 💯!
