Easy Living Manufactured Home Community Introduce
For individuals exploring "RV parks near me" with the possibility of transitioning to long-term mobile home living in Lawrence, Kansas, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community, located at 3323 Iowa St, Lawrence, KS 66046, presents a residential option. However, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding various aspects of living in this community. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available feedback, highlighting potential drawbacks that prospective residents should carefully consider.
One particularly strong review urges potential tenants to "just save yourself and don't move here!" This emphatic statement is followed by several specific complaints. The reviewer mentions that rent increases occur annually, and fees are implemented "at random," suggesting a lack of predictability and potential for escalating costs for residents. Furthermore, the quality of maintenance is described as "not well kept (half ass and RUDE)," indicating dissatisfaction with both the effectiveness and the demeanor of the maintenance staff. A significant safety concern is raised regarding speeding within the community, with the reviewer noting that "people speed all over the place INCLUDING maintenance/company cars." This suggests a potentially unsafe environment for pedestrians and children. The reviewer concludes by stating that the initial experience might be positive to attract residents, but it will subsequently devolve into a negative situation ("they'll get ya in and then it'll be a shit show"). Finally, the office staff is characterized as "unhelpful," contributing to an overall negative perception of the management.
Another review details a negative experience as a prospective tenant attempting to use a Section 8 housing voucher. The reviewer, who identifies as a good tenant, states that after informing the management of their Section 8 status, they were told that while the voucher amount would be considered as income, direct payments from the housing authority would not be accepted. The stated reason for this policy was the management's unwillingness to deal with the "legal hoops" and paperwork associated with Section 8. This policy appears to be discriminatory and directly impacts individuals relying on housing assistance. The reviewer advises other Section 8 applicants to "avoid them and report them," indicating a potential violation of fair housing practices.
Considering these two reviews, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community appears to present several significant challenges for potential residents. The first review paints a picture of rising and unpredictable costs, subpar and rude maintenance services, safety concerns due to speeding traffic, and unhelpful management. These issues collectively suggest a potentially stressful and unpleasant living environment.
The second review raises serious concerns about discriminatory practices against Section 8 voucher holders. Refusing to accept direct payments from housing authorities, while counting the voucher as income, creates an insurmountable barrier for individuals relying on this form of assistance. Such a policy limits housing options for Section 8 recipients and may violate fair housing laws.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering a transition to a manufactured home community for longer-term living, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community, based on the available reviews, does not appear to offer a positive or stable living environment. The reported issues with rent increases, fees, maintenance, safety, and management unhelpfulness are significant deterrents. Furthermore, the alleged discriminatory policy against Section 8 applicants further diminishes the appeal of this community for a substantial portion of the population seeking affordable housing options.
Given the severity of the concerns raised in the reviews, it is strongly recommended that potential residents exercise extreme caution if considering Easy Living Manufactured Home Community. Seeking alternative manufactured home communities or exploring other long-term housing options in the Lawrence, Kansas area would likely be a more prudent approach.
If, despite these warnings, individuals still wish to inquire further about Easy Living Manufactured Home Community, it is crucial to contact the management directly at (785) 749-2200 or +1 785-749-2200 to seek clarification on the reported issues. Inquiries should specifically address policies regarding rent increases and fees, maintenance procedures and responsiveness, traffic enforcement within the community, staff helpfulness, and the community's policy on accepting Section 8 housing vouchers. It would also be beneficial to visit the property in person to assess the overall environment and, if possible, speak with current residents (beyond those who have left reviews online) to gain a broader understanding of the living experience.
However, based on the readily available recent feedback, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community appears to be a community with significant problems that could negatively impact the quality of life for its residents. The combination of rising costs, poor service, safety concerns, unhelpful management, and potentially discriminatory housing practices suggests that prospective tenants would be well-advised to thoroughly explore other options for long-term housing in the Lawrence, Kansas area before considering Easy Living Manufactured Home Community.

Mar 05, 2025 · Yanna FlynnSo I was attempting to be a future tenant and I am on section 8 which I understand the bad rep we get but at the same time we are really good tenants we take care of our home. So after informing them that we are section 8 they told us that they would add the voucher we're approved for as our income but will not accept payments from them. The reason behind it was they didn't want to deal with the legal hoops they would have to go through and all the paperwork if you are section avoid them and report them

Dec 09, 2024 · Ryan RankinWhen they tell you how much lot rent is, you'd expect some kind of service to go along with it. Yes there's a poorly maintained pool, a tiny outdated park (also poorly maintained), a basketball court that seldom used. Water is constantly shut off for repairs. If you want to put a fence up for a pet or just added security, well you just can't do that. If you own your home, don't expect any kind of service from maintenance as they only cater to renters, even though we all live in the same community that management is oh so proud of. Was told by management after I informed them that our freeze plate on our water meter broke due to sub-zero temperatures, that maintenance would come out, thaw our pipes, and replace the plate. My wife was informed by maintenance that they don't do that for homeowners for whatever reason. There's a lot that goes into living here, mainly stress.
