Based on customer reviews, the West RV park section of Fairgrounds RV Park, located off Delmar, features a concrete parking lot setup. While the aesthetic is utilitarian, the functionality is highly appreciated, with reviewers specifically mentioning the availability of all essential amenities. These include sewer hookups, a reliable water supply, and crucial 50 amp power service, catering to the needs of modern RVs with higher electrical demands. This focus on essential infrastructure makes Fairgrounds RV Park a dependable choice for travelers prioritizing functionality and connectivity.
One of the standout features highlighted in the reviews is the quality of the bathroom facilities. Described as "great" and "nice clean restrooms, with showers," these amenities contribute significantly to the comfort and convenience of guests. Clean and well-maintained restrooms are a key factor for many RV travelers, and Fairgrounds RV Park appears to deliver on this front. This attention to hygiene and comfort enhances the overall experience, especially for those who prefer to utilize on-site facilities.
Another practical amenity mentioned is the presence of an ice machine. While one reviewer noted it was "wet," suggesting potential maintenance considerations, the availability of ice on-site can be a significant convenience for RVers, particularly during warmer months. It's worth noting this detail for those who rely on readily available ice for their cooling and storage needs.
The name "Fairgrounds RV Park" itself hints at a significant locational advantage: its proximity to the fairgrounds. One reviewer explicitly mentioned the abundance of open spots before the fair, suggesting that the park caters to attendees of events held at the fairgrounds. This makes it an exceptionally convenient option for individuals and families visiting Oklahoma City for fairs, exhibitions, and other events hosted at this central location. Booking early is advised, especially in the lead-up to major events, to secure a spot at this conveniently situated RV park.
While the reviews provide positive feedback on the amenities and cleanliness, one suggestion for improvement was regarding the overnight lighting. A guest mentioned that it would be nice if the lights were turned off around midnight. This feedback, while a minor point, indicates that the park prioritizes security and visibility at night, which can be reassuring for guests. However, some may prefer darker surroundings for sleeping. This is a subjective preference and doesn't detract from the overall positive assessment of the park's facilities.
In summary, for those searching "RV parks near me" in Oklahoma City, Fairgrounds RV Park offers a no-frills yet functional and conveniently located option. Its concrete parking lot setup prioritizes essential amenities such as sewer, water, and 50 amp power. The availability of "great bathrooms" and showers, along with an ice machine, further enhances the practicality of this RV park. Its close proximity to the fairgrounds makes it an ideal choice for event attendees. While the setting is more utilitarian than scenic, the focus on essential services and cleanliness provides a comfortable and reliable base for exploring Oklahoma City and attending local events.

Fairgrounds RV Park Reviews
This review is for the West RV park off of Delmar. It is a concrete parking lot with all the amenities, sewer, water, 50 amp power and great bathrooms. My complements to everyone involved. We loved it. It would be nice if the lights went off at say midnight.
May 14, 2022 · Douglas PetersonI am not using the RV park. Yet lots of spots open before the fair. Get your spot early. Nice clean rest rooms, with showers the ice machine is there wet you might go to a store for that
Sep 06, 2024 · Rick BorstI think it is absolute crap you are going to charge people $10 to run their own generator and going around at night leaving notes especially since the campground is nothing but huge mudholes and the sites are not level. I am also very unhappy that everything has to be done online with a credit card surcharge when we used to be able to pay by check or cash. Just because you want to be paid by a credit card should not be an additional expense. I will find other places to stay in the future.
Nov 10, 2024 · Dana WhiteThis review is for the old RV park.PROS: Walked to rodeo, coin show and barrel racing. Good sources or water and electric power. Responsive to phone calls. Good, accessible dump station. Great AT&T reception: 40MBPS. $25/night in town. Lots to do in Oklahoma City. Highly recommend visiting Old Town Guthrie, OK.CONS: Confusion over new vs old RV Park. Old RV park needs an overhaul but is $20/night cheaper. Unfriendly reception: Receptionist was caged in an old rusting shack with a sliding plexiglass window. Trash strewn around park. Unkempt. Noise during the day. Tried to hijack us into paying $45/night for the new RV park. We paid $25/night for the old RV park for 30Amp electric. One homeless person asked for money or food. No effective security in RV park. People living in or using bathrooms as temporary shelter.LOUD train with horn comes a couple of times per day or night. Only 100 yards away.To qualify to camp there, you must have a fairground event that you will be attending. Qualification is easy: We attended the free coin show. Not family friendly: Lots of rules: No children allowed walking or biking around the park without an adult.
May 12, 2018 · Tim’s TipsEnjoyed our stay. Everytime we had a question, someone picked up and was very pleasant and willing to help. Definitely staying here next year when we come back. Thank you!
